CHAPTER 29

 

THAT SAME DAY IN THE AFTERNOON

 

Celine stood in the sitting room thinking about all what just happened in the morning, the encounter with the mysterious assassin and him warning her then she getting burnt with fire from no where.

 

Rick came out from the room and met Celine in the sitting room,he walked towards her without her notice and she got scared thinking it was the assassin man again.

 

Celine

 

“Oh my God”,she shakes and scream

 

Rick

 

“What’s wrong with you,

 

Celine

 

 

“Nothing,oh sorry “,she tries to cover up

 

Rick

 

“Are you scared of something or is anything the problem??,huh

 

Celine

 

“No Rick,

 

Rick

 

“Cause you acted strange,and when you saw me you scream like as if you were afraid someone wants to catch you or so?

 

Celine

 

“You still care about me Rick,huh”,she said and looked into his eyes

 

Rick

 

“I want a divorce Celine,

 

Celine

 

“Oh ,i knew it has gotten to this

 

Rick

 

“Am bringing the documents for you to sign,

 

Celine

 

“Am not divorcing you Rick

 

Rick

 

 

“That is story for the gods,cause you must be joking

 

Celine

 

“I love you Rick,i can’t leave without you,huh

 

Rick

 

“Our daughter is gone because of your carelessness,cause of the way you taught her badly,you took all my advise as nothing,we can’t continue like this Celine,we can’t we don’t love each other anymore”,he said and walked away

 

Celine

 

“But I love you,we need to talk please

 

Rick

 

“Am busy I have some personal work to attend to,

 

Celine

 

“Should I prepare your favorite meal,huh

 

Rick

 

“Am not hungry,I don’t need your food,you could kill me

 

Celine

 

“Oh no I won’t, please Rick

 

Rick

 

“Leave me alone

 

 

Rick left her in the sitting room,and Celine started getting afraid about the incident of the morning,but her mind is still determine to kill Melissa.

 

Three weeks later, Melissa is trying to tidy the room but a minute later,she started having a very terrible pain in her womb,she holds her stomach to ease the pain but it’s was worst, sebastine was really terrified ,he had to call the hospital .

 

Melissa

 

“This pain is too much for me to bear,I can’t take it anymore, what’s really going on?

 

Baby be a good boy,why are you punishing me, please don’t kill me ok,mama loves you”,she spoke with her stomach while she placed one hand on it,yes that good,be good boy don’t hurt mummy, daddy and mommy loves you,

 

Sebastine

 

“I called the hospital,they will be here to pick you up,

 

Melissa

 

“No dear,the pain is gone now,am good”, smiling

 

Sebastine

 

“We are going to the hospital mell

 

Melissa

 

“No we won’t,I talked to him and he listened to my voice

 

Sebastine

 

“Who listened to your voice,

 

Melissa

 

“Our son,he listened,i want to take a rest please

 

Sebastine

 

“Are you sure

 

Melissa

 

“Yes dear, I am

 

Sebastine

 

“Ok my queen,go ahead and take a rest.

 

Two days later,the pain came back again, Melissa tried to talk to the baby,but this time it grew worst.

 

Sebastine

 

“My queen,i can’t leave you here, let’s go to the hospital Melissa

 

“I will be fine,I know what am doing

 

Sebastine

 

“Do u want anything,huh

 

Melissa

 

“No ,dear

 

Sebastine

 

“Ok dear,

 

Melissa

 

“Seb my water just broke,look at the floor,

 

Sebastine

 

“You need me to get you more water”,he asked panicking

 

Melissa

 

“No Seb,i think the baby is coming out now”, terrified and in pains

 

Sebastine

 

“So soon,let me take you to the car, can you walk”, he said while he carried her going outside

 

Melissa

 

“I can’t,it’s coming already

 

Sebastine

 

“Calm down dear,it’s ok ,it’s will be fine ok

 

Melissa

 

“I don’t think we can make it to the hospital, let’s have the baby here”,she said while she inhale and holds her waist and under her stomach for support,the baby’s head was already pushing out

 

Sebastine

 

“So what should I do now”, shaking with fear

 

Melissa

 

“Spread out the mattress on the floor so i could lie,and bring some water for me

 

Sebastine called out one of his servant,and everything was brought to him,he collected it and spread it with shaky hands, while he assisted his laboured wife to lie on the matt

 

ress,and she spread out her legs , exposing her na.ked body.

 

So what now huh,

 

Melissa

 

“Am going to push on the count of three”, she said and inhale , while beads of sweat rolls off from her face,with pains

 

Sebastine

 

“Hold my hands my queen,you can do this

 

Melissa

 

“One,

 

Sebastine

 

“Pushhh

 

Melissa

 

“hmmmmmmm oh God this is hot and burning,ahhhhhhhh With tears coming from her eyes,

 

Sebastine

 

“You can do it my love,take a deep breath and relax,then push again,ok let’s do it”,he said as Melissa holds him more tighter, struggling in pains

 

Melissa

 

“Two,ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,ohhhhh hmmmmm,yes yes,it’s coming look at the head,oh God,yes yes

 

Sebastine

 

“Three,Mel pushhhhh

 

Melissa

 

“Hmmmmmmmm,ahhhhhhhhhh

 

Sebastine

 

“Yahh,here you are my queen,It’s really a boy,we did it my queen, he’s so cute and handsome just like me”, smiling

 

Melissa

 

“Oh thanks goodness,am free and am alive, thank you so much for helping me out,you are the best man God has given to me”,she said weakly and happily,

 

Sebastine

 

“You don’t need to thank me for anything,i have loved you before,let me attend to our little prince.

 

Sebastine clean up the baby and gave him to his mother, Melissa carried her baby and kissed him with tears in her eyes, while sebastine cleaned her up,and clean up the floor ,then he carried her to the bed so so can rest with her baby.

 

He told his brothers about the birth of his son,and the neighbors, everyone was happy for them.
