Grandma was relaxing at the garden with Leon’s too elder brother. When Mr and Mrs Mavis joined them.

 

“Mom….have you heard from Leonel?” Mrs Mavis asked.

 

“Oh….yes yes….” said grandma.

 

“It’s all over the news that he’s dating a mini actress….I mean I can’t believe he broke up with Rose” said Mr.

“Now he’s no longer with Rose he can come back home right?” Mrs Mavis asked her husband who only frown.

 

“Yes…of course he can!” he said.

 

“Leonel might come back home but mind it…..Gem is not just he’s girlfriend….she’s his wife and they are

 

married” granny said and their mouth wide open.

 

“Leonel married a celebrity!??” Mr Mavis yelled

 

“At least it’s better than that slut and gold digger!” Mrs Mavis shut her husband up.

 

“Leonel’s wife is not safe out there so I’ve called him to bring her home….so Leonel will be home by

 

tomorrow” granny said

 

“Mom….why didn’t you tell me on time……I have to get things ready” Mrs Mavis yelled in excitement.

 

“Don’t be too happy to see him….he actually still hate all of you…..he’s only coming back because of Gem….if

 

not he has really cut ties with the Mavis….when he comes I’d advise you just stay out of his business….I’ll be

 

heading inside” granny said and walk out.

 

The family of four were left in daze. Leonel who was left home seven years ago. He still hates his family, especially his father who was mad things difficult for him even after he left the family.

 

Before the incident with Rose, Leonel was his father’s favorite son….he loved and spoil him too much but now

 

things turned apart as Leonel who once look at his father as his hero now sees him as a piece of crab.

 

Jolene, her parents and grandparents made plans together.

 

“So….you mean Gem’s parents were the one who almost tired the Mavis apart and killing the old Mr

 

Mavis?!….., wow….this is awesome!!!!” Jolene yelled.

 

“Precious you should use this plan wisely” said grandpa

 

“Father who many times will I tell you her name is Jolene…..you know we have a reason for naming her

 

that!!!” Marie yelled, she’s so rude even to her old father and mother.

 

“Enough…..first let’s figure out a way to get Jolene closer to the Mavis…..but first again…..she has to go somewhere with me to inherit her property as the only heir of Hasten…..” dad said.

 

I look at my fingers and I was puzzled. How did this ring end up in my finger.

 

It was so beautiful……it was sparkling. It has beautiful design around it. Many tiny diamond rocks surrounded the ring.

 

“Wait…….did Leon…..?” I remember the fire works…..I remembered his so called surprise…… was it this?, I ran

 

out of the bathroom. I met Leon standing by the window. One of his hands were in his pocket and the other was holding a wine glass. He look at me with a wide smile.

 

“Kitten….. you’re done showering already?” he asked but I kept on staring at him. Years filled my eyes that refuse to drop, blinding my vision.

 

“Kitten……” he quickly drop the wine glass on the table “Did…..did I do anything……” I ran and hug him before

 

he finish his words, dragging his height down to mine.

“And you know I love you too…. please stop crying before I join you!” he said and I chuckled and broke the

 

hug.

 

“Leonel………” I called his name and pouted… looking deep into his confused and worried eyes.

 

“Am here…..it’s me….” he said and took my hands placing them on his cheeks. “Gem…..am here…..why are you crying… please tell me!”

 

“Oh gosh…..your killing me Leonel……if you continue like this my little heart is going to explode for you….” I

 

said and he frown looking more confused. Seeing this I raise my fingers up…he looked at my fingers and smiled

 

“Don’t tell me…….”

 

“Did you put this on me?” I cut him short of his words.

 

“Oh….” he rub the back of his neck shyly “Kitten….I actually wanted this to be special but you were so worried

 

so I had to cut the surprise off…..I wanted to go down on one knee and ask ‘Will You Marry Me?’ but we were

 

already married so….I just sneak the ring into your fingers…..sorry you have to find out like this…..” by the

 

time he raised his eyes to look at me…..I was already crying bitterly again. Leon walk up to me and carried me

 

to the bed. He lye down and put me on his chest. He rub my back, planting countless kisses on my head.

 

“Gem please…just at you hate it when am angry…I hate it when you’re crying like this……just……” he sniffed

 

his nose. Wait was he crying too? I left myself and look at his red eyes and teary cheeks. He lower his eyes. “Am sorry….I was just being too emotional…..I

use me to make rose jealous but…. Leon now I know you love me….am so happy……” I said still crying but

 

smiling. A single drop of tears run down his cheeks again. He drew closer and kissed by tears. He brought a box out of his pocket and open it. It show a similar ring to mine but mine has much decorations and design. The ring was plain but was very very similar to mine.

 

“I want you to out the ring on me Gem…..” he said. I couldn’t hold back the tears flowing from my eyes, I took

 

the ring and put it in his fingers….he’s fingers entangled with mine as he drew closer and cut my lips. His kiss

 

was slow but passionate….he rolled me over and took control as he deepen the kiss. His tongue found mine
