Thank You Next – Prologue

“Oh goodness.” Nicole said as she was leaving the school premises.

She forgot to collect her notebook from Thelma, her friend who was inside preparing for an upcoming project which Nicole was meant to be a part of. But Nicole always skips things like that. She always said school never leads anyone anywhere.

She turned around and went in. She was walking briskly in the school hallway when Max called her from behind. Max was her ex boyfriend. She broke up with him the day before.

“Nicole, I’m really sorry what I did.” He pleaded.

“Max let me be.” She said and started walking away but max followed her.

“I know I messed up but can you please forgive me.” He said and she halted and turned to look at him. She had sky blue eyes with silver eye rings that could make a man melt once he looks at them.

“I know you messed up, Mabel is a better person for you. Now get lost!” She said rudely and walked away.

Max was not happy with what she said but all the same he still loved her and wished she forgave him.

Mabel was a student of Sky highschool and she had a thing for Max so she wanted Nicole out of the way.

Throwback

“Look, I really can’t follow you today.” Max said to Mabel.

“But why? I thought you have all the time in the world.”

“I know but plans changed.”

Then Mabel saw Nicole coming behind them and dragged Max to herself and kissed him.

Max pushed her away but Nicole had already turned around then.

“What was that for?” Max asked a little furious.

“Nothing but you know I like you right?” She said clinging to him.

He pushed her away.

“Well I don’t okay? You have to stay away from me.”

Then he walked away and left Mabel there fuming in anger.
