Peter knew that he had nothing to do with Fostinah but the way she looked made him pity. The fact that she was the biological mother to his kids made him feel so sorry for her.
“It’s so unfortunate that the world has turned against her now” Peter said as he went home.

Fostinah was so low and embarrassed looking at how she was sent away by her ex best friend Tamarah. She understood the treatment seeing how she had earlier treated her.
As her vehicle was faulty and she had no money to have it repaired, she walked to visit Peter.
She slowly walked away from the gate as tears rolled down her cheeks. She stopped, looked at the gate, shook her head and turned walking away slowly. As she walked away slowly, Fostinah remembered the days when she newly in love with Peter. How he took her out to beautiful places on dates and how he surprised her with gifts. She then remembered the joy they shared when they welcomed their firstborn daughter into the family. It was all smiles on the beautiful day.
She went on and remembered the day she played with her kids and Peter. She remembered how Peter cheated so that her son could be win the game.
These beautiful memories brought more tears in her eyes remembering how sweet her stay with Peter were regardless of his imperfections.
“I was so stupid and arrogant. I shouldn’t have been such kind of person” she
thought to herself as she walked.
“Beep! Beep! Beep”
The horns of the cars produced the sound alerting Fostinah. She was on the middle of the road without noticing it as she was deep in thoughts. The sounds from the cars made her realise where she was at that moment.
“Are you mad? Can’t you want where you are going?!” Shouted the driver who almost knocked.
“Sorry” she said picking up her handbag from the road after it fell due to the fear she had after realising where she was at that moment. “Get out!” Shouted the driver.
Fostinah went and stood by the road so embarrassed and hurt. She then got into a minibus to so that she could get home quickly.
Whilst in the minibus, she went deep in her own thoughts that she didn’t even notice that she had reached her bus stop.
“Mummy, simuseluka?” Shouted the bus conductor. (Mummy, are you not dropping here?)
“Oh sorry” Fostinah said dropping down from the bus.
She then walked slowly heading to her home.
“For my safety I have stop thinking about everything and get home first” she said to herself.

On the next day, Peter went to visit his grandparents. He found grandfather, as usual, sitted under the shade of the tree.
“Grandfather, you can’t believe what just happened yesterday.” Peter said after
chatting for a while with him.
“What happened?”
“Fostinah came to my home”
“To do what?!”
“Asking for help. She is so finished that i pitied her”
“You mean to say you helped her?”
“I didn’t help her but I just felt sorry for her.
“Oh okay. But you have to be very careful with her”
“Of course grandpa.”
“When you get divorced and you remarry, you should not entertain your ex partner. It will only bring problems in your current marriage. You saw how Prudence helped you, do you want to hurt her?”
“No, I don’t want to hurt her. Did i say i have anything to do with Fostinah?” “You will hurt her if you do anything that will connect you to her. Stay away from Fostinah. Protect yourself from her just like you would to Corona virus.” “Mmmmm grandpa, corona virus?”
“Yes, isolate yourself from her. Quarantine your eyes so that you don’t see anything on her which will draw close to her. Sanitize your heart so that only Prudence should be your only love. Observe distancing from Fostinah and most importantly, put a mask your marriage from her troubles.” Grandfather said. “Though funny but I will do just that grandfather.” “Yes, don’t tolerate her”

TWO WEEKS LATER
Fostinah was sitted in the living room of her home thinking of how he would raise her rent. She looked at the bank balance and there was less than a two thousand. “Maybe I should order some vegetables and start selling” she thought to herself. As she was in those thoughts, her phone rung. It was a new number but it looked so familiar.
“Hello” she answered.
“Fostinah, its me Peter”
“Oh okay, how are you?” She said with a lot of respect and curiosity.
“Am fine and you?”
“Am fine”
“I talked to a friend of mine who owns a private hospital concerning you. So he said you should go there tomorrow at 8am with your credentials so that you can discuss logistics of when you could start working if you will like the conditions.” He said.
“Iyeee. Thank you so much Peter. Am really grateful”
“You are welcome. Don’t just let me down. Do your best. It took a great deal of my effort to convince him”
“I wont. Thank you Peter.”
“I will text you the address and name of the hospital.”
“Okay”
Fostinah couldn’t believe that finally she would have her own job. What really was unbelievable was the fact that the man she treated badly, dumped the kids to was the one who helped her have the job.
“He is a good man. If only I knew before this” Fostinah said with happiness and regret mixed in her.

TWO MONTHS LATER
Fostinah worked so hard at the private hospital she was working at. She was even given some prevaleges due to her experience and hardwork.
She also never interfered in the marriage of Peter and Prudence though she really wanted to be part of her children. The children didn’t want to see her. Peter advised her that time will come when they will want to see her, so she should be patient. Fostinah was a transformed person and a she even reconnected witb her lost friends, Chabota and Debby.
The pregnancy was then evident as it had gone in months. Josne was never communicated to deal the efforts she made. She just got to accept the child and that he would come when time comes.
On an afternoon on a weekend, Chabota and Debby went to visit Fostinah. They wanted to check on her as she was usually home alone.
The ladies sat outside under the shade sipping some juice as they went on chatting. “Fostinah, no offense but we just want to learn from you. You are an experienced person now. Would you advise someone to go for divorce?” Asked Debby. Fostinah kept quiet before answering the question as she didn’t expect it.
“Ladies, I now understand why parents are always against divorce. It’s the most nasty thing which a married person can ever experience. It’s not good at all. I now see why my uncle’s were against it” fostinah said. “Elaborate further” Chabota added.
“Okay. See, I had a husband who had his own imperfections. I was so arrogant and now see where it has landed me. Pregnant without a man.” “Sorry”

“Listen to me, divorce isn’t the best option. Before you decide it, first go on separation so that you have ample time to reflect on your life. Love your husbands. Cherish them with their imperfections. Being single after being married isn’t a good thing at all.”
“Yeah for real” debby said.
“Look at me, I am so thirsty” fostinah said.
“Should I bring water?” Asked Chabota.
“Not that thirsty. I mean it has been ages no dodix” fostinah said.
All the three ladies broke out into laughter after hearing that.
