Episode 19

 

*Stephanie’s POV*

 

I pinched myself to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating. It was really Jeff,my love. He still looked as handsome as ever,curled dirty blonde hair, straight nose and his pink succulent lips. I didn’t realize a tear drop. He was smiling as pictures of him were being taken. Just then Annabel walked up to us with a drink. “Hey girls,and this is for you Steph your favorite while…”

 

“Why didn’t you tell us Jeffrey Jackson was your cousin brother” Jes asked “Why? It’s not like it was important or anything. We just didn’t get along and so that was it” Annabel said.

 

“He was my boyfriend! Well not until he went out of sight! No one heard from him and no one knew where he was even his friends. And now he’s returned,he didn’t even tell me or anything like that” I replied almost crying. “Hey, calm down Steph” Jes said soothingly.

 

 

“I’m really sorry Steph! I had no idea about that but I’ll make it up to you now. He’s

 

in room 12 so go meet him there, he’ll surely come there to meet you, I’ll make

 

sure of it”. Anna said

 

“Really?” I asked excitedly.

 

“Now go get your man babe!” Annabel said

 

“Here! Take this” Jes said taking out a condom from her purse.

 

“What’s this Jessica!” I asked astonished

 

“Just take it! I’m sure it’ll come in handy now go” Jes shouted. “The bed’s very soft,I know you’ll like it” Annabel added. What crazy girls!

 

I got into the room and sat on the bed waiting for him. Just then the door opened and I got up but noticed it was Eston,Annabel’s cousin. He came up to use the bathroom. What a waste of standing! I hissed

 

A knock came and my heart skipped,it was definitely going to be Jeffrey. It had to be, Annabel said she’d make sure of it so I stood up and went to open the door ,yes it was him.

 

“Hi Steph” Jeff said walking past me.

 

I closed the door and turned to face him,Hey Jeffrey” I said feeling nervous. “Well you haven’t given me my hug yet” he said I was walking up to him but my legs were shaky.

 

Oh don’t do this to me Red bottoms! I said in my heart. I couldn’t even walk straight anymore,I knew I was going to fall.

 

Jeffrey caught me on time,my prince charming. He helped me back to my feet and hugged me tightly,I hugged him tightly and this time he didn’t want to let go cause he hugged back tighter.

 

“Did you miss me Steph?” He asked

 

Why would you even ask me that,I missed you so much. I cried myself to sleep

 

sometimes thinking of you and now you are right here with me, I said in my mind.

 

“Of course I missed you” I answered

 

“I missed you more babe” he said

 

“Why didn’t you tell me you were sick. You left without saying a thing for 2 good years and I still held on to my hope of seeing you again because I cared, I cared a lot Jeffrey!”

 

“I know and that is why I’m back. I didn’t want you getting worried about my health and I thought I’d be fine in no time but things didn’t work out like that and I’m really sorry”

 

He stared passionately at me and then he came closer and his lips met mine.

 

I caressed his hair as he kissed me,a signal to continue.

 

We kissed for a while with all that caressing and stuff then I withdrew and took out

 

the condom Jes had given me.

 

“What’s this?” Jeff asked

 

“You should know what this is Jeff, I’m ready to do it”

 

“No no no. You’re not Steph,you think you’re going to lose me if we don’t have sex but that’s not happening again. You changed me for the better Steph and I want to be the best person for you”

 

He hugged me and then while we were both lying down with his arms around me he asked.

 

“Where did you even get that stuff from?

 

“Oh well. Jessica gave it to me”

 

“Oh that girl,so she does that too now”

 

“Yeah yeah but it’s her choice anyways”

 

We laid there for a while talking about some things that had happened to us while we were apart.

 

After some time he got up to leave,”why do you have to leave now?” I asked babyishly

 

“C’mon babe! This is my party,I need to be there”

 

“Fine you can go after I fix your hair” I said

 

“Of course you have to fix it, you ruined it” he replied smiling

 

While fixing his hair,he grabbed my waist and planted another kiss on

 

my lips.

A voice shouted, he was needed downstairs so we had to let go.

 

“Go now Jeff, they’re looking for you”

 

“Give me a hug first”

 

We hugged and then while at the door he begged for a kiss yet.

 

“Go now Jeff!’ I shouted

 

I could hear him echo,”fine ma”.

We got home later and of course I gisted Jes about it but I couldn’t tell Annabel cause she stayed over at the hotel with them. I got home and met mom

 

“Hey Mom!” I said hugging her

 

“Wow! Someone looks happy”

 

“Yes mom! I met Jeffrey,my Own Jeffrey at Annabel’s party. Turns out he was the celebrant and I’ve also reconciled with Jes”

 

“I’m glad you did, don’t let anything get in the way of your friendship again. You

 

both are like sisters and don’t let anything most especially a guy try to ruin that.

 

This Jeffrey too,I know you love him but don’t condescend so low to sleep with

 

him just to prove love. If he’s the right one he’ll definitely wait for the right time.

 

“Thanks a lot mom, you’re the best!” I hugged her and then went up to change.

 

Annabel called later that night

 

“Hey Steph”

 

“What’s up girl”

 

“I’m good,so tell me how did it go?”

 

“How did what go” I asked

 

“C’mon! The hang with my brother of course. Did you do it?”

 

“Ok! I am not having this conversation with you.

