As they were talking, Tamarah’s phone rang. She checked and found that it was the director from Peter’s children’s school.

“Hello, how have you been?”
“Am good how are you?”
“Soso, are you were we can talk freely?”
“Aaaah not really. I will call you back”
“Okay, i will be expecting your call.”
“Sure”
She then hang up the phone. Peter started at her with that inquisitive look.
“Mmmmmm what?” She asked him.
“Were you talking to a man?”
“Any problem with that?”
“No, am just concerned about who the person could be.”
“Its obviously someone you know”
“Someone I know?”.
“Mmmmm okay. I just pray it’s none of my friends because I wouldn’t love you to
date any of my friends”
“He is not your friend”
“Okay then that’s better. Can I be told who the luck monkey is?”
“Behave. Its the director”
“Which director?”
“At your kids’ school”
“Oh I see. He seems to be a good guy. Hope all goes well. You need to settle down.”
“Yeah thank you. Am just worried that am about to get into a relationship and your marriage is almost wrecking up. I want us to go out together as couples.” “No marriage is breaking up. She will calm down.”
“Hope she does”
“Let’s pass by the shopping mall I get some beers. It will quench me for a while.
My head has to be cleared.” He said.
They drove to a shopping mall and packed in the parking lot. They then walked to the entrance of the mall. They went into a supermarket and went to the alcohol section.
“I think four bottles will do for me tonight” he said.
“And what do I get?” Tamarah asked.
“You asking me as if I will be the one to pay”
“So you mean you won’t buy anything for me?”
“You want Fostinah to come and beat me saying i was shopping for you? Call your director.”
“You are so useless. Actually I have gone back to the vehicle.”
“As if she can go. Who doesn’t know you? Get your favourite thing.”
“Yes, you are talking cousin now.”
As they were moving to the section where Tamarah wanted to get something, they
saw someones in front of them getting some stuff who looked familiar. It was the
director who had called Tamarah earlier.
“Oh hello” the director said to them.
“Hi” Tamarah said back.
“How are you sir?” The director shook hands with Peter.
“Am good how are you are?” He answered.
They exchanged greetings with Tamarah as well.
“I don’t need to do any introductions since you already know each other” she said. “Yeah, though actually I just know you as director, what’s your name?” Peter asked.
“John, John Sichalwe” tue director said.
“Oh okay, it’s been my pleasure meeting you Mr Sichalwe.” Peter said.
“The honour is all mine” John, th director said.
“I guess you need to talk, let me excuse myself. Cousy you will find me” Peter said as he started walking before they could say anything.
“Ah, i didn’t expect you here. I mean I thought you were home” John said. “Actually we are going to grandmother’s place.”
“Okay, we will talk on phone. Don’t make me wait for nothing”
“I will surely call”
Tamarah and John then parted ways. They are what they wanted and went to the till where they paid and left the supermarket. They got into the vehicle and left the mall.
“Why did you leave us alone their?” She asked.
“I saw how he was flaming with eager to speak to you. I had to create n opportunity for you two”
“Mmmmmm okay. That’s good anyway”
They finally got home and found grandfather waiting for them in the living room. “Put your things and come back here. I want the two of you here.” Grandfather said.
“Grandpa, we already have had a good session of admonitioning. Please let me rest and think through what has been happening.” Peter said. “Sit down right now” grandpa ordered them.
They sat down still holding their plastic bags from the shopping mall.
“I know you have had a hell of a day today but all I want to tell you is learn from what has happened. You can now go” grandfather said.
“That’s all?” Peter asked.
“What do you want me to say?”
“Is that why you made us so down?”
“You wanted a presidential address talk? You should learn from this” “Okay we have heard.” Peter said still failing to believe that that was all grandfather wanted to say knowing he was a chit-chat machine.

Very early in the morning of the next day, Tamarah left for her home. She had some other issues to sort out at her place.

Fostinah spend the next day home as it was her off day. She was home doing some cleaning.
In the afternoon her friend, Chabota came to visit her. She had even brought some relish which Fostinah enjoyed, Lumanda.
“Yeah, I heard what happened yesterday. It’s so sad” Chabota said.
“It happens girlfriend” fostinah said.
“So what are you planning to do now?”
“Divorce. I am getting a divorce”
“Has it come to that?”.
“Yes.”
“Have you thought through the repurcassions of divorce?”
“Absolutely”
“Girlfriend, divorce is not a solution on this issue. You need to consider ways of curbing your husband. If you divorce, you will be okay but your children will suffer. If you really want the best for your children, don’t think of divorce”
“The children will get used to the new lifestyle”
“Fostinah are deliberating choosing not understand what am saying? There are a lot
of divorced women out there who are living in regrets. You might see men wooing
you now but they won’t marry you”
“I didn’t say I want to remarry”
“My dear, you are used with marriage life. You enjoy the marathons daily or frequently. When he goes where will you get the satisfaction?”
“I have never gone to a funeral of a person who died due to lack of sex. Have you ever heard of that funeral yourself?” Asked Fostinah.
