Violet’s POV
He wants me to go on a date with him just for saving me!? Is this guy crazy!?
“Are you serious? ” I asked, my eyebrows raised in question.
He smiled.
“Nah. I’m just cute. ”
I rolled my eyes.
“Well Kyle, just because you saved me and now I’m apologizing doesn’t mean I’ve fallen for you or anything. You’re still the same pinhead who
touched my butt and kissed me without my permission on my first day so pardon me if I have to refuse your stupid condition. Goodbye! ” I said with finality.
“Okay okay wait! ” He said holding my wrist.
“What do you want? ” I asked turning back.
“I’m sorry okay? How about we just go out as friends? We can go to a restaurant or something of the sort as friends. ”
I snorted.
“That’s the thing Kyle. We are and will never be friends. Get that? ” I said before turning and walking away all the while wondering what happened to the former Kyle.

❌Kyle’s POV❌
I smirked as I watched her walk away. The girl was firm, I’ll give her that but no matter what, I was going to win the bet no matter what it took.
“You can run but you can’t hide, pretty Violet because no matter how much you run away from it, you’ll be mine at the end of the day. ” I thought to myself wearing a big smirk.
That was the thought that stayed in my mind as I walked out of the cafeteria only to meet her… The one and only Kacey Ramona.
“Hey Kyle. ” She said perkily upon sighting me.
“Hi Kace. ” I groaned as I tried to pass around her but she didn’t allow me.
“Okay Kace. What do you want? ” I asked sternly folding my arms.
“What? Is it a crime to be seen with you? ”
I gave her a pointed look so she sighed.
“Okay okay. I need to talk to you. ”
“What about? ” I asked angrily.
“Cmon Kyle, I already apologized. Can’t bygones be bygones? ”
“No they can’t…. Now can you get out of my way? I’m looking for someone.

“Kyle come on. It’s important. ”

“It’s Dylan. ” She said with tears pooling in her eyes I sighed again.
“What did Dylan do this time? ”
“He broke up with me. ” She replied already crying.
“Come on Kace. Don’t cry. You know how Dylan is. He’ll be running back to you by the end of the day. ”
She sniffled again.
“You really think so? ”
“Yes I do…and if it makes you feel anything better, I’ll talk to him. ”
Her eyes brightened up immediately.
“Really? Thank you Kyle! ” She exclaimed hugging me tight.
“This doesn’t mean I’ve forgiven you for killing my goldfish. ” I said narrowing my eyes at her when we finally separated.
She laughed.
“Come on Kyle. I’ve apologised several times already. ”
“Yeah whatever. I’ll talk to Dylan now. ”
“Yay! Tell me how it goes, will ya? ” She said walking away.
“Whatever kiddo. ”
“Kiddo!? ” She yelled turning around but I was already running so she couldn’t catch me.
Kacey’s identity isn’t far fetched. She’s the only girl I’m able to relate without any thoughts of s*x. She’s my only female best friend and Dylan is her boyfriend who also happens to be my cousin.
He’s one heck of a player…at least, he used to be one until he and Kacey started dating. Kacey is the jealous type so once they started dating, any girl who tries befriending or seducing Dylan ends up regretting it.

Recess was almost over but I still hadn’t sighted Dylan. I was about texting Kacey to check if she had any idea where he could be when I suddenly saw something that caught my attention.
“Is that who I think it is? ” I asked myself as I watched Dylan and Violet talk and laugh like long lost friends.
Is it weird that I’m really bothered me since I’ve never seen Violet talk with someone like that apart from Anna, her friend.
Apart from that, if Kacey finds out about this, Violet’s days are numbered.
“What to do? What to do? ” I thought as I watched them from afar.
Suddenly I got an idea . I only hope Violet doesn’t kill me for this.

Violet’s POV
“You seriously don’t mean that!? ” I exclaimed while laughing my heart out.
“Well sure. She was like ‘Alec I love you’ and he was like ‘I’ve never met you before in my life’. ”
“That’s so funny. ”
“I know right. Kacey and I nearly laughed our lungs when we watched it. ”
“You know Dylan, since we met, you’ve mentioning Kacey. Who’s she anyway? ”
“Well she’s my… ”
He was suddenly interrupted by a “Hi babe. ”
I looked to the side confused just as I felt someone’s arm drape across my shoulder.
“Kyle!? ” Dylan and I exclaimed at the same time.
“Baby, I’ve been looking for you since forever. I didn’t know you were here talking with my cousin. ”
“You’re cousins? ”
“Yes we are…. Uh I didn’t know you had a girlfriend Kyle. ”
“Actually, we’re not… ” I was about saying but Kyle cut in and said “Oh don’t be modest babe… We’ve been dating for a while now Dylan. It just hasn’t been made public. ”
“Okay? We’ll talk later Violet. ” He said walking away obviously in shock and surprise.
Once he left, I was able to get out of Kyle’s arm.
“What the heck was that all about? ”
“Believe it or not Violet, I just saved your life. ”
I scoffed and rolled my eyes.
“Oh really? You saved my life by lying to a cute guy that we were dating? What exactly would ever even make you say such a thing? Not only is the whole concept of dating you disgusting, it’s also an impossibility.
Even if you were the last person on earth, I would never date an arrogant, psychotic, jerky bastard like you. You’re a loser if you think I would ever
even date you. You……. ” I was suddenly cut off when I felt Kyle crash his lips against mine…..

Now back to the story, Kyle is kissing Violet again . Can someone guess her reaction because I think someone is about to be murdered
