Anna Paula’s POV

 

“What will I be doing here alone” I pouted.

 

“What did you also want me do all alone after you’re gone with Pablo?” She blurted and came out of the car.

 

“Sorry” I said after I realised that I should’ve let her come along with us.

 

“Don’t be sorry. Clubbing is much fun than the drive. It’s sounds crazy. Your driver is behind us” she said raising an eyebrow towards him.

 

I turned and he was leaning quietly on the car.

 

He soon received a call.

 

Silly me, I don’t even know his name.

 

He walked towards where we stood after the call.

 

“Please may I know your name” I asked the moment he got closer.

 

“Xander.” He replied.

 

I nodded.

 

“Here. He stretched forth his hand,”Your car is parked at your house. Here is the key” he replied.

 

I stared at the hand for awhile. I craned my neck to see the car he was leaning on before. It’s was a different car.

 

I looked at Amy and she was busy staring at Xander through her mask.

 

What’s with this girl?

 

 

“Okay.” I replied and took the key from his waiting hands.

 

“Okay. I will be on my way then. Please don’t hesitate to contact me in case you need my service”. He said and walked away.

 

“Thank you” I said behind him.

 

I turned to Amy and her eyes were glued to the retreating back of Xander.

 

“Stop drooling” I chided.

 

She rolled her eyes, “I’m only admiring him. I don’t like him”.

 

” I didn’t say you do”. I replied.

 

My phone started ringing, I picked without looking at the number.

 

“Helloo daughter in law” I heard a shrill voice.

 

I brought back the phone from my ear and stared at the screen. It’s an unknown number.

 

Now I wished I’ve downloaded Truecaller on my phone.

 

I put the phone back to my ear.

 

“Hi” I whispered.

 

“How are you celebrating your little victory my dear?”

 

Is Florencia of course. I can easily recognize her voice from thousands. “Mrs Dominguez?”

 

“You guess right! I just want to offer you a piece of an advice. Make sure you live in every moment. Spend each day like it’s your last.

 

Enjoy while it lasts. Goodbye” with that, the call ended.

 

“Who was that?” Amy asked.

 

“Who else? My monsters in-law” I replied.

 

My phone started ringing again.

 

“Haven’t you said enough already? Why do you always find delight in taunting me…”

 

“Relax Paula. Is me. Pablo.”

 

“I’m sorry. Is just that…”

 

“No. Don’t explain. I understand.”

 

“Okay”

 

“Where are you?”

 

“Erm… I think” I glanced at the at the board.” Exclusive. Yes exclusive pup” I replied.

 

“What are you doing there? Whom are you with? Don’t you want to go driving with me? You should’ve told me you had a change of plan.i wouldn’t….” He rattled.

 

“Will you listen to me first? To answer your questions, I came here with Amy. I was just about to leave anyway, where are you?”

 

“I’m at your back”

 

“Huh?” I turned suddenly. There he is, looking dapper than ever with arms stretched apart eagerly waiting for my hug.

 

That sight alone melted my anger.

 

 

“See you bestie” I quickly kissed her on both cheeks, “call me when you finally get home.”

 

I run excitedly into Pablo’s arms and buried my face into his chest. He felt so warm.

 

And he smells so Devine.

 

“Can we go now?” He asked.

 

“Sure!” I nodded

 

He scooped me in his arms in a bridal style. I giggled all the way. He dropped me in the car and we zoomed off.

 

 

Xander’s POV

 

 

Gosh! This work is so risky. But I’ve got no choice I have to do it for the money. I will be so rich after am done.

 

I almost freaked out when that rich brat complained about my voice.

 

I have to forge that old man he hired voice.

 

And that Anna girl also seem to be suspecting me.

 

But why was that masked lady staring at me that way? Is she suspecting me too.

 

I really don’t care.

 

She is so pretty and she kinda look familiar.

 

I’m glad I’ve been able to gather some tangible informations.

 

I have her address now. Mission one accomplished.

 

I’m sorry Paula, I have no choice.

 

I got into my flat and fell on my bed. This house is so boring lemme change and go find some bitches to fu.ck at the club.

 

 

I’ve been to Soo many clubs but I haven’t been to where I followed Paula and her masked friend to.

 

It’s looks quite expensive and classy.

 

I’ll try it out today. And I can’t wait to see the masked girl. She look so cute even though I couldn’t see her face.

 

“Arghhh” I groaned when her face came into my mind. Why do I keep thinking about her?

Amy’s POV

 

 

I felt lonely as soon as Anna left me. I felt so jealous. If I had my own way, I will not

 

have allowed her to go.

 

But I felt so happy seeing her happy with Pablo. After so many years she’s got a reason to smile.

 

That alone gladdens my heart.

 

I fixed my mask as I got into the club.

 

I almost cried when I remembered all the good memories I had with Jude in this club. This was the first place he brought me when we started dating. Since then I’ve loved this place.

 

I think coming here is a bad idea. I shouldn’t have come. Memories of Jude keep flooding my mind.

 

My eyes roamed the big hall and

I went straight to the bar and ordered for a drink. I need to drink my sorrows away.

 

“Which one do you prefer?” The bar man asked.

I frowned my face as I swallowed the somehow bitter liquid.

 

I finished the glass and asked for another shot.

 

I held the glass in my hands as i walked the flight of stairs to the VIP section. I staggered as the drink started to take effect on me.

 

My phone started ringing.

 

Who is calling me now.

 

I brought out my phone but it ended. I tried checking the number but i mistakenly missed a step on the stairs. Before I knew it, I was reeling down the stairs. I groaned as I felt my head hitting every stair I roll on. My phone went flying in the air. Why did I come here alone?

 

I didn’t even inform my manager of my whereabouts.

 

If I had agreed for a bodyguard, then I won’t be falling into the arms of this hard stairs am rolling on. They would’ve caught me in their arms.

 

Or if Jude didn’t betray me, I would’ve been here with him like we always do.

 

My vision blurred as I reached the end of the stairs I felt my body being lifted into a firm chest.

 

My blurry eyesI beheld the most gorgeous face I’d ever had the privilege of seeing. He had deep and consuming, brown eyes as though there was fire smoldering behind them. His features were sharp and chiseled yet with hints of passion and softness in the way he met my eyes. He said nothing for a while and stared at me with an unreadable expression.

 

I didn’t miss out to see him slightly widen his eyes at the beginning.

 

“Somebody should call the ambulance she is losing consciousness” was the voice I heard before I went unconscious.
