Episode 24: GRAND FINALE

 

Six months later

 

Ella’s POV:

 

“get down already Ella!” I heard Daniela shout downstairs.

 

It’s not like I’ve been taking longer than expected, Gabriel asked me to take my time in dressing up because he has some sort of surprise for me.

 

Today is their graduation ceremony, we already did that during the day and now

 

Gabriel’s throwing a party for all the students at their mansion tonight.

 

Our parents and a few other parents will celebrate theirs here at my house.

 

Our parents didn’t just leave us to hold it, we’ve got security everywhere and also on some streets all to prevent something bad from happening.

 

So people don’t all end up like me, or harm themselves. We won’t tolerate nonsense.

 

I walked down elegantly dressed in a long cream chiffon dress with lacy designed net at the top.

 

Gabriel bought it for me, it’s quite expensive and I feel so uncomfortable yet unfortunately I have to wear it.

 

 

Daniela is looking so pretty in that purple dress, our hairs were styled by the same hairstylist.

 

I’m beginning to think this is more than just a party, we’re dressed like it’s a dinner or engagement party.

 

Andrew’s really good to his girlfriend, he decided to move on with Daniela which is a great choice. Daniela’s been a great girlfriend too, those love birds sometimes want to make me feel jealous.

 

“wow… Ella you look different” Daniela exclaimed.

 

“ummm… Thanks” I replied.

 

“Gabriel’s so gonna go crazy when he sets his eyes on you, you’re so gorgeous girl” “awww… I feel flattered, you look like an angel too bestie. I don’t think Andrew’s gonna recognise you” I said.

 

She blushed tomato red, “I’m so shy. You really think he won’t recognise me?” I nod in agreement.

 

“your ride is here. Now you girls get your gorgeous faces out and behave yourselves” mom said.

 

We hugged her, “thanks mom, bye”

 

We went out and saw the chauffeur waiting by the car, Gabriel is such a sweetheart sending this expensive car to pick us up.

 

He opened the door for us to get in, then he drove us to the mansion.

 

Gabriel’s POV:

 

Students and teachers and parents all trooped in, I know I lied to Ella but I’m making this a surprise.

 

I want everything to be perfect for tonight, even if the step is a little bit earlier I

 

still think now is the right time.

 

What if I lose her forever?

 

I don’t want to think about it cos it will never happen, she’s mine for ever. “what are you thinking about Gabriel? We’ve been calling you for ages but your mind is not here” Romeo uttered bringing me from my reverie.

 

“I just want everything to be perfect, I’m still a little scared though… What if she’s not ready?” I inquired bothered.

 

“come on man, you can’t back out after what we planned. You have to do this now or never.” he told me

 

I nod in agreement, “I’ve got this. I can do this”

 

“that’s the spirit buddy, I think they have arrived. Let’s go welcome them” he

 

dragged me up.

 

“Where’s Andrew?”

 

“he’s welcoming guests at the party, just came to call you first”

 

We went down to the party which is holding at the garden.

 

Our parents are seated and so many people are trooping in, I suddenly set my eyes on something beautiful coming my way.

 

I couldn’t take my eyes off her, she’s looking like an angel and the dress fits her

 

perfectly.

 

Ella’s POV:

 

His eyes bore my skin as I walked in, he won’t stop looking at me. My heart is throbbing very fast, I feel so nervous especially since everyone is looking at me also.

 

I finally got to where he was, I saw Daniela walk up to Andrew. They shared a kiss.

 

My eyes met with his, I saw deep desire and admiration all over him.

 

“you are so beautiful. I’m relieved that you’re mine” he whispered making me blush.

 

“thank you my love, you are very handsome and you know that. I’m rest assured you’re mine alone ” I replied then we kissed.

 

Then I noticed something, all eyes are on us and our parents are here. What is going on?

 

” Gabriel our parents… ”

 

He shut me up,” shhh…Let’s enjoy the party”

 

I can’t seem to understand what is going on, lights suddenly show on the stage.

 

Some dancers came out, I didn’t see him again.

 

Marry you by Bruno Mars started playing, everyone was cheering the dancers but I keep looking for my Gabriel.

 

He brought me here to sit alone and disappeared, just great. Eventually I saw him join the dancers, I clapped and cheered flattered. They stopped with the words ‘MARRY ME ELLA MARCUS’

 

My heart stopped beating, why didn’t I understand the whole thing since? Gabriel is proposing to me? I think I’m going to explode anytime soon.

 

He walked towards me with the spotlight on him, then he knelt with one leg in front of me. I can’t even move as everything is happening so fast and I’m shocked. I wasn’t expecting something like this so soon, what do I do now?

 

“I don’t want to lose you, so I want us to get engaged. No other girl deserves to be my wife other than you. You’re the girl I’ve hurt so much but you forgive me without hurting me back. Other girls in your shoes would have gotten rid of it but you decide to have it no matter how shameful it is.

 

 

I can’t forgive myself easily, I love you so please let me be with you so I can show you how sorry I am, so I can love you for the rest of my life and my son.. I want more kids from you, please say yes”

 

Those words really got me so emotional, I feel the tears coming down now. “you shouldn’t have done this, you didn’t have to do all these” “you don’t like it? I’m sorry I didn’t know… ”

 

you should have just asked and I will gladly say yes because I love you. Why won’t I marry you? Who else am I supposed to marry?” a smile crept to his face. “that’s a yes” he asked, I nodded.

 

He brought out a beautiful diamond ring and necklace, he slipped the ring on my finger and then wore the necklace for me.

 

Then he kissed me, everyone cheered and clapped. We got up and went to meet our parents, mom is also crying.

 

I know she’s thinking of dad, I hugged her.

 

“don’t cry mom… Dad’s happy wherever he is now because he’s always with us.” “I know my darling, I’m only crying because of how happy I am ” she replies.

 

congratulations kids” his parents said.

 

“Thank you mom and dad” we both said together.

 

Andrew, Romeo and Daniela all came to meet us.

 

“You’re really gonna get married and leave us?” Daniela asked making us laugh. “We’re not leaving Daniela, we’re gonna be together for a long time” I said with a smile.

 

“I know, I’m just joking” she said.

 

We hugged each other, then I hugged Andrew.

 

“Congratulations Ella, you deserve to be happy with my buddy” he said.

 

“Thank you Andrew”.

 

“To celebrate all this, why don’t we just start the party already” Romeo said and we laughed.

 

“But you girls can’t go in this so you are going back into the mansion and changing into something comfy” Andrew said.

 

We quickly went back and changed into the clothes they brought for us, the party

 

began.

 

“Shall we?”

 

I smiled as he led me to the dance floor.

To me the bad incident is actually a blessing in disguise. My baby is alright and has brought us together, the man I love so much ended up becoming mine forever.

 

 

I actually ended up loving my enemy as I thought he was and I chose love over revenge.

 

All hope is not lost, never let your problem weigh you down.

 

You can overcome it if you’re willing.
