CHAPTER 17

 

PREVIOUSLY ON GOLD BLUSTERS

 

How the hell, did he know of my relationship with Eliska..

 

“I admire you… Eliska is really a sexy bitch.. She’s smart and I can’t wait to fu.ck her before I kill her… I’ve had several hard on thinking about her..”he stated and It only infuriated me…

 

“She will be your worst nightmare”I spoke up standing up.

 

He looked shocked as I stood before him..

 

He rushed towards me at the same time I rushed towards him and we both fell down hitting our heads on the floor… Despite feeling weak, I crawled to my feet as I dragged him my his head and slammed his head to the wall… And I fell down sitting on my buttocks, feeling exhausted… My eyes slowly becoming heavy as blood rushes down from my head..

 

Staggering back to my feet, i checked for his pulse but found none..

 

I heard noises as fire fighters rushed in to put out the fire.. I tried to move closer but dizziness hits me hard as everything slowly become blank.. I heard Lisy’s soft sexy voice as her face appears to me..

 

At least, we meet again in heaven….

 

My brother must have indeed forgiven me…..

 

TED’S POV

 

I laid my head on the bed, as wave of dizziness hits me hard.. i have no more tears to shed again.. I’ve drained everything within me.. I’m depressed, sad at the same time angry.. Am angry at the doctor, am angrier at Finn, furious at myself and mad

 

at Lily for not fighting back.. I’m furious at her for giving up on her family without

 

an attempt to fight…

 

She failed me… She used to be a fighter, a great fighter that never accept defeat,

 

she fights to win in victory and courage or lose with courage and experience…

 

‘A fool runs away from a battle because of fear of loosing but a champion fights in

 

faith for experience..’her voice rang in my head loudly…

 

And I scoffed!!!!

 

“You’re a liar… You were never a coward, Lily stop trying to be one”I stated in

 

tears

 

“You taught me that, there’s no harm in trying.. why the hell are you not

 

trying???”I don louder…

 

I raised my head staring at her pale face.. This is not my bestie I used to know..

 

She seems to be enjoying her deep sleep.. I could hear people shouting and running

 

up and down probably worried about someone who they just rushed in…

 

“Ted!!!!”my sister Raissa shouted my name as she swinged the door open…

 

“Stanley!!!!”she burst out in tears… As I begin to panic within me… Please, God!!!

 

I keep staring at her intensively, waiting for her to finish her sentence..

 

“He’s undergoing surgery now.. His head looked bursted when they rushed him

 

here”she explained crying…

 

I stood like a statue, dumbfounded by the news…

 

I want to be there for my family, for my brother.. But I’m unable to move a muscle

 

from my standing point..

 

If anything should happen to my brother, I will never be able to forgive myself…

 

I’ve always been angry at him but I never wished ill towards him..

 

I finally move my feet with great difficulties and stumbled on my seat..

 

“I can’t leave her side”I finally spoke up…

 

And my sister stare furiously at me…

 

“Stanley is our elder brother.. He’s dying for crying out loud and all you have to

 

say is you can’t leave her!!!”she shouted…

 

“You’re heartless and ungrateful human being.. Stanley needs us and you have the

 

guts to turn your back on him”she yelled..

 

“Don’t yell at me”I barked at her… I heard the a strange sound…

 

I turned around in shock, as Eliska continue to hypervate as I hastenly pressed the

 

alarm button….

 

“Lily!!!! Lily!!! Lily!!!!”I called her name in panic holding her close to my chest.. The doctor rushed inside with few nurses, I quickly stood up from my position as the doctor examined her..

 

 

“Please step outside”a nurse spoke up as she urgently, practically pushed is out of the room..

 

Damn all this formality bullshit…

 

“They have no right to send me out.. especially not in the manner that fu.cking nurse did…”I spat grinding my teeth furiously…

 

“They are just doing their job brother”Raissa yelled back at me…

 

Immediately, aunt Rocky, nanny shela, Daniel, Sarah and Tyler rushed towards us…

 

“What’s going on???”aunt Rocky bombat me with question..

 

“She was kinda breaking heavily like she was choking.. and her hands also move”I explained and aunt Rocky knelt down as she appreciated God.. “That’s a great sign”Daniel added and I nodded my head in agreement…

 

I hope it’s indeed a great sign because I freaked out a while back and am still curiously freaking out right now….

