Sasha push the stretcher towards the elevator.
“Am sorry Gem but I can’t watch them hurt you……” She said.
“Sasha……let’s go…..” They carried her into the car and zoom off.
The car soon arrive at the seaport. They boarded a ship.
Leon didn’t know what to do to convince grandma. He did have the video of Gem’s father but that was not enough evidence to prove he didn’t try to murder his grandfather.
“Leon…..

where is Gem?” Mother asked
“What I left her in her ward…..
she must be…..

“She’s not there……
!!!!” She yelled
“Mom please am not in the mood for pranks……
” Leon said……
he finally stood up and walk to the room.
The ward was empty. He frown. He walk to the baby in the incubator and caress the glass.
Leon walk into the bathroom, sitting room…..
all was empty…..
he began to panick…
Noah ran in.
“I can’t find Sasha her bodyguard too……
” He said.
“What!!!!……
, Tell the men to search every ward……
you go check the CCTV footage…..I’ll go meet
grandma!!!”.
“Leon be careful…..
” Mom said and Leon didn’t even mind her.
Gem was finally awake in the ship.
“Gem…..
Gem are you feeling okay?” Sasha asked. I wanted to move my hands but it was chained to my bed.
“What’s going on….

” I panick
“Am sorry gem….

“You won’t be seeing your baby anymore for his own safety!” I heard a voice. I turned towards the
direction…it was an elderly man.

“Quiet Jolene!!!” He yelled.
“Let me go…..
I’ll pay you any amount you want please……
Sasha….how could you do this to me!!!” I cried….
“Gem….
it’s for your own good…..” She yelled
“Jolene listen to us!!” The man said

you’re my niece…..” He yelled…..i was silent for the time been as he explained to me……I
cried and cried….

“No….. grandma….she loves me….I’ll explain to her….it’s not….my fault….I don’t care about my parents…..
please take me back to Leon….to.my child!” I pleaded.
“You’re not going……if you go back you’ll put the life of your child in danger….your husband will have to part from his family…..Do you want to.cause war?, Think about it Gem….what was her reaction when she found out your identity…..she pushed you and your pregnancy down……..” He said….
He was right…..so right……if I stay I’ll make things hard for Leon….for my child….. They’ll be fine without me…….
“Please Gem….be strong….we can start a fresh…..we will stay were Leon can never find us…..I promise” Sasha said.
Leon walk out of his grandmother house…. Earlier he has gone to ask if she was the one who kidnap Gem and
she said she wasn’t but she was happy that she’s gone.
Leon came back to the hospital….he looked at the child in the incubator…..
“What will you name him sir?” Noah asked and Leon smiled dryly.
“Liam…..he’s name is Liam……, Did you find anything?” He asked
“Nothing…..it’s like she just disappear….I think she left!” Noah said
“She’s heartless……how could live her child…..she’s just worse than Rose…..” Leon said and walk towards the bed. He lye on the bed and use his hands to cover his face…..Noah knew he was crying…..he blame himself for leaving her.
It’s been two days…Leon hasn’t eaten anything…… Grandma came to visit.
She looked at the child in the incubator….he was so small and beautiful….she felt guilty…it was her fault…..but she could never forgive her and her family.
“He’s name is Liam?….., What a beautiful name” she tried to speak to Leon. “I’ll help you look.for her” she said
“Don’t!!!!, Don’t look for her….let her go…..i don’t need her……she’s a devil…..she’s…..” He sigh……”Let’s just
pretend she never exist”
TWO YEARS LATER……..
A little boy with a bright spirit and sparkling eyes ran to his father.
“Dad……” He jumped into his arms.
“Liam……” Leon said
“Dad…..you didn’t came home last night….? Why?” He asked. Leon knew how Liam ask lots and lots of
questions that is above his age.
“Sorry Dad was busy” he answered
“Too busy to come read me my bed time story……?” He asked
“Daddy is sorry!” Leon said.
“Sorry won’t fix back the night!” Liam pouted
“Okay, how about I read you two stories tonight
….just to make it up to you?”
“Hmmm…..sounds good….
I’ll buy that” he smiled again. “Dad….

” Leon drag the photo from his hands. He had told them never to let the little boy see his
mother’s picture how could Noah disobey him.
“Dad…..
give the picture back to me!!!” Liam yelled

I’ll keep this from now” Leon said…

…..she’s my mother” he yelled

I said no!!!” Leon yelled and Liam began to cry. Of course the little boy knows his father’s weak point.

…take it!!” Leon gave it back to him, immediately Liam started smiling.
“Uncle Noah said mom was an actress….he’ll be showing me her movie today

” Liam drag his father along.
It was the movie he demolished back then……
seeing Gem….
Leon’s heart melted……tears that refuse to drop
hang in his eyes……
even though he doesn’t want to admit it….
he missed her…
he missed her like hell…..
he was
secretly still searching for her….for two good years….
still hoping to find her……
“Daddy…..
where is my mommy?” Liam asked looking at his father with tearing eyes.

I don’t know!” Leon said and carried Liam.
“I heard the maid talking….
they said mommy left me….
is it true?”
“Hmm….
but she loves you alot…..

“If mommy loves me then why did she leave me?”
“I don’t know Liam…..”
“I want mommy back…..my mommy…..” He yelled and fell asleep. Fresh tears still hang in his leashes.
Leon took Liam to his room. He returned downstairs and grab Noah
“Why did you tell him about Gem? And even showed him her pictures?”
“You know how persuasive he is Sir…..he kept coming and asking…..he was so scary…..I didn’t have a choice!”
“You’re afraid of a 2 years old?, Really?” Leon asked
“Daddy!!!!” Leon shock as his ghost nearly left his body. Why was he up again…..this child is sure scary. Leon
turn around.
“Yes your majesty?, Why are you up?” Leon asked
“I want to go skating with aunty Ruth today…am really bored at home…..” He ordered
“Yes…..yes…of course….. anything to make the king happy” Leon said. Liam nodded and glaze at his father
“Let uncle Noah be dad…. you’re being scary” he said
‘the only one scary here is you’ Leon thought “of course”.
Liam and Ruth was having fun. Ruth taught him how to skate and the little boy was indeed a fast learner.
“Aunty Ruth….I heard you were my mother’s manager back then……can you tell me about her on our way
home?” He asked and Ruth smiled.
“Of course cupcake…..”
“I’ll go pee now” Liam said
“Okay let’s go” Ruth said
“No way….you can’t go in there with me?, Am a man……it’s unacceptable!!” He demanded
“Uhnnmmm….okay….fine….just go.in….I’ll wait for.you outside” Ruth said. Liam nodded and walked into the
bathroom.
It’s been more than 10minutes he’s still not out….Ruth decided to go into the bathroom only to find out Liam
was gone.
“Hello Noah……I lose Liam…..I can’t find him……” Ruth cried.
“What!!!, How could you lose him!!!”
Leon glaze at Noah “what’s the yelling all about?”
“Sir….Liam…..Ruth can’t find him”………..
