CHAPTER 16

 

 

Sebastine bought a new house,and some new men wears and nice shoes and bought some books ,he also went to Barb a new hair cut,he was now looking so handsome like never before.

 

Melissa is taking a nap in her room after reading her books,flora is in the sitting room doing some assignments,when her mother came out from her room.

 

Celine

 

 

“My princess how are you this evening,hunny”,she asked smilling while she approach flora closer where she sat

 

Flora

 

“Mother you are home?, thought you were not home, maybe you went to your business or so”, she asked as she stands to hug her mother

 

Celine

 

“No my dear,have been inside,was stressed of yesterday’s sales,so I decided to stay in resting for a while”, she replied while disengaging from the hug

 

Flora

 

“Ok mother,

 

Celine

 

“So what Is my princess doing now,cause I can see you are busy”,she asked with consern

 

Flora

 

“Mother am doing my assignment, mother can I ask you a question??”, she asked dropping her pen on her textbook closing it

 

Celine

 

“What is it my princess,? she asked focusing on flora

 

Flora

 

“Mother do witches and wizards exist?”,she asked

 

Celine

 

 

“Yes dear they do,and why ask that kind of question hunny”,she asked surprised

 

Flora

 

“Mother it’s Melissa,she is a witch,she do things strangely at times,and am scared of her mother,I want to be good to her,cause I don’t want dad to have an heart attack again”, she explained to her mother

 

Celine

 

“your father had an heart attack,when? surprised but pretending

 

Flora

 

“Mother it’s was four days ago,and he died ,but I don’t know how he manage to come back alive”she told her mother

 

Celine

 

“Well he got what he deserves,

 

Flora

 

“Mother why say that,huh

 

Celine

 

“Cause he said Melissa is the heir to his properties, don’t you get,

 

Flora

 

“Then why are you happy of his heart attack,you did it right??

 

Celine

 

“Of course not,I will never do that ,I love your father”, she said and stood up

 

 

Flora

 

“Mother we are still talking ,

 

Celine

 

“Continue with your assignment,end of talks

 

I don’t want you to pity Melissa,she is going to take your place,are you ready to give her your money and properties,huh”, she said poisoning her daughter’s mind towards Melissa

 

Flora

 

“No mother,I won’t let that,she is not my sister”, she said sternly

 

Celine

 

“That my girl,come here”, she said pulling her daughter into a tight hug

 

Flora

 

“Am sorry mother,I will never give her space,mother less I forget she has a boyfriend”,She said

 

Celine

 

“What,a boyfriend?? surprised

 

Flora

 

“Yes mother,and he is too handsome to be hers”, she said sadly and jeolously to her mother

 

Celine

 

“Do you like him, hunny

 

 

Flora

 

“Yes mother,I do

 

Celine

 

“Then tell Melissa to leave him for you,that she do not deserve him”, she said wickedly and seriously

 

Flora

 

“Ok mother, thanks for your advise,I love you

 

Celine

 

“Thats my girl,i love you too

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

THE NEXT DAY IN THE EVENING

 

Celine shouted for Melissa’s attention.

 

Celine

 

“Where is this stupid girl,she left my house uncleaned and dirty like trash house,and she Is inside sleeping, Melissa “,she called again

 

Melissa

 

“Mother,here I am

 

Celine

 

“who is your mother,never you call me mother again,you this witch

 

you left my house uncleaned and dirty and go stay in your room doing nothing

 

Melissa

 

“Mother I was about coming to tidy up, before you called

 

Celine did not listen,she gave Melissa a very hot slap.

 

Celine

 

“Now you go in there,and clean up my house,you dummy and good for nothing child”, she said kicking Melissa

 

Melissa quickly took all the dirty things in the house and went to wash them,she met her father coming down from the stairs, going to his normal night shift.

 

Rick

 

“Are you ok Mel,huh you look sober,is anything wrong

 

Melissa

 

“Nothing father,am ok,let me go wash this dishes and do the laundry”,she replied faking a smile

 

Rick

 

“Ok my child,go do it fast,what about your sister ?,

 

Melissa

 

“Father,think she is in her room,

 

Rick

 

“Ok,you can go call her to

 

assist you in the cleaning up ok”,be nice and good ok,see you tommorow morning

 

Melissa

 

“Ok father,see you soon and stay save ,I love you

 

Melissa pretending in front of her father,and went inside the kitchen and cried her eyes out, blaming her mother for bringing her into this world,where she left her for this wicked woman, flora cannot cook or even boil a cup of rice,she always do the cooking, laundry and the cleaning of the house,while flora stay ldle ,she is been treated like a maid in her own father house, Melissa thought and cried so much.

 

Melissa

 

“Mother why leave me to suffer in this world all alone,I can’t take it anymore,come take me away from here,I can’t bear it anymore”, she cried bitterly,and walked down to the back of the house where the pool Is located,she decided to end her life by drowning.

 

Melissa

 

“Father am sorry I need to take my life,I can’t take this suffering anymore,mother am sorry i forgive you for leaving me,but I need to end it once and for all,step mother and flora I love you all,and i forgive you for all the maltreatment ,but I know you did it cause of annoyance,but I need to end my life cause I can’t endure all this pains anymore”, she said and stood starring at the pool about to jump into it, without anyone seeing her.

 

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MELISSA,WILL SHE DIE JUST LIKE THAT??

 

WHAT WILL SEBASTINE DO ,DID HE REALLY KNOW WHAT’S GOING ON WITH MELISSA??
