Chapter Twelve

 

 

I woke up to a beautiful sunny Monday morning, I stood up from my bed and went to the bathroom.

 

I showered, did all necessaries things and dressed for work.

 

Eat breakfast happily and in peace.

 

Hoping yesterday was a dream, that there is no one called Seye.

 

I walked out of the house happily with a smile on my face but my smile fade away when I saw Seye and my heart started beating fast as I remembered but he said yesterday.

 

“Am crushing on you”

 

“Are you going to work already?” He asked.

 

“Yes why?” I asked heading to my car.

 

“I don’t get you” he muttered.

 

“Why are you asking if am going to work” I said and opened the car door.

 

I don’t get why I can’t ask you if you are going to work” he said as I felt him behind me.

 

I turned slowly towards him.

 

Our lips were just too close, “is it because of yesterday” he said with a crooked smile.

 

“Of course….. Not” I stammered.

 

“It is” he said and smiled.

 

I felt his gaze on my lips.

 

I feel like kissing you” he said still looking at my lips which made me somehow excited.

 

He moves his head closer, he can’t kiss me I won’t be able to concentrate.

 

I pushed him away and he looked at me surprised.

 

“Why did you do that?” He asked.

 

“Are you messing with me?” I asked.

 

“What?”

 

“I don’t trust you, both you and your friend”

 

I was about to enter my car but he closed the door.

 

”I won’t ask you to trust me but am going to make you trust me step by step” he said while my heart pondered on his words.

 

 

“Let go on a date tonight?” He said which caught me off guard.

 

I wasn’t expecting him to say that.

 

“I don’t want to” I said expecting him to open the door but he didn’t.

 

“Open the door!” I ordered

 

“I won’t, untill you say yes”

 

“Am late”

 

“I don’t care” he replied.

 

”Shit, ok I will go on a date with you satisfied?” I asked.

 

“Great, enjoy your day” he said and opened the door and I entered.

 

Crazy jerk.

 

 

Seye pov

 

I smiled happily, am one step ahead of Tim.

 

But yet am scared.

 

what I fear is that I might not be able to make her mine, and also I wonder if it is only a crush.

 

I don’t want to hurt her, my feelings for her might not be that deep but I still don’t want to hurt her.

 

I cant bring myself to even think of hurting her.

 

“I looked at my watch, let prepare for a date” I said smiling brightly.

In my room, thinking of what to wear.

 

I just can’t think of anything right now.

 

I heard a soft knock on my door.

 

“Who could that be”

 

‘Could it be Ariyike?’ I thought smiling.

 

I went to the door and opened it, surprised and disappointed at who it was.

 

“What do you want?” I asked.

 

But all of a sudden, she pulled me closer and kissed me.

 

Shocked by her actions, I couldn’t move away.

 

What was the kiss for?

 

I pulled away, “what is the meaning of this?!” I shout angrily at her.

 

I turned to enter my room when I saw Ariyike.

 

She must have seen what happened.

 

What if she takes it wrong?

 

“Ariyike?”

 

I could see Tosin smiling.

 

Was this all planned?

 

 

“Ariyike” I called and went to her but she moved away.

 

“I just saw Tim, he told me you two made a deal about who gets the girl?” What does she mean?

 

Tim, as he finally played dirty.

 

“Was it all a game to you?” She asked

 

“Everything, was it all a game?”

 

Was my feeling for her, a game?
