‘Where is she?’ I asked my brother who was busy pacing up and down in the corridor

‘Oh please, she is already whoring around with Sean!’ he spat ‘Sean your best friend?’ I asked my eyes wide open

‘Why do I get the feeling that you are not at all affected at the fact that your woman is inside messing up?’

‘And why do I get the feeling that this is affecting you more than it should?’ He kept quiet for a moment, probably calculating his next words.

My brother was a bit taller than me and at times his height intimidated me but this time I moved closer, just so my face was closer to his when I tilted my head up. ‘Listen man, I know we haven’t been the best of brothers and maybe friends but trust me even if I didn’t have a thing with Yoyo I don’t think she would want anything with you.’ I said sternly

‘Why do I get the feeling that you are scared she might actually fall for me?’

‘No dude, I am not scared of that. What I am scared of is that you might fall for her with the kind of woman you have I wouldn’t be shocked if you looked for comfort elsewhere.’ I said moving away

‘What is that supposed to mean?’ he asked

‘Ask your dear fiancée.’ I said as I headed to my room.

I got in without knocking ad found Yoyo just wiping her body.

‘You can’t knock?’ she asked as she looked at me without any emotion whatsoever ‘I used to help you with the lotion.’ I said with a smirk on my face ‘Yah, used to.’ She responded without even blinking

‘Yoyo what happened to you, in just a blink of an eye you have turned stone cold.’ I said worriedly

‘I always had this side of me, I did. But because I was head over heels in love with you I just couldn’t show it.’ She responded again

I moved closer to where she was, I knew exactly what to do to make her giggle. I touched her waist lightly and for a minute I thought she was going to respond with the same passion.

‘Cornell stop it!’ she said almost yelling

‘What do you think you are doing?’ she asked again ‘But Yolanta I still want us.’ I said

‘Cornell you cannot always have what you want, life doesn’t work like that.’

‘I am sorry Yolanta, what do you want me to say exactly to make you believe that I am sorry?’ I asked as I sat on the bed

‘Nothing, how many chances did I give you huh? And you managed to treat me like trash. Cornell I was the good girlfriend, I never demanded for money or material things. God knows I fell for you way passed everything you possess, you lied to me a thousand times. Cheated on me a million times.’ She screamed ‘I am sorry Yoyo.’

‘I don’t need to forgive you Cornell, you don’t forgive someone’s character, you forgive their wrongs.’ She said before turning to the mirror again.

‘By the way I am only here because of your parents and this façade you are putting up; after this forget about me and my sister.’ She said

The last thing I could do to anyone is eaves drop on them, that wasn’t like me. I had only followed my brother because I wanted to clarify what he said about my fiancée. I walked to his room and his door was slightly open, I debated between going in and going back. Just then I saw the minion walk up to the mirror, she was

in a short white bath towel exposing her perfect chocolate legs. She made the towel look good, I almost turned back but then my brother walked up to her and held her waist. I felt a slight uneasiness and the urge to also see how she would respond but surprisingly she didn’t flinch, she didn’t even make a movement. But after hearing everything they talked about I was feeling really guilty and I knew that I had to find a way of making it up to her, she was a victim of my brother’s infidelity but here she was keeping her word.

‘What are you doing there?’ I heard a sharp voice ask I quickly dropped my phone and started picking up the pieces

‘I was just picking up my phone.’ I said as I knelt down ‘Really?’ she asked eying me

The couple must have heard the noise so they came out of the room ‘What are you doing here?’ the minion asked

I swallowed hard as I took a glance at her legs ‘Nigga got tongue tied.’ The girl said again ‘Wane!’ the minion screamed

‘What? Put some clothes on.’ The girl responded I couldn’t help but laugh ‘What’s funny?’ Esther asked

‘Where did you come from?’ I asked her

‘I should be asking you why you are at their door and staring at her legs!’ she screamed

‘You can’t blame him, the girl has fine legs.’ Kendra said

The environment was becoming really uncomfortable for me, I stood up to leave. ‘Stay away from my woman!’ I heard Cornell say ‘Yeah right, your woman.’ I said before walking off.

Dinner went just fine, I was feeling at easy because I had made it clear to Cornell that I wasn’t here to play lovey dovey with him but to put up a face. The Kazadis were a great couple and I admired how much they tried to bring their kids together, kind of reminded me of home.

After dinner we all sat by the fire place drinking hot chocolate except Mr Kazadi who was taking green tea.

‘How about we get to know each other.’ He said as he switched off the television ‘Let us start with the ladies.’ He continued ‘I will go first.’ Mrs Kazadi said.

‘My full names are Nisha Kazadi, a mother, wife, friend and companion. I love supporting young talent and I love my kids to the core and anything that makes them happy, makes me happy too.

Kendra and Wane took turns in introducing themselves.

‘Babe it’s your turn.’ Cornelius said kissing Esther on the forehead
