“Not really. We will talk about this later.okay. I replied.

 

“But why?” She asked.

 

“Do you want to exchange your night drive with some boring old folks story?” I asked. The thing is I really don’t want to talk about it now. As I expected, she objected.

 

“Hell no!” She yelled through the phone.

 

“Sounds much better” I replied with a smile displayed on my lips.

 

“Hey, what is the yelling for?”

 

I heard Amy’s voice.

 

“Shhhs” I heard Paula trying to quieten her.

 

“No I won’t” she said more louder.

 

Then before I realize a high pitched voice sounded in my ear. She must have snatched the phone from Anna.

 

I chuckled as I heard her panting. She must have run with the phone.

 

“Hi Mr Lover boy your….” She started saying.

“Amy shut up else I will bury you alive!” I heard her threaten Amy. Whatever Amy has to say I’m sure it will be fun.

“Okay back to you, Mr Lover boy as I was saying, your Fiance couldn’t stop fantasing about your wedding night. She has tried all the lingeries and the tongs in the mall to today and has even started doing yoga and learning new positions….”

 

“Amyyyyyy!!!” I heard Paula shout and the line went dead.

 

Amy can be so crazy at times.

 

I scrolled through my phone and dialled Daniels number. Daniel is a very good friend of mine since elementary. He is like the brother I never had.

 

After we completed college, he went ahead to read law. While I did economics and bussiness management.

 

So far we’ve been successful in our various fields.

 

Daniel is now a famous prosecutor while I on the other hand had earned myself the title of the richest bachelor. Well not anymore though. I’m engaged.

 

 

 

After my dad died, I took over his company which I later worked on and now it’s a whole empire.

 

The man whom I considered to be my dad and now I’m hearing another story. So frustrating.

 

“Hey Casanova” I spoke into the phone when he picked up.

 

“My faithful assistant” he replied.

 

Not anymore. I’ve been saved.” I played along. “How come?” He asked.

 

“I received salvation. Go for your own ASAP” I replied. “Who was your salvation?”

 

“A woman named Anna Paula”. I replied. “Then I have to see her for my own salvation”.

 

 

“I will castrate you. Go and find your own ‘salvation’ dude.” I warned jokingly.

 

“Whipped” he teased.

 

“You can testify. Anyway, where are you? ”

 

“About to go get some bitches. You?”

 

“Too bad… you have to fu.ck with me today. I’m sure you will manage because I got an extremely soft butts ” I replied unable to stop my voice from cracking.

 

I would’ve agreed if I haven’t hold those concrete ass before”. He replied through laughter.

 

“Coming to your place now. I need to while away time. I will pick Anna up at 6pm “. I placed the phone down while I change from my suit to casual.

 

Anna Paula’s POV

 

 

“Awww. You’re the best. So you came all the way here just to make things right between us?” Amy asked as we were on the bed.

 

She is right. That’s the main reason why I came here anyway. But of course I won’t admit it.

 

You wish” I replied. “I’m stating facts babe”

“Whatever” I replied in defeat with my hands flying in her face by reflex action.

 

“Oh my God! Anna! What’s this?” Amy exclaimed suddenly. Holding my left hand. She immediately sprang up from the bed.

 

I snatched my hand from hers.

 

“No fu.cking way!” She exclaimed again.

 

“Yes way!” I laughed.

 

She got off from the bed and pulled me along with her.

 

Before I realize, she started jumping and twirling me around.

 

“Anna I’m so happy for you. Tell me, when did it happen. Tell me all of it” said excitedly.

 

“How will I be able to tell you if you keep pulling me around” I complained.

 

“Ok fine fine”. She said and came to a halt.

 

“Oh my gosh! That woman is sure a bitch. I’m glad you showed her her rightful place” Amy commended after I was done with my narration.

 

“So you’re going for a night drive?” She asked.

 

“Yes” I smirked knowing where Amy was driving at.

 

“I will go with you, right?” She pouted.

 

“Unfortunately No!” I smirked.

 

“But why? We’re friends right?”

 

“It’s my time with Pablo. Just the two of us. No bestie?” I teased.

 

I brought my phone to call Pablo. I’ve been calling for a while now.

 

“Hello” his voice strained.

 

“Pablo. I called his name as relief washed over me.

 

 

“Why were you not picking up? I’ve been worried sick and imagining the worst. Don’t ever do that to me again. I breath it all out at once. I glanced at Amy and she rolled her eyes 360°. I pinched her slightly.

 

“Are you okay? I asked because he was too quiet.

 

Is it about mum?” I asked calmly.

 

“Not really. We will discuss later.” He replied.

 

“But why?” I was persistent.

 

“Do you want to exchange your night drive for some boring old folks story?” He asked.

 

“Hell No!” I yelled.

 

“Sounds much better” he replied.

 

“What’s the yelling for?” Amy asked.

 

I placed my hands on her lips to keep her quiet.

 

“No I won’t. ” She said and snatch the phone from me.

 

“What was that for?” I hit Amy after snatching the phone from her.

 

“Why did you tell him all that?” I asked again.

 

“I can reverse what I said if you will lemme come with”

 

“Is that blackmailing?” I asked crossing my arms over my chest.

 

“No bess. I’m only using my God given talents.”
