Episode 17

*Stephanie’s POV*

I got to school today and sat on my seat yeah, the one near Jessica.

She walked in with Fred and looked at my direction with those*you can go die bitch! He’s mine* eyes. They both sat down next to each other. Annabel walked up to me and sat near me. She and I talked for a while and I realized she wasn’t that bad of a person though.

At recess,Fred and Jessie sat down opposite me and whenever I looked at them she rolled her eyes.

Annabel joined me which brightened me, ” Hey Steph! What’s up! Why you both sitting apart?” She asked.

“Nothing’s going on,she just wants privacy with her boyfriend but we cool” “Okay then, since you both are cool that’s fine. So what’s your favorite colour?” “Why do you ask? Well I don’t know, maybe red or yellow. No red! It’s definitely red”

“Oh Steph fine, what’s Jessica’s?”

Blue,I think. Why are you even asking? “Well there’s a party,it’s a birthday day and congratulations party for my cousin. He had a kidney transplant done and survived it so we’re throwing a home coming party for him too and I want you both to come along. I’ve never been close to my family,I view everyone as an opponent instead of a pal. I was had an opportunity to be reunited with them but I ruined everything and now I want to reconcile to them” she said.

Wow! Annabel was really opening up to me. We’d become that much of a friend and I understood her so I agreed and told her to ask my mom for permission. She agreed to that and talked to Jessica,” Hey Jessica come join us!’

“No! I don’t want to sit with Stephanie so please come over” Jessica said rolling her eyes.

Well that was harsh,” Annabel I’ll meet you in class then. Bye”.

The next day at school, Annabel wasn’t around and I really felt her absence. I was alone no one to talk with and there was Jessie with that bastard!

At recess,I sat alone and as usual The crazy love birds sat opposite me to torment me but I didn’t care. Why would a cheat be of interest to me?

I stood up to get back to class but tripped over something and fell.

Everyone around laughed yes, including my best friend and her boyfriend.

I felt hurt and embarrassed so I got up and left for the bathroom to clean up.

*Susan’s POV*

I was done making breakfast but Steph was no where to be seen. I had to check the calendar to make sure it was a Thursday not a Saturday. I went up to her room and knocked,” door’s open mom”

I came in and saw her still cuddled under her duvet and it was already 7.

“Steph honey,are you okay? It’s past 7 now and you’re not dressed for school yet”

I don’t want to go to school today mom, please mom” I could see tears in her eyes so I called the school telling them Steph was sick and couldn’t come today.

I rushed back to her and asked what the problem was ‘ I have no friends mom’s she said crying

“And Jessica?”

“We had a fight and now she doesn’t talk to me” “Why, what’s wrong?”

I don’t think I should be telling you this but please promise me you won’t tell Mrs Nuel”.

I agreed and then my daughter opened up to me. I was shocked at everything and that showed that I wasn’t giving her Parental affection but only cared for her needs. “So what about this Jeffrey guy? You still love him?” I asked her

“Yes mom, I know he’s changed for the better and loves me. He promised he’ll come back for me”

“So Jessica has a boyfriend who she blindly loves to the point of letting you alone and breaking her virginity?”

“Yes mom” I said wiping my eyes.

“Fine then, let’s keep our fingers crossed, I believe your Jeffrey will come back since you really love him”

“And what about Mrs Alberto and her son?”

“We owe her nothing but our gratitude not a Marital alliance so I’ll call her and explain everything to her,am sure she’d understand”

“Aww,thanks a lot mom” she said hugging me.

Honestly,I used Sarah’s words. No one should be forced into a relationship with someone they don’t love. It won’t end up well.

I called Ben to check up on him

” Hey Mom, how’re you doing?”

“I’m good son, you? I hope you taking your medications!”

“Yes mom,I have a friend here who is taking good care of me”

Oh! Please send my appreciation across to him”

Uhmm.. it’s a she mom”

“She? Is she your girlfriend?”

“Something like that. Well yeah and I’d love you to meet her”

“Alright then,no problem”

“Thanks Mom, you’re the best! I love you!”

“Love you too baby”

Ben talking to me about a girl, something he’s never done before got me thinking he’s really growing.

Stephanie! Get dressed. I’m taking you shopping.

Yayy! You’re the best mom!

We’re going to my favorite Mall!

Of course we are! It’s your treat.

I hugged her tighter. My mom’s the best!
