It was in the evening that I was relieved and all the hurtful words I said to my mom flooded back in to me and I hated myself immediately.
I hate myself for being the one to draw tears from my mother, I can’t believe I said those words, she really tried for me and I knew it infact I’m lucky I have her.
If it were to be other mothers I’m very sure they would’ve abandoned me for a very long time, but she care for me despite my crazy act and behavior.
I know what she trying to tell me is true cause I’ve heard stories about something like that.
I know she’s trying to protect me If me staying here in the village is what will take for her to be happy then I’m happy to stay behind.
I walked back home and as I entered I noticed my mom is sleeping, I sneaked in not to wake her up but I was wrong.
your food dey for that corner” she said then I saw my food on the floor which make me hate myself more.
After eating the food I went to lay down and sleep.

I took my bath quickly and also defecate as well for me not to embarrass myself on our journey to Lagos.
Immediately I finished with that I got dressed sharp sharp and by the time I was through food is ready.
Mama served me and I didn’t waste time to devour the innocent yam and beans, after that I rested for a while for the food to digest.
Few minutes later we started going to granny’s house, then mama started a conversation.

I disengage from her and hugged granny as well and thank her for what she did for us, I disengage from her then entered the car, I wave at them as the car drove away.
I can’t believe I’m finally leaving this village, I looked through the window as the car keeps driving and I noticed some people keeps staring at me.
I know they must be surprised to see me in a car infact no a car it’s a jeep.
” I know all my village people go dey vex now nexus I dey go Lagos, Na God go punish all of them for me, na ogun go kill them for me…..stupid people” I thought.

As we keep passing one state to another they tell me which state we’ve reached, the road is very free and the car is moving very fast on the highway.
I keep admiring all the things I’ve been seeing along the road and some things that I haven’t seen before.
About an hour later we met with traffic as a lot of cars lined up after the other, and not some small small car, very big and beautiful ones then ours joined them.
haha, hold up plenty for this side ooo” I said looking around.
well, welcome to LAGOS” Mr Richards said.
Na Lagos be this? ” I asked surprised.

I keep looking around as the car move into the beautiful city of Lagos and I was just smiling like a rat that just ate a meat.
As we got to a place I see them pulling into a place that looks like they are selling water.

He drove past the filling station and I look at the place and it looks exactly as I saw it in my dream then all of a sudden we heard a very hard and heavy blast “KAAAABOOOOOOOOOM” from behind and Mr Richards stopped immediately.
We looked back and see that it’s the same filling station that exploded.
