My first true love

Chapter 23

Could this possibly be the person that I was expecting to see? Could this possibly be Alexander or a trick?

I looked at Derek, he looked relax, but at the same time I could see something different in his eyes that grabbed my attention.

“Jane, are you okay?” he asked suddenly breaking my train of thoughts. “I…yeah, I’m fine”

“Let’s go then, we don’t want to keep him waiting” he said then turned and walked

down the hall.

Him?

As in Alexander or the guy that kidnapped me?

I walked behind Derek, trying to keep a distance between our steps. There was no time for me to register his features when he found me.

I could see him now, his tall muscular body and his broad shoulders would leave a

girl speechless. Especially his eyes, one could get lost in them and his lips, I

remember when he opened the door of the room in which I was trapped in and saw

his lips; they looked so…kissable.

Wait…what am I thinking?

I can’t think about him like that, after what I’ve been through to see Alexander. We came to a stop as soon as we were about to go down the stair care. Derek stopped and turned to look at me.

“You can go down, he is waiting for you right outside the patio” he said stepping away.

I gulped. “Aren’t coming down with me?”

He smiled. “No…I think he wants to see you alone, he’s been waiting to see you” I sighed and nodded. “Ok…thanks”

He nodded and nudged me to go down. I smiled and walked down the stairs. I looked up to see if he was still there, but he wasn’t anymore.

I took a few deep breaths and headed to the patio..

It was still night, the moon was the only light outside. Gleaming and shining.

I could see someone giving his back at me and leaning on the railing. I knot was caught on my throat. I couldn’t speak or move; the presence turned around and stepped from the shadows and into the light.

The light glinted off his black hair and his eyes looked piercing in the night.

“Alexander?” I asked astound.

He smiled and opened his arms and I ran and give him a hug. I breathe in his sweet scent and hugged him tight.

“I missed you so much Alexander” I whispered containing myself from crying. He hugged my tight and gave me a kiss on my forehead. “I missed you too Jane” We stood like that for a few more minutes, hugging each other under the moonlight. My heart wanted to stop beating now; it was filled with happiness and love.

I sighed contentedly as he squeezed me tighter.

“I love you Alexander” I told him unwrapping myself from him. He looked startled, and then his expression softens and smiled.

“You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for you to say those words…I love you too Jane, more than anything” I smiled and leaned forward.

Our eyes connected for a second, then our lips. I kissed him with everything that I’ve got, the kiss was soft and gentle, and it scared me for a minute. It has been so long, I wanted to savour his scent and his mouth.

I parted my lips more to give him full access to them. He embraced me with his arms and soon he was roaming his hands all over my face and back. I placed my arms around his neck and brought him closer. The kiss turned from gentle to wild, my head was spinning, I couldn’t get enough of him, his lips detached themselves from my lips and he softly kissed my eyelids and cheeks.

I roamed my hands all over his hair, our breathing quicken. I opened my eyes and saw him staring at me with such a passion and love that I wanted to melt.

He lent in close “You look beautiful today” he whispered in my ear sending shivers down my spine.

“You don’t look so bad yourself” I whispered back with a seductive wink.

“I really did missed you Alexander…you shouldn’t have left” he looked hurt and sad.

“I had to Jane, for your safety…I missed you so much, but I knew you were going to be safe, but I wasn’t anticipating this to happen” he said.

I sighed and leaned on his chest, he brought his arms around me we stood like that for a few minutes, feeling the cold night enveloping us.

“What are we going to do now?” He froze for a second and shrugged.

“I don’t know… maybe you should go back to Oregon, you’ll be safe there” “What?” I asked taken back. Is he serious? I just traveled all this way to see him and all I get from him is a kiss and now he wants me to go back home.

“No!” I shouted. “I can’t go home, not without you”

He looked tense and concerned. “Jane, we can’t keep you here, it’s not safe” “Why?”

He looked at me and immediately looked away. “Why can’t you just tell me what’s going on here…why keep me away from you when we just got back together”

“I don’t want this for you ok!” he snapped. His eyes turned black for a minute before going back to his regular color.

“Don’t you think I should be able to make that decision for myself?!” I grabbed his arms and hold onto them for a second, I had a feeling that I was going to faint at any minute.

“Jane…I love you, and I can’t lose you” he grabbed me quickly before I could say anything else and kissed me. His kiss was forced and not felt as if he was letting all the hurt that he was holding out.

I hugged him and pulled back. “I love you Alexander, that’s why you can’t keep me away from you. I won’t lose you again…not if I can prevent it” He looked vulnerable for a minute. I was tired and what I really wanted to do right now is sleep.

Alexander looked at me and touched my eyes gently. “You must be tired…c’mon, let’s go to bed” he said half smiling and gold my hand.

I followed him to the room that I was staying and closed the door behind him.

I took off my shoes and jacket while Alexander took his. I knew that I should be mad at him for thinking that he could send me back without my consent, but I couldn’t.

I just hope he changes his mind tomorrow or I’ll be in trouble…
