Megan’s POV

 

 

“Just forget about it.” I said and left. I really didn’t know the reason why I was so interested in that.

 

I got back into the car and we drove to the airport.

 

While in the car, I surfed through the internet then I saw a picture of me on the internet captioned,”Time with pretty Megan”

 

“What?” I jumped up in the car that my head almost hit the car. It was a picture of me in that hell of a room.

 

I didn’t waste anytime before calling the police to track down the location of the person and arrest her.

 

I checked the comments and I just felt like killing each and everyone of them.

 

 

I can’t believe that those stupid girls attributed my name and features to being a girl.

 

Some of the comments were;

 

 

“He’s just too pretty no wonder his parents named him Megan.”

 

 

“Yes Megan is a girl’s name so why was he named Megan?”

 

“Maybe he’s actually a girl who has been disguised as a man.”

 

 

 

“Am not a fu.cking girl!” I yelled in the car.

 

I took my phone and reported all the blogs and accounts that posted that shit. But will it end there?

 

I checked the internet again and got a bit relieved when I saw that all the post have been taken down.

 

But what if it’s gets to the news? Or maybe it’s already being aired.

 

I have to do something but what? This will really tarnish my reputation for good if something is not done urgently.

 

But is my name really a girl’s name?

 

I have to find out.

 

I googled my name and it was stated clearly that it was mainly a girl’s name.

 

I wasn’t satisfied with what I got so I researched deeper but it was still same.

 

Why would my Parents give me a girl’s name?

 

I would have to ask mum now but lemme call Dad first.

 

 

“Hello dad?”

 

“I know why you called son. I was equally taken aback when I saw what happened on the TV as well as on the internet but don’t worry because I’ve already taken care of everything. You need not worry.”

 

“Are you sure dad?”

 

“Am sure son, anyone who dares upload any of that stuff or comments something contrary to that will not only have to face the courts but will face me as well.”

 

“Thanks Dad. You’re the bestest!”

 

“I know right. But where are you?”

 

“Almost at the airport.”

 

“Alright, when you arrive, try to visit your aunt because Marion will like to see you.”

 

“I thought he hasn’t arrived yet?”

 

“He will.”

 

“Okay dad. I love you.”

 

“Now I have no doubts that my son is really girly.”

 

“What ?”

 

“Nothing son.” He said and chuckled before hanging up.

 

 

PEARL’S POV

“The surgery was successful miss Darvis.”

 

“Thanks doctor. God bless you so much! Oh my God! Granny survived.

 

He survived for good.

 

I spread my arms and laughed as tears poured from my eyes.

 

All the nurses and some of the patients stared at me in bewilderment.

 

I arrived an hour ago and after the formalities being made, the treatment commenced.

And after waiting patiently for an hour, the surgery was done and it was successful.

 

“Can I see him doctor?” I asked in enthusiasm.

 

“Sure. He’s been asking of you!”

 

“Okay.” I chirped.

 

I hesitated for a while before getting inside.

 

“Pearl.” Granny called when I stepped inside his ward.

 

“Oh granny. You fought for me! You lived for me and I’m so excited. ” I said and hugged him.

 

“Am equally happy as you Pearl.” He said slowly.

 

“Thank you Pearl. Thanks so much. Now I can sleep peacefully. I love you Pearl.” He said and started closing his eyes slowly.

 

“Granny?” I called and held his face.

 

He didn’t respond but just smiled.

 

“Are you alright granny? I asked again as all traits of happiness left my face.

 

 

“Doctor!” I screamed when he closed his eyes.

 

 

MEGAN’S POV

 

“Where’s my mum?” I asked one of our maids when I got home.

 

I know dad will busy at work so I didn’t ask.

 

“She just left but I don’t know where she left to.” The maid explained

 

“Alright.”

 

I called her number.

 

“Where are you mum?” I asked when she picked up.

 

“Where else? You should know by now that if you doesn’t see me at home on weekends like this, then I will be at Paula’s.”

 

“Alright, am coming there right now and make sure to answer my questions when I get there.” I ended the call and walked to the Dominguez mansion.

 

Both our mansions are facing closely to the other and we share the same terrace so I need not take a car there.

 

“Mum? Aunt?” I called for either of them when I got to aunt’s house.

 

I ordered for a red wine and went to sit in the living room.

 

I brought out my phone and fixed the earpiece. I went through my playlist and selected a cool song.

 

Then suddenly, the earpiece was being pulled from my ear.

 

I jumped up in fright and my phone went flying out of my hand then it hits something, following with a loud shattering of glasses.

 

 

I looked back and it was a huge portrait that fell.