 

Several nurses rushed out and inside the room before the doctor finally stepped out

 

with a blank face and slightly amused….

 

“I’m shocked!!!!”he exclaimed

 

“She regained consciousness…”he finally confessed…

 

And we screamed in joy.

 

“In all my years of experience, I’ve never seen such a unique case… If I may ask what Happened before she moved”he asked curiously..

 

“My brother and I were arguing about Our older brother.. Stanley…”Raissa answered

 

“She literary, yelled that I was an heartless guy and Stanley is fighting for his life.. something of that nature”I added

 

“Stanley must be very important, while I was trying to calm her down even though she was semi conscious, she was having a kind of panic attack.. like she was struggling beyond barriers.. she slowly calmed down when a nurse of mine said.. everything was fine now..”he explained…

 

“She has no relationship with Stanley, why would she respond to him??”I asked… “He has been with her for long in her unconscious state.. She mostly recognize his voice and his name better than most of us..”Daniel replied

 

“Oohhh come on outcast, Stanley has hanged around long enough to earn that stimulus reaction to him..”Tyler spoke up.. and I hissed..

 

For the first time in a long time, my elder brother Tyler spoke to me without yelling at me.. Amazing!!!!

 

“Can we see her????”aunt Rocky asked eagerly…

 

 

“Of course ma’am but be mindful of the utterances you say in her presence.. Her mind is critically conscious now and sensitive… But on a second thought as a friend, I would also encourage you to trigger her with sensitive issues on Stanley.. like, he requested to see her.. and he’s no longer responding to treatment and so on.. With caution”the doctor advised and excused himself….

 

Aunt Rocky and nanny Sheila were the first to enter the room, and I walked in with Daniel trailing behind me..

 

“My sweet child”aunt Rocky called out in tears as she caressed Lily’s pale cheek..

 

sobbing quietly while nanny Sheila tried her possible best to calm her down… “She will recover soon”nanny Sheila encouraged aunt Rocky but it only worsened the situation… Nanny Sheila led her out of the room..

 

I walked over to Eliska and sat down beside her as I led out a deep breath I did not know have been holding…

 

“I don’t like it when aunt Rocky cries like that, you don’t like it either, but you remained calm about it like seeing her depressed doesn’t affect you Lily”I spoke up slightly paranoid..

 

“You’ve rested for a long while now, you need to wake up now”I urged her “Stanley isn’t doing well without you sister.. He was calling out for you when he woke up…”Daniel spoke up, surprising standing beside me..

 

When the heck did he walked closer to me???? “He’s not doing well Lily”I stated partially truthful..

 

“He’s in a bad shape sister”Daniel added… But she remained still… She didn’t move a muscle at all…

 

“Guess she can’t hear us anymore”I stated.. feeling dejected…

 

“How can you stay so calm, when Stanley who sacrifice alot to watch over is fighting for his life… He’s undergoing surgery and he’s not responding well to treatment all because of you”Daniel raised his voice a little louder… Surprisingly, Eliska’s finger moved.. Her body vibrated before it stilled again…

 

I almost wanted to scream out in joy but I struggled to remain calm until she stilled again…

 

“Ted!!!”my mom called out for me as she barged inside…

 

“She regained consciousness and she moved a few seconds ago”I said happily but she looked depressed

 

“That nice but your brother needs your help immediately… He needs blood and the hospital has run out his blood type…”mom spoke up in between tears…

 

“Mom, why not ask Dad to donate for him or even ask Tyler”I suggested not wanting to leave Lily’s side and part of me irritated by my mother’s tears…

 

 

“Your dad isn’t doing well and Tyler’s number is not reachable son.. Stanley is your brother.. Why can’t you set aside your differences and save his life”mom halfyelled at me…

 

“This has nothing to do with my anger at him.. I’m too weak to donate blood for him mom and you Know it.. Even the doctor will kick against it…”for unknown reasons, I find myself defending my actions..

 

“Mom, do you want me to go back in comma to save Stanley…???”I asked her “Of course not, I totally forgot about your health condition… I’m sorry for jumping into conclusions… I’ll just send someone to drive Tyler her”she said and peeped at Lily before walking out of the room..

