The anger that was burning in Derick’s vein shows it in his physical expression. Derick as being taught by her mom hates a man to lay his hands on a lady despite the situation and here is Mike doing it and to the one he is crushing on.

 

“Stop it the both of you “! Ana shouted from the ground as they were about reaching each other. She stood up in a hurry packed her books ready to leave just then Mr palz arrived.

Back to Mr Ellison house, maids were walking to and fro the house attending to their mistress, security guards were everywhere doing their duties too. Mrs Ellison could be seen on one of the couch relaxing in the hot afternoon hours but the cool AC helped the house to be balanced. Her gold earrings kept sparkling including her

 

 

gold watch, soon Mr Ellison arrived tge sitting room too, picked up the remote and change the channel to zee world as the wife smiled

 

“Darling ” she said and stood up to where he sat, he gave the remaining drink to tbe husband who collected and emptied tvR content inside his throat.

 

“Thank you sweetheart ” he said

 

“Darling don’t you think Mike is no longer a kid “? she asked waiting for the husband to say something.

 

“He’s no longer a kid, but why saying so “? he pushed forward

 

“Mike has gotten to the age of getting married, he’s 25 and I need a daughter in-law so badly, not these rascals in the house called maids ” she said adjusting to the husband

 

“Don’t call anyone names, change is the only constant thing that occurs. Things can change today and those rascals you call them happens to be the one’s that will help you ” Mr Ellison Said thus making the wife to be provoked

 

“What do you mean by that? or have you been banging them when I’m not around

 

she said while Mr Ellison raised up his hand in anger to slap her as she shouted in fear while the old man dropped the hand down.

 

“End of discussion ” he said and walked out

Back to TOLEDO UNIVERSITY everything was settled in Mr Palz office who told the two kids not to die in the process of falling in love, Mike was not even listening to him all his mind was how to leave so that he can clear off his mind.

 

“Now get out of my office elements of insults ” he said and lean on his chair and relaxed.

Ana, Rose and Evelyn could be seen in the library trying to figure out the assignment being given in the lecture hall, Ana mind was not in the assignment, her thoughts has travelled far but her body was there.

 

“Ana what’s the problem with you “? Evelyn asked looking at her while Rose straighten looking at Ana ,remembering her predicament she pitied her.

“Hello dad good day” Derick greeted on phone placing it on his ear

 

“Yes son, I want to see you in the house this evening ” Mr Eric Said

Time flew fast and activities in Telodo university were observed as usual, Ana walked out of the library looking so dull as usual. Rose and Evelyn had left already leaving her alone in the library.

 

Derick was on his way to the department of agriculture to meet his friend when he sighted Ana again,he looked around to see the environment was scanty he walked up to her.

 

“Hey Ana ”

 

“Derick ” she replied without looking at him

 

“Sorry for what happened earlier between you and Mike ” he apologized

 

“It’s nothing but let me be ” she said with her tiny voice that sounds romantic in the ear of every guys, feeling the pains on her neck where Mike grabbed earlier made her tk swallow hard

 

 

Are you sure you are okay “? He asked while she faked out a smile that melted Derick’s heart

 

“Yes am fine ” she replied trying to walk away but Derick grabbed her hand making her to turn in a way their face almost jamb with each other ”

 

Derick grabbed her neck slowly seeing the place that looks reddish and she felt the pain but pretended as if nothing happens to avoid more problem between Mike and Derick.

 

“I’m fine ” she replied walking away

 

“What about having dinner together “? Derick shouted at her retrieving figure

 

“Call your girlfriend “! she shouted back too making Derick to gasp thinking of how to make it clear to her that he has no girlfriend.

♥ ANA POV ♥

 

The way the idiot called Mike held my neck as if I’m one of his maid hurt me to the last extent but I found myself so wean to fight back. Seeing the eyes of students fed on me without doing anything hurts me to that bones and almost at the point of dying Derick the stubborn guy showed up, his smile is always unique, the same guy I hated with passion for nothing sake came out to defend me. His smile towards me showed it very well that something is wrong somewhere. His sweet scent filled my nostrils, I just sat on the floor and watch him exchanged words with Mike as if he’s my super man, I felt inward happiness but deep down I knew that if I don’t stop them something more than that will happen that was why I had to stop them but here he came again inviting me for dinner when I strongly know that he has a girlfriend and I won’t like to have him on my paths again.

Derick had already gotten to the house just to respond to the call of his father since he’s the first born of the family, after the afternoon food and a bit rest, the father invited him to the sitting room with the wife and junior the smally.

 

“Welcome back once again Derrick “Mr Eric the father said. Grey hairs could be seen on the old man head and jaws, his physical appearance showed that he’s advanced in age. The house looked local and they were not financially stable.

 

“Thanks dad ” he replied smiling

 

“Good. The reason why I called you is to inform you that I will be selling the land which I promised to give you as your own inheritance ” he said lowering his voice and looking down

 

“But why dad “? Derrick asked

 

“You see my son, things are really hard for us down, including the person we borrowed money from some years ago to see you through in school we didn’t pay hjm back and he’s even planning to harm us. The same thing made us send out your other sister Benita as a maid to Mr Ellison house which supposed not to be so ” Mr Eric said almost crying including the wife who looked so sobber.

 

Derrick felt the pain of his parents and his heart skipped, hearing how they sacrificed to see him through in education made his tears to finally drop.

 

“Dad you can sell it if only we will see someone to buy it ” he said while the father embraced him

 

“Thanks son ” he said

 

♥ DERRICK POV ♥

 

Hearing the whole story my dad told me made my tears gland to be activated and

 

finally the tears I was holding back finally dropped. My sister who is just the same

 

age with me being a maid just for the sake of money not even in somewhere else

 

but in Mike’s house, but I strongly believe that things will surely turns out for my

 

favoure

It was becoming dark already but not much, the time reads 6 :47pm telling the citizens that time for rest and dinner was near, Derrick laid faced up in his room facing the ceiling. His thoughts went back to Ana but he tried to control himself thinking about the situation at hand and the possible way to make his parents story change for good, his throat was dry and he needed to drink something light to keep his throat alive, he stood up wore his shoes and then walked out of the house to the street just to get something for himself. He was only on singlets ,just as he crossed over to the other side of the road he sighted a figure that looks familiar in his eyes but he wasn’t sure because it was not possible. He tried to walk away but but his instincts kept telling him not to, her scent was everywhere, just then the person turned and Derrick almost fainted seeing it’s the person he was thinking of as he hurried his steps towards that direction wondering what the person is doing there. .
