Chapter sixteen
Ariyike pov
“Ariyike try to understand me”
“Understand what, who are you really? Everything about you was all lies”
“Listen to me, it is not that I wasn’t going to tell you, I have my reasons and also you are taking this too far”
“Too far? you know what, just get lost” I said and head for my car.
What does he takes me for? Taking it far? he lied to me but yet he expect me to be cool with it.
Everything was a lie, I don’t even know who the man I have feelings for is.
And I had to find out about it from her, and yet am taking it too far?
Am I at fault or him?
But now am regretting asking him to leave, why does everything I like or find special always end up bad?
Why?
Seye pov
Why is Ariyike acting like this?
It isn’t like I wasn’t going to tell her sooner or later.
She is just taking it too far and she doesn’t even care about the harm it could do to us, to this.
What am I even saying? We didn’t get a chance to be anything.
Today was just a disaster.
I wonder how she found out, it isn’t like it really matters.
It seems she doesn’t want to have anything with me again.
What should I do, what can I do to have her back.
Dolapo pov
“So?” Mr Akin asked when I came in and collapsed on the chair.
“Let me rest”
“No, answer me” he said
“Yes, am sure those two had a fight”
“That is good, but do you think that will end them both?”
From the look of things, it seems so, I don’t care as long as my plans goes like I want it to.
Ariyike and Seye, am sorry but this is what I do for living.
Now Seye, let me take Ariyike’s place in your heart.
A week later
Ariyike pov
“Are you not going to talk to him? I heard he is coming today to pack his things?” My mama asked.
“Am not, he should leave”
“What is wrong with you Ariyike, this guy clearly likes you a lot” “He likes me but he lied to me, he made me look like a fool” I yelled.
“Don’t you think you are taking this too far? you are only going to hurt yourself, you finally found someone who likes you sincerely, so why are you pushing him away yourself” My mama said as she put her hand on my shoulder.
I removed her hand “mama I need to dress up for work pls let me be” “I hope you won’t regret this” She stood up and went out. I buried my face on my bed, sobbing.
I looked at my phone, expecting him to call to ask me to stop him but he doesn’t.
It was only my imagination.
I stood up and dressed up for work.
Is this really the end of me and Seye, we haven’t even started dating yet.
I got to the work a bit late and tired, “Good morning” I greet shade.
“Morning ma, are you ok?”
I gave her a weak smile.
“Yes”
“Do I have any visitors?”
“Yes” she said.
“Ok, get back to work” I ordered and went to my office.
“Good morning” I said closing the door
I turned and saw seye with a man.
He stood up when he noticed my presence.
What does he want?
“What are you doing here?” I queried.
“Am not here for a fight, am here for an important matter” “What do you want?” I sighed trying not to sound harsh or cold. “Am not here as Seye Dare, am here as the real me Seye Oludare.” “I came here to ask for a favour”
“Which is?” I asked harsh as I couldn’t control my emotions.
“I want you to find me a bride”
Did I hear him right?
What does he mean?
“Find me a bride Ariyike”
