*At the Peters*

“Oh my God! I still can’t believe Jessica’s dad was so horrible,I mean, I’ve always described and thought of him as the best dad ever but he proved me wrong!” I said to my brother who was seated with his girlfriend.

“What if that was what dad did to mom that made her leave him? ”

“I don’t know but I’ve heard them talking once and she was almost crying. Mom’s not telling us something but I’m so curious. I want to know about dad! Why did he leave! Why he’s not bothered and….!” Calm down Steph.

“You’ve cried enough, we’re definitely going to find out. I know for one that the

man’s name is Damien so we’re going to have to force the truth from her mouth if

she doesn’t want to tell us”

Ben said.

“And how exactly do you guys plan on doing that,huh!” Stacy asked.

“We watch movies baby!” Ben replied smirking.

We’re going to send a message to Mr Damien asking him to meet mom at the downtown brown coffee shop. For sure we’ll overhear something,they might discuss something of importance you know? “Yeah,that could work. Let’s get to it then”.

We went upstairs and knocked on mom’s room but she wasn’t responding so I went in but heard the shower. She was taking a bathe! Perfect shot!

I signaled them to come in,we searched for her phone and found it but it was locked. Oh God!

We all cracked our brain trying a suiting pin but it wasn’t correct.

We were already getting frustrated and it seemed mom was almost done bathing as the water noise became faint.

“Wait! I think I know it! Here,give me the phone” Stacy said.

She typed in something and the phone unlocked.

While Ben was busy asking her how she knew I had already sent the message to the Damien, Ben took his number from Mom’s phone too. “Are you done?” Ben asked

I nodded and while we were about leaving Stacy asked if I deleted the message.

Sharp thinking.

Ben called Mom using another line posing as Damien. He managed to convince mom into meeting him and further added” please bring your son along as well”. Of course mom refused blatantly and then they both agreed to meeting. We gave each other a high five for a job well done.

“I want to come along” I pleaded with Ben but he refused saying, Stacy and I will be fine so please stay here in case anything comes up alright?” I agreed to it.

Mom got down dressed and told us she was going to visit Mrs Nuel first and head to work. We all bid her goodbye.

“She’s heading to the hospital and then to meet Damien so be ready. Once she leaves,get to the coffee shop before her. We can’t miss a minute!” I said authoritatively and they both agreed. They left in Ben’s car few minutes after mom drove out.
