CAROL POV

 

My uncle wants to see us? I hope it’s not about this relationship issue between Alex and I, but still we have to go and see why he wants to see us, Nobody will ever take me away from Alex, no one!

 

Alex has being the best thing that ever happened to me, and I would rather die than lose him!

 

Alex: Your uncle wants to see us? When?

 

Carol: Tomorrow!

 

Alex: Do you think its about us?

 

Carol: Probably, I’m just worried.

 

Alex: Don’t worry, nothing will happen to us, I’ll always be by your side.

 

Carol: Thanks darling!

 

That’s why I love Alex, he’s so encouraging and never loses hope, I’ll try to defend him, come whatever that may happen, I’ll never lose him to anyone.

 

The next day which was Sunday, Alex and I took a taxi to my house, as we arrived I saw my uncle’s car, Alex quickly began his duties as my gateman, He and my uncle exchanged some pleasantries and seemed to be getting along.

 

I greeted my uncle as we entered the house, He was such an interesting fellow and a jovial one too, when I was little he would spoil me with gifts and money, Whatever I asked he always gave me without second thought, Whenever I was sad or bored, he would say some crazy jokes, but they always made me laugh, he was like my second father.

 

Alex waited outside as we entered the house, We both sat down and talked.

 

Gerald: My dear, Caroline, how’ve you been?

 

Carol: I’m fine uncle, how’s aunt and the kids?

 

Gerald: they’re all fine, and my God look at you! You’ve grown into a fine woman like your mother! Christen would have been proud if she was here. Carol: Thanks uncle!

 

Gerald: Ehn! The reason I came here was about your love life and the shooting stuff, your father was ranting about it, he looks pissed but I would love to see you try that again

 

Carol: Sorry uncle I didn’t mean it..

 

Gerald: No don’t bother, you’re a woman and you need to make your own decision, So who’s the lucky guy?

 

Carol: He’s the gateman, outside! The one you just greeted, his name is Alex. Gerald: Really? That’s the chap? Such a fine young fellow, he’s seems nice and he looks quite educated!

 

Carol: Yes, he’s a university graduate but he’s managing this job for now! Gerald: Really? And you father was saying the man looks dumb, my dear don’t listen to your father unreasonable talks, this man is okay! But are you sure he loves you?

 

Carol: Uncle, he does, I feel comfortable and free around him, he’s the best thing that happen to me.

 

Gerald: Hmm, you really like this man! Don’t worry about u your father, I’ll handle him, but are you sure its him you want?

 

Carol: Yes uncle, with all my heart.

 

Gerald: Okay then, so be it, wait.. I almost forgot, your aunt Nicole called, she wants to see you and you’re leaving for London tomorrow! Carol: Tomorrow but… I can’t leave Alex!

 

Gerald: Go don’t worry, he’ll be here waiting for you!

 

Carol: Uncle can you do me a favor?

 

Gerald: Yes, what is it?

 

Carol: Since, I’ll be gone and the house will be locked, Alex will be jobless, Can you offer him a job in one of your companies? Pls.

 

Gerald: Don’t worry, let him bring his credentials and lets see what I can do for him.

 

Carol: thanks uncle.

 

My uncle left and I saw him talking to Alex, soon Alex came into the house full of smiles, He came close to me and hugged me, raising me high in his arms. Carol: What’s the matter Alex?

 

Alex: Baby, it seems your uncle has taken an interest in me so our relationship is not a problem, yes?

 

Carol: Yes, you joker! But there’s something else.

 

Alex: What’s that?

 

Carol: I’ll be traveling to London tomorrow to see my aunt Nicole but don’t worry, I’ll be back soon and in the mean time, I got a job for you in my uncle’s Generator company so while I’m away you won’t be jobless.

 

When I told him that, his face changed, he wasn’t happy about my departure and so was I but aunt Nicole was like my mom, I need to go and see why she’s calling me, I comforted him, telling him all will be okay, He really wasn’t happy but He wished me a happy flight and thanked me for the job. The next morning, Alex and I drove to the airport

 

everything was ready and I waited for the time for me to enter the plane. Carol: Don’t worry Alex, pls don’t be sad!

 

Alex: I’m not sad, its just that I’m going to miss you!

 

Carol: Dont worry about that, I’ll be back before you know it, and by the way, the black range rover is yours, So no need to wait for taxi, to get home.

 

Alex: Thanks Carol, you’ve change my life,

 

Carol: You’ve also changed mine, babe.

 

We wanted to kiss but we were interrupted by Jessy, she had also came to see me off, she rushed and hugged me tightly!

 

 

Jessy: ooh geek, I’m going to miss you and I heard the news about your father and the company stuff, sorry!

 

Carol: Don’t worry, its okay! And also keep an eye on Alex for me and don’t think about even touching his hair..

The plane was soon going to take off, I hugged Jessy and Alex and entered the passengers route to enter the plane, After some minutes, the plane took off! (Alex P. O. V)

 

Two days after Carol went to London, I went to her uncles company with my credentials, I dressed properly and tried to look a bit more calm, I wasn’t nervous because of the interview but being interview by my girlfriends uncle was tense. I entered the place and I told the secretary that I was expected.

 

Alex: Good morning, pls I’m looking for Mr Gerald, I’m here for an interview.

 

Secretary: Yes, and what’s ur name?

 

Alex: Alex Wilson!

 

Secretary: Alex, Wilson, yes go right upstairs, he’s been expecting you.

 

Alex: Thanks.

 

I went up straight to his office, I knocked and was asked to come in, There he was looking at some papers, I went in and greeted him. Alex: Good morning sir!

 

Gerald: Good morning Alex, pls have a seat! How are you?

 

Alex: I’m fine sir, thank you!

 

Gerald: Good, let me see your papers!

 

I Gave him my credentials, he looked at each of them, nodding and smiling, after he was done, he handed me my credentials and a letter of appointment! Gerald: I like your credentials and it was quite impressive,.

 

Alex: Thank you sir,

 

Gerald: Yes, that is your appointment letter, you can start tomorrow, and with your qualification, you deserve a nice post, your salary is 300,000 per month and Congrats I hope you’ll do your job to the best of your abilities . Alex: Thank you sir, I promise i won’t let you down!

 

Gerald: And one more thing! You see my niece likes you so much,She’s like a daughter to me, I’ve never seen her more happy with anyone in her life like the way she is with you, So when she returns try to make her happy, She’s sacrificed her company and lots of things just to be with you, Her father keeps ranting about charms and love portion but all that is nonsense, What I see between you two is true love, I knew from the day we met we were going to get along so don’t take that

 

 

for granted and if you have any problem with her just talk to me, and Lastly don’t you ever try to make her sad or hurt het like the way her Ex did, cause if you do, I’ll make you suffer terribly, So are we clear? Alex: Yes sir

 

Gerald: Now, you can go, and once again Congratulations!
