Amy’s POV

 

I stopped on my track when I realized I was creating unnecessary scene.

 

My eyes roamed the room and they were all staring at me.

 

There was a woman sitting beside Pablo with wide eyes.

 

Why is she staring like that?

 

I looked behind me but there was no one.

 

So I stared back. Then realization dawned on me. She had Pablo’s brown eyes and her nose was just like his. And the smile dancing on her lips are the same as Pablo’s.

 

She is Pablo’s mum. The have a striking resemblance.

 

I decided to return her smile but then, I remembered that she’s not what she seems to be. She hated my friend.

 

So instead of a smile, I glared at her.

 

I glared harder when she didn’t stop smiling at me.

 

No. what I’m I doing? I should rather smile with her so that I can be in her good books. Or we can become friends. In that way, I will be able to know what she really thinks of Anna.

 

So I smiled back quickly and glanced at Paula.

 

The sight of Anna looking at me so happily with arms stretched apart wellcomly got me more guilty.

 

I trailed my feet on the floor sluggishly as I walked closer to her bed.

 

Then suddenly, I felt someone hug me from the back in a bone crashing manner.

 

I got tensed. She smelt like lilac and strawberry.

 

 

“Oh my God. Amy Rockxon.” She breathed excitedly.

 

“Mum you’re hurting her.” Pablo said and rolled his eyes.

 

Thank God.

 

“Oh yeah yeah. I’m sorry” she replied and let go.

 

Pardon my manners my dear. Is not everyday you get to see your favorite artist around and so close like this.” she said dramatically.

 

I forced a smile.

 

“Wait. Why are you here?” She asked and looked between Pablo and I.

 

“Oh my..you came to see Pablo? Pablo you never told me she’s your friend. She will make a good daughter in-law…..”

 

“Mum!!!”

 

“What?!” She shouted back.

 

“Tell me, Amy. Is he your friend?” She asked me hopefully.

 

I smirked and walked towards Pablo then I looked back at her. She gave me a thumbs up. I winked and walked past Pablo to Anna’s side.

 

I swear the look on her face was priceless. I wished I had my phone now I would’ve captured the moment.

 

Pablo chuckled slightly.

 

I was about to hug Anna when I realized what I did.

 

I glanced at Pablo again and he smiled at me giving me the go ahead.

 

With a grateful smile, I hugged her.

 

Only God knows how much I missed her. Ever since we were kid, we never spent time away from each other as compared to this recent one. She’s more than a friend, she’s the sister I never had. Yes a sister.

 

” Ouch! Are you sleeping on me?”

 

I pulled away quickly, “Gosh, did I hurt you? Are you okay? I’m so so sorry…”

 

“Come on, chill out. I’m perfectly fine Besides do I look that sick?”. She asked sweetly.

 

“Are you sure?” I asked still worried.

 

“Stop being too worried. Is just some few injuries that all.” She said and shifted on the bed and patted a space for me to sit.

 

I sat and hold her hands.

 

“You know, I wouldn’t have been able to forgive myself if something were to happen to you. I won’t be able to live with the idea that you were coming over to my place when it happened…” I blinked back tears.

 

“But nothing happened right? Now, stop being a cry baby” she said and wiped the tears.

 

“The worst part is when I….”

 

“It’s okay, Amy. You don’t have to explain anything. It has already happen. Let’s forget about it and move on. Right Paula?” Cut in between.

 

“Absolutely” she agreed

 

Someone cleared a throat.

 

“Aunt?” Paula and I exclaimed together.

 

I went to her and hugged her as Paula tried to straighten up a bit.

 

“How are you my dear?”

 

“I’m fine Aunt Leona. You?”

 

“Am also fine dear.”

 

“How are you doing Paula?” She asked and went to her.

 

She nodded happily.

 

“When did you arrive?”

 

“I came a week after your accident.”

 

“A week after? How?” She asked in puzzlement.

 

“Yes my dear. You’ve been out for two weeks now”. Aunt explained.

 

“Really?”

 

“Yes. But I’m glad you’re okay now.”

 

Then my mom entered as well.

 

“Paula my dear, I’m glad you’re awake. We were so scared”. She said and hugged Paula patting her back slightly.

 

“Mum. It feels good to see you again. I’m glad” she said and hugged mum again.

 

I looked around and everyone was looking at them except Pablo’s mum who seem to be bored.

 

Then, Xander entered with a flower in hand. He gave the flower to Paula and she took it reluctantly. He sat at where I once sat and stared at Paula.

 

 

“I’m sorry Paula. I’m sorry for putting you through all this pain. I don’t think I deserve your forgiveness….”

 

“You did nothing wrong to be forgiven for. It’s an accident. And accident can happen to anyone..I bore no grudge against you. Just forget that it ever happened okay?”.

 

“Thanks” he added.

 

I casted a glance at Pablo and his gaze was boring dangerously at the side of Xander’s head as his knuckles turned white.

 

Such a jealous lover.

 

As if on queue, Jude also entered with a flower in hand.

 

What is he doing here?

 

He avoided my gaze and went to kiss Paula slightly on the cheek.

 

“Wish you a speedy recovery sugarplum”

 

Paula’s eyes were equally large as mine.

 

Surprisingly, Pablo didn’t react.

 

He was just fine.

 

Is it because their friends or Paula didn’t tell him anything about what he did. But why will Paula hide such a thing from him?

 

I balled my fist in anger and glared at him when he winked at me.

 

Pablo who is obviously not aware of his pervert actions chuckled at my reaction.

 

I looked around, so much people in here. I can’t do anything now.

 

I felt my mom’s gaze on me and quickly relaxed my fist.

 

She already knows about Jude and I.

 

I need to go out for some fresh air. I can’t stand the sight of him in front of me.

 

With one glance towards Anna, I walked out.

 

I stopped on the corridor when I noticed some nurses and some random people smiling widely at me. Some were even following me.

 

How am I going to get some fresh air when I’m not in disguise?

 

I looked left, then right and quickly branched into a hallway when they were not looking.

 

I walked on the lonely hallway hoping to find an outlet.

 

I walked further, checking for an entrance. Then I spotted a tiny sun ray ahead of me.

 

I smiled and started running towards it.

 

Then suddenly I felt a force pulling me back then I was dragged into a corner.

 

I tried shouting for help but my mouth got covered by a manly palm.

 

I sniffed and smelt his perfume.

 

Those perfumes… So refreshing and intoxicating.
