Moment of tears

From the clinic,grannys condition was not improving at all,first, they said it was fever but after conducting more tests on her, the clinic officer requested to take mama to kasama general hospital. The clinic officer called for an ambulance to

take them to general hospital. As soon as the ambulance came, Bupe got after mama was put in then Lewis rushed back home.

They arrived at the hospital and mama was taken in an emergency room.. Bupe was so worried and she was just alone. It was already 7pm. The doctor came out and she asked how her granny was doing but the doctor gave her the results.

After reading the results,she broke down in tears. People were just watching her.

“There are no medicine but we suggest you take her to the private hospital and do it quickly,we have done the tests and your granny had fever but now she has stomach problem which needs to be operated and taken care of.as you can see,we can operate her but we have no medicine to stop the pain after operation,”the doctor said.

“What do I do God, oh God help my mama to be fine again.”she cried.

They brought mama out of the hospital,on one hand she didn’t have money and on the other hand it was late. She stayed at the hospital for almost an hour before Lewis showed up with a taxi. They went home and she didn’t know what to do. Her mama was not even taking any food.

The next day, she decided to see the doctor in a private hospital.

“Operation is k570 and the medicine costs k300,” he said.

“The sum of k870,where will I get that amount from doctor,okay can i just pay in installments doctor please,”she begged the doctor but the doctor refused.

In the afternoon Bupe decided to see Miguel if he could pay her k800 salary in advance. She arrived at home and there was only Miguel. Mariana was not home. She first went to see Miguel who was in the living room.

She was crying non stop. she knelt down.

“Sir am asking if you can pay me in advance,i need to pay for grandma’s treatment please sir,”she pleaded.

“I will give you k1500 just for free,stop crying okay,i don’t want to see you like this during the party ,okay,”he said and Bupe felt relieved.

“Thank you sir,God bless you and add more,”she said wiping the tears.

She called Lewis to take mama to a private hospital and he did just that.

“Don’t be so happy Bupe,there is a condition for to have the money.”he said showing the money to her.

“Which condition sir,you know I need the money badly and it’s agent,i will do what you ask me to,”she said.

“Well, the condition is that,you have sex with me and you will have all this,”he said and she dropped the money to his face.

“To hell with your money,miguel,i will not allow take my pride,iam poor but that doesn’t mean I will do that,”she said crying.

She left the house in anger.

She went straight to the hospital and nothing was happening.they were waiting for her to bring the money.

She pleaded with the doctor to start treatment and assured them that the money was going to come. Mama’s condition was worsening that she decided to go plead with Miguel.

She left without a word and took time for her to reach home. The party was going on. She waited for the party to end. After the party,people left.

She cleared everything in the living room and and Miguel stood by the door.

She turned to him after cleaning.

“Am ready to give in Sir,for the sake of my granny,she is everything to me,”she said.

Without wasting time,miguel carried to his room and started undressing her.she was just crying. On the other hand,mama was loosing her breath,she couldn’t breath well.

The time Miguel was sleeping with Bupe was the same time Mama was passing on.

They were done having sex and mama passed on.

The beddings were wet with blood.this meant that she was a virgin.

After that, she was given k2000. Early morning she went to the hospital.

She gave the doctor the money but it was too late.

“We are sorry,we lost her,”he said and she gave the doctor a slap.

“You are mistaken,i have the money here,treat her doctor please,”she said.

Lewis came in the morning to check. After taking her to mortuary, Bupe went back to Miguel and threw the money on his face.

“You got what you wanted,am sure you are happy because mama is dead,thanks a lot,”she cried,from now on,i quit the job,i can work here any more.

“Rich people are not worth humans, you give and expect something in return,what kind of humans are you,i don’t ever wanna see your face Miguel,”she said slamming the door.

Miguel followed her.he pleaded for her to stay and that he realized his mistake but all was in vain.