 

‘what am I doing?? I could have attempt to save my brother than giving up so easily’i said to myself

 

“You don’t need to beat yourself for turning your mom down.. You’re not medically fit for blood donation….”Daniel said

 

“I could have tried”I replied….

 

The door swinged open as Sarah and Finn walked in…

 

“Where the hell have you been???”I asked Finn immediately my eyes landed on him..

 

“I was with your family during Stan’s surgery…”he answered…

 

“He was also there during the attack”Sarah spoke up and it spoke my anger…

 

“You flee without my brother, your best friend”I stated

 

“He saved me.. He forced me out of the mansion with the culprit we caught”Finn answered

 

“I don’t give a damn but if anything happens to my brother, I won’t hesitate to point fingers at you”I stated angrily

 

“Hey Ted, you’ve forgotten your manners.. I’ve put up with your bullshit because of Eliska and Stan… I won’t tolerate it one bit, when you disrespect me and most especially threaten me”Finn answered back at me

 

“Who the hell do you think you are…??? I’ve never liked you because of this side of you.. eat my words the way it suit you and how you like to eat it but it won’t change the letters of my words.. My words will always remain the same not like you who changes opinion due to your cowardice attitude”I raised my voice at him…

 

“Hey!!!”he shouted lifting his left hand in the air…

 

“Stan!!! Stan!!! Stan!!!”I heard Eliska murmuring as she roll gently sweating heavily.. Daniel has already pressed the botton…

 

“Stan!!! Stan!!! Stan!!!”she whispered as her breathing slowly normalize and the

 

doctor rushed in.. checking her vital organs…

 

“Please step outside.. We need to move the patient to the operating theatre”the

 

doctor spoke up and we rushed out one after the other…

 

But I don’t understand the need for an operation…

 

“There’s a bullet stuck in her arm”Daniel explained like he was reading my

 

thought..

 

“If anything goes wrong, I’ll sue this hospital and every doctors and nurses

 

involved… I won’t spare them.. I swear”I threatened…

 

Like hell, why would they leave a bullet in her arm for so long..

 

This is unethical…

 

“There’s nothing to worry about anymore, she have overcome that critical state..

 

This is a small challenge”Sarah spoke up patting my back and I turned her to

 

myself and hugged her tightly…

 

EXACTLY THREE HOURS LATER..

 

Eliska was moved out of the operating theatre..

 

She looked paler and weak…

 

“How was the operation??”I asked the doctor

 

“It was successful, there was no complications I believe her arm will work

 

perfectly okay”the doctor answered and walked away..

 

“Stanley’s operating went well”Raissa shouted at us breathing heavily…

 

Ahhhhh!!!! I feel at ease now and I blacked out…

 

JULIE

 

JUAN-MARCOS

 

(ELISKA’S COUSIN SISTER- her aunt Mariana eldest daughter)

 

“Lorreta!!!!”I shouted angrily

 

“Here I am big sis.. You don’t have to destroy this building with your voice”she replied.. As my cousin sister Monica ( Zak’s eldest daughter) embraced me from behind…

 

Damn that cheap colone upsetting my system….

 

“Who upset you eldest cousin”Monica asked me dragging me to sit down on the couch..

 

“You guys don’t listen to news at all that’s why you’re all ignorant of the current news.. You stay at home all day and wary around doing nothing then at night you attend party”I lecture them…

 

 

I noticed my cousin brother Arthur (Zak’s eldest and only son) and my sister Lorreta rolling their eyes…

 

“Ooohhh come-on princess don’t beat around the bush!!” Arthur spoke up as he sat down beside his sister Monica..

 

“Finn’s mansion was attacked and partially burnt.. Though Finn was not there at the time of the attack but Manager Harrison and Stanley Koppel’s body was recovered… Harrison was found dead but Stanley was in an unconscious state”I explained and they gasped in shock…

 

“But I don’t understand how or why Harrison of all people could have been involved in this scandal”I stated…

 

“Perhaps, they were both fighting for Eliska.. I hate to admit it but she’s a very pretty and sexy lady”my foolish sister Lorreta blurted out..

