My first true love

Chapter 8

I woke up by the sound of the thunder.

Where am I?

I looked around me and all I saw was darkness. I couldn’t distinguished where I was, then I saw him standing by the window looking out.

I still couldn’t believe it was him, the love of my life…or at least, the guy that left me to suffer.

He must have felt that I was awake, because he turned around, and saw me starting at him.

Then out of nowhere, the room was sorrounded by candles.

I could see his complexion now, his features.

He changed so much, but he still had those cute eyes of his, that melt me every time I stare at them.

Our eyes met, and we just stood there, staring at each other.

“Jane” he whispered.

My heart melt, when I heard him say my name.

“Jane, are you okay?” he asked, stepping closer…

“Yeah” was all I said, and in a second, he was right in front of me. I could feel his warmth.

“Alexander…is that really you?”

“Yes, Jane…I came back”

“Why? After all this time…”

“I know, there is a lot of things that I need to tell you, but you have to listen to me first”

“Why would I do that, you left me without saying anything…how can I…”

He looked down, not wanting to meet my eyes, and I was getting mad. Anger was just flowing around me.

“You have to, because you’re in danger”

“What?”

“You’re in danger…because of me”

“You?”

“Yes, me being in love with you Jane, is dangers…there are people out there that wants to destroy my kind, they know that I left you here…alone, and they are coming to…kill you”

I was shocked, why would anyone want to kill me?

“Jane, you have to come with me. I’ll keep you save, please. Come with me” There was something that was telling me to go with me, but he left me, how can I forgive him so easily?

“No. I can’t, I have to go back”

“Jane, please”

“No”

“Why won’t you come with me?”

“I…you left me, I need to think…please take me home”

He looked sad, but he nodded.

“Ok, but I won’t leave you alone”

I stood up and followed him outside the room. That’s when I recognized where we were, the cabin, near the river.

I froze when I saw a black car parked in front of the cabin.

“So, you were the one following me”

“Yes, I had to keep an eye on you”

I nodded, and got in the car. Alexander started to drive through the woods, and out to my house.

The ride was awkward, we both were in silence.

When we got to my house, there was a police car parked in front of my house.

Great.

I got out of the car and started walking towards my house, I turned around one last time. Alexander stared at me for a long time.

“I’m not leaving you Jane, I will come back… don’t forget that I love you” he said, before driving away.

I love you too, but it’s time for me to move on.

What am I going to do now?….
