I prayed continually in my heart that Leon doesn’t cause any trouble.
“I….I wanted to help mom” i said and he walk down to me….he look at the vegetables am cutting and smile
“They are cute…..but you’re feeding humans not animals…..why are they so big?” He asked,
“…..” I was speechless.
“Let me show you how it’s done” he said and hugged me from behind. His big hands covered mine as he started moving his hands, I allowed him move my hands. I was like a little child who is shown how to write.
The scene was so beautiful as Leon mother smiled from behind, he watch how tender Leon was to his wife.
She was so small in his arms.She could tell Leon really love her.
“Mom…..are you….uhm….can you bake some cookies for me later….I want Gem to taste your cookies….I missed them” Leon said and his mother smiled as a drop of tears falls from her eyes.
“Yes….yes I… I’ll do that son….thank you son….” She said. I smiled at Leon and kissed his cheek.
“Thanks Leon!” I whispered as he hook his hands round my waist.
“For what?” He’s voice was so seducive
“For forgiving her” i said
“Every I do….is for you kitten…they all are for you….only if you promise to always stay by my side”
“Am not going anyway Leon…. unlike you who always leave me” i said and look away from him. He kissed my head and hugged me. My head rest on his chest.
“Am sorry….I’ll never leave without notice again” he said
“That’s what you always say” i tried not to cry though my eyes were red.
He broke the hug and cup my cheeks
“You made me come here alone….” I said and he frown.
“Am such a moron for doing that….am so stupid for leaving you….am a very big fool for doing that……” My tears finally drop and he wipe them away. “But am sorry and am telling you it will never happen again…..I love you….I love you so much”
“I love you much more” i said and he smiled and his lips met mine. He pulled me close and deepen the kiss.
Mom watch the two lovers being romantic.
“Uh….ehmmm….” Someone cleared his throat. I broke the kiss because I know Leon won’t. How could I forget
we were around people….I felt so embarrassed. It was Leon’s father.
“Mood spoiler” Leon whispered and anger filled his face again as he look at his father. His father frown too.
“Leon….” I whispered and he looked at me.
“Son…..”
“Am not your son!!!” Leon yelled, so loud the hall echoed. I’ve seen Leon angry before but not to this
extent….His muscles were even reacting to his anger….he was going to explode.
“Leon…..” I whispered
“Stay out of this Gem…..let’s go inside” he dragged my hands along.
We got to the room and he slam the door. He finally let go of my hands and walk towards the window. Trying to calm himself he was taking a deep breath.

Jolene’s father slam the files on the ground….
He’s mission wasn’t successful.