 

Can you believe Annabel called me just to know if we did something crazy like what the. I laughed so hard and finally told her “Well we kissed”

 

“And?”

 

“We cuddled”

 

“That’s all? I know my brother Steph he can do more than that.

 

“But he didn’t want to. He’s changed for the better”

 

“Well that’s cute. I just called to hear the gist. Of course I didn’t want to be left out!”

 

“Yeah you didn’t”

 

“Goodnight Steph”

 

“Sleep well”.

We we’re done having breakfast and mom had left for work since it was a Saturday though. She had important things to do at work so she left.

 

I heard the intercom system so I went to go check. Oh poor Williams! “Hey babe”.

 

“Hey Williams, how’re you doing?”

 

“I should be the one asking that you know? You haven’t been picking my calls and you don’t reply my texts. Are you angry? Did I wrong you?”

 

“No no. You didn’t. Well it’s me,I don’t think I’m good enough for you. I love someone else and I don’t want to hurt your feelings but I’ve always loved him”.

 

“So you were playing me?” He asked in a melancholic voice

 

“No! I wasn’t but the thing here is… I never liked you at first but my mom convinced me to get on something with you. You’re a really nice person Williams and I do care about you”

 

“It’s okay Steph. Your mom called yesterday explaining the whole issue to us. I didn’t believe and wanted to hear directly from you” a tear dropped from his eye “Williams I’m sorry, please don’t cry” I said in tears

 

“No , please wipe your tears Vera. You know I hate it when you cry. It’s fine, I loved you and still will so I want you to be happy okay?” He feigned a smile and hugged me. I cried a lot but he consoled me,” bye Steph. That was my first real break up and it hurt. A lot!

 

I was laying on the couch thinking when a call came in. “Hey babe! How’re you doing today? It’s Jeffrey “Oh! I’m good honey and you?

 

“I really miss you a lot and want to be around you. I want to make up for the lost moments”

 

“I miss you too”

 

“I’d like to come over and see you tomorrow”

 

“Well that’ll be a good idea, my mom will be around tomorrow”

 

“Fine then, tomorrow it is”

 

“What does she like best?”

 

“Get her cookies from McDonald’s, she loves them fat cookies a lot”

 

“Alright honey”

 

“And me?”

 

“Yours will be a surprise babe”

 

“Fine honey,bye”

 

Wow! That was the longest call I’d had with Jeff. Talking to him made me feel better.

 

Mom came back home and I told her Williams visited.

 

“What did he say then?”

 

“I broke up with him and he understood me,but he cried mom and it hurt seeing him like that’

 

“You did care for me and that’s why it hurts but he’s a man. He can take care of

 

himself and you did the best thing”

 

“What about Mrs Sasha mom?”

 

“I spoke to her about it too and don’t worry we’re still friends though she hopes you have a change of heart”

 

I smiled.

 

“Well….uhmm mom. Jeff and I

 

spoke today and he’d like to come over tomorrow to see you”

 

“Oh! Well that’s nice, I’ll be around so it’s no problem. I’ll prepare something for him”

 

“Aw! Thanks a lot mom”

 

“You’re welcome my princess”

*Susan’s POV*

 

It was late in the morning and I was already done with the food so I was dressing up to go downstairs. We had a guest…my daughter’s boyfriend.

 

I wondered to myself

 

Was I really doing the right thing?

 

Should I have allowed Steph go on dating Williams? I mean he was established and was going to take care of her. Their relationship could lead to marriage. Letting her date that young boy,was it really right?

 

They both are teens and their relationship could hit a hurdle.

 

Yes he was from a rich family but was he capable of taking care of her and walking her down the aisle?

 

Wait! Why am I even thinking of all these?

 

Steph is just 17 so why am I thinking of her marriage?

 

I need to calm down, I want her to be happy. She hasn’t even gone to college yet, there’s much more to her life awaiting her.

 

I finished up dressing and walked down to meet them.

 

“Good day ma’am”

 

He greeted. His face looked familiar but I couldn’t remember where I’d met him. We talked for a while and he gave me the cookies he got,”oh thanks dear you are

such a gentle young man”

 

Y’all join me at the dining room.

 

As we were eating I asked him some questions, Steph too and Both their answers were nice

 

I heard you had a kidney transplant?”

 

Yes ma’am but I’m all good now’

 

“That’s good! So what are your plans for the future?” I asked him

 

 

“Well I’m studying industrial chemistry, I’m going to be the next CEO to my dad’s company. He owns a petrochemical industry here in New York and some in Texas too”

 

“Wait! That hit hard! He had a kidney transplant? His dad owns a petrochemical

 

industry where he’ll be heading soon?

 

That sounds familiar, Victor!”

 

“Were you at a wedding some days back with your parents?”

 

“Yes ma’am” he answered

 

That proved my doubts right

 

“Get out of my house young man! Leave here immediately !

 

“Mom! What’s wrong!?

 

Shut up Steph

 

Get out of my house and never come back Jeff.

 

“Here babe have your gift. I think I should go now try calming mom down,Jeff left.

 

I went up to my room in tears.

 

I opened the drawer and took out 2 documents,it was the paternity results of Steph and Ben.

 

It proved Steph was the biological daughter to Victor but Ben wasn’t.

 

What will I do now my secret is about to be exposed.

 

I buried my head in my face and cried.

 

This meant Stephanie and Jeffrey are half Siblings.
