At midnight, Thelda who was awake all through looked closely at her husband and was satisfied he was in a deep sleep. She quietly but quickly slid out of the blanket, then

stepping over Williams, she skipped out of the bed. She found her slippers and surreptitiously left the room. Alone in the sitting room

downstairs, she took out her phone and called the senator. When he picked, she said hastily,

“My husband has found out. He’s insisting we go for a test.”

The senator who was still sleepy jumped out of the bed, “How did he find out?” Thelda whispered, breathing heavily, “I don’t know but I think his curiosity made him notice the resemblance.”

The senator thought a

moment, “What do you suggest we do?” His voice was shaky. Thelda said immediately, “I think his remaining alive is risky.”

The senator remembered how he had made Williams president and how he only paid him by double-crossing him, he thought of the

implication if Williams found out about his affair with his wife and he imagined the dent

the scandal would have on his reputation. After what seemed like an eternity he said,

“Can you find someone to handle him permanently?” Thelda thought for a minute and said, “I think I can.”

The senator smiled, “Then do it,” he paused, “Preferably on the anniversary day.” And he hung up.

Thelda sneaked back to the room and slept off. The following day, she caught

Anabel instructing Reagan on the phone to kill a presidential aide and through her

she eventually got involved with Reagan who took Williams out during the

anniversary without

traces.