 

“Shut up if you have nothing good to say”I shouted at her…

 

“Instead of being at each others throat, why don’t you call your darling sister… She’s friends with them”my sister suggested something brilliant for the first time.. Arthur quickly called his sister’s number and it rang several times before she finally felt the need to accept the call.. Characterless girl.. “Hello!!!!”she responded

 

“Hey baby girl, watssup with you???”he asked

 

“Not too good… Just stressed up… Eliska is undergoing surgery and Stanley is also undergoing surgery”she explained

 

“What.???? Stanley???? What the hell happened to him????”he asked her

 

“The bank manager Harrison and his men attacked Finn’s mansion earlier today.. Finn managed to escape but Stanley wasn’t that lucky enough…”she explained “But I don’t understand it, Stanley is new in town… What kind of issue did he have with Harrison that will warrant this outcome???”my smart cousin brother asked…

 

“Harrison was the guy responsible for the shoot out in Eliska’s party.. But I don’t really have much details on it”she explained further…

 

“I’m sorry I have to hang up now something came up”she shouted and disconnected the call, just like that…

 

“My hunch was correct big sis”Lorreta said and I scoffed at her…

 

“I wish she never survive the operation.. She has to pay for what she did to my father”Monica blurted out harshly..

 

I don’t wish death for her but I still despise her with passion..

 

“If she survives it, we will just kill her in the hospital.. like inject her with posion or something harsher that will damage all her vitals organs”Arthur suggested to his sister..

 

“I disagree on that”I blurted out…

 

“Big sis, their ideas are great.. I’m also tired of being compared to her all the time..

 

Mom rubs her success in our faces all the time”My sister Lorreta added…

 

“I want her to pay for all the wrong she did to my father”Monica chipped in.. “Monica, we all know how cunny your father is.. You of all people should know that he’s deeds caught up with him… Even your father knows this fact is true”I said “I don’t like what you’re saying one bit today, at all”Monica raised her voice at me…

 

“Monica Don’t you dare raise your voice at me ever again.. You homeless child with a devious father like yours”I stated the true fact…

 

“Julie which side are you on??”Arthur asked me with an angry expression “My truth, cousin… Your father is evil beyond imagination.. My father is also greedy but with grade and maturity.. You can’t plan to kill Eliska she’s innocent in this case and expect me to hail and support your mission… I strongly oppose”I stated firmly…

 

“This is enough.. I won’t sit here and watch you insult my father like that”Monica shouted…

 

“Shut your mouth and glue your buttocks back to the couch.. Right now!!!”I demanded and she immediately subjected to my demands…

 

“I thought you hated Eliska”my sister Lorreta asked looking confused

 

“Not hated… I hate her but I can’t and will not be a party to murder.. I hate her more and more every waking day but I won’t kill her.. I prefer to fight and attack physically than hide and attack when the person is idle and incapable of fighting back”I explained…

 

“Why must you try to verbally attack me??? If you have something in mind to say to me.. Go ahead”Monica shouted..

 

“Guilty conscience.. I called no names”I stated

 

“But we all know that you were referring to me”Monica defended her point of argument

 

“Clear conscience fears no accusations.. That is why it was very easy for Eliska to defeat your father…”I shouted back at her…

 

“I’ve had enough of you involving my father in such trivial issue that doesn’t relates to him”Arthur shouted back at me.. Standing to his feet…

 

I wonder why am always finding myself involving his father in everything I say to them. This is so unlike me… But I won’t back down..

 

“Arthur you of all people should be ashamed of yourself.. You’re the oldest child of your father his only heir.. You have nothing as inheritance and no have nothing to

 

 

show as evidence of your work. You’re literally, an educated illiterate.. The worst kind of illiteracy we have in this world.. Your brain is only active in deriving such devious scheme like Killing Eliska in her death bed.. instead of praying for her to recover so that you can stand before her and fight like a real man”I yelled at him and he stared at me dumbfounded

 

“A real man would not even fight a woman..”My sister Lorreta brilliantly added “Thank dear… A real man should be able to uproot your family from Grass to Grace and let your money speak for you”I added…

 

“This is how God set confusion in the camp of the enemy”My brother Santiago said with a bright smile plastered on his face as he walks into our midst.. I hate him too…
