Dave was a very romantic man.All this time I was smilling and cate noticed and tapped my shoulder “whatsapp gal?U smiling and am sure u ain’t following the movie,”it was her tap that brought me back to reality,the reality that I didn’t wonna face.I smilled at cate and ignored her question.There was a knock and I wasn’t ready for dramas.Cate went to open the door and Dave came bumping inside I ignored him and went to the bedroom I wasn’t ready to talk to him yet but he didn’t care he came following me to the bedroom he held my hand and I shouted at him telling him I don’t want anything to do with him.

Dave :ooh so now you don’t want anything to do with me .(he was shouting at me)Fine you saw me kissing Stacy and now you are judging me but are you condemning yourself for sleeping with Tonie you thought I wunt know.

Me:I ….i….

wanted to talk but words failed me

Dave:what happened to your dignity Sharon did you have to stoop so low.I made a mistake fine but wasn’t there any other way to make me pay for cheating on you other than sleeping with my best friend?(by this time he was crying painfully)

Me:Did you think twice when you were kissing Stacy?holding her as if u had just payed her bride price?did you?So what if I slept with Tonie …..aaaw don’t play

jealous with me.You broke your promise first and whatever happened with tonie shouldn’t be your problem you chose this Dave you broke my heart I started crying.

Dave:Sharon I loved you.But you have ruined it all I only kissed stacy and you went sleeping with Tonie and that only makes you one of the many girls he has slept with.You gave him an opportunity to brag about.I wish you saw how he bragged to me that he slept with you.

Me:stop this Dave stop it

I knew this and I didn’t need anyone to keep reminding me.Dave walked to the corner of my room and started boxing the wall cursing Tonie he looked at the small table in my bedroom and walked closer to it all this time I was crying in regrets he took a piece of paper that was kept on the table and read it.

Dave:whaaaaat Sharon?

He had seen my lab results I had carelessly kept it on the table I didn’t expect anyone but cate to enter the room.Now my secret was out I didnt know what to do or what to tell him I just stared at him drying my tears.His mood had changed drastically when he read the results he cooled down and walked towards me.

Dave:when were you planning to tell me you are pregnant?

Me:(I looked at him and the picture of him kissing Stacy came in my mind.I got angry and took the results from him and stood up)you are not the father.

I turned to see his face but instead I saw Tonie and cate.Tonie’s eyes wide open his hands on his mouth.

Cate:I have tried to stop hi….

Tonie :so if Dave iant the dad who is the father of your unborn child am…

He didn’t even finish his question Dave turned and gave him a hard slap and kicked him really hard that he fell breaking my dressing mirror.I didn’t have the strength to separate them.Cate came held me asking if I was fine.How would I be fine when Dave and Tonie knew I was pregnant?I had hoped I would keep the secret until I was sure enough of what I wanted,but now they knew and I had just told Dave he wasn’t the father and Tonie heard me obviously he knew he was the father.Cate held me and we just let the two men fight.They stood up after they had punched each other enough.

Tonie:Sharon you have to tell us now who the father of the child is Dave:You have the guts to ask her that question as if you own her

Tonie:Ooh so now you own her?did you think of that when you were kissing Stacy?

Dave:you think I didn’t know all this time you were waiting for me to break up with her to you to take advantage of it.

Dave :shut up Tonie what kind of a friend are you?Have you forgotten all the women you have had sex with you have never been faithfull yourself and you are here condemning me

Tonie got upset and wanted to slap Dave but cate held his hand and ordered them to get out

Tonie:Sharon if Dave ain’t the father who is the father?

Me:Tonie if you think you are the father am sorry ….you are not.

I said getting upset and told them to get out.They didn’t move Dave walked towards me and Tonie pushed him so hard that he came pushing me and the next thing I woke up in a hospital bed.
