Catherine sighed as she folded her arms while watching her brother walk away, he has no idea how determined she is and does not plan on giving up till she separate both of them.

“Okay” she said with a forced smile as Linda gave her a genuine smile and walked away.

 

,I need to go to work now* Veronica said as she texted William and headed straight to work since she was already fully dressed for that.

 

“Did you hear the news, William Morgan is getting married and to Linda Carline” Ruby said with so enthusiasm

 

“Yeah I heard” Veronica said as she tucked her hair behind her ear as she went through the menu

 

“You see that Veronica, that is exactly the type of girl that suits someone like William. She is pretty, rich, covered in channel from head to toe, she is a celebrity I mean she is just perfect. Only people like them deserves to breathe the same air as people like William morgan, but as for people like us. We do not stand a chance”

 

“Why do you keep saying that, what’s wrong with me. I am pretty, I might not be rich or expensive but does that really matters?” Veronica yelled looking so pissed while Ruby stared at looking a bit scared

 

“Why are you so upset about this. I am sorry, I didn’t know something like that would annoy you”

 

Veronica sighed and said” I am sorry, I just have a lot on my mind right now”

,”I want you to come to my office be there in 35 minutes” she said with a very commanding tone as she hung up. Veronica sighed and looked at Ruby

 

“Ruby, I have something very urgent I need to attend to, I will be back”

 

“Okay see you later then” she said with a smile on her face while Veronica smile back at her and walked out of the restaurant.

 

 

 

Catherine stares at Veronica who looks around unable to make eye contact. Catherine sat down on a sofa in her big office while Veronica sat opposite her with a cup of coffee in her hand

 

“Look into the briefcase”

“You heard me” Catherine said while Veronica picked up the briefcase and opened it. Her eyes darted from the briefcase to Catherine then back on the briefcase again

 

“That 1 millions dollars, if that isn’t enough I will give you more, stay out of my brother’s life”

 

“You think my love for him is something you can just buy?” Veronica asked as she covered the brief case

 

“I hope you not about to start this sentimental bullshit with me. Take the money and leave his life forever”

 

I don’t want money Catherine, I want William. i really do not want you to separate us Catherine”

 

“I am not a bad person, I am just a sister looking out for her brother. I practically raised William, I am way older than him and I Know what best for him. “Okay, I will give you a month but during this month, william will have to pretend for the media, he will have to pretend like he is in love with Linda and if you can manage to prove your love in a month. I Will stop all this. I promise you I won’t get them married until the time I gave you to prove yourself is over ”

 

“It is a deal then” she stood on her feet and said ” I will not disappoint you”

 

“You are doing the impossible, I can never think you worthy of Williams. No matter what you do, but try your best”

 

I definitely will” she said as she walked out of her office. She only made this deal so Catherine will forgive her no matter what.

 

 

Williams car drove into his compound and was surprised to see Veronica sitting outside on the water fountains

 

He got down from his car as the driver drove off with it to park it in the garage. “What wrong why are you out here, let go in” “I do not want to go in”

 

 

“Why? Is anything the matter?”

 

“I do not want to go in because I will not be staying here for now”

 

“What ,why I do not understand did I do something wrong?”

 

“No you didn’t william, but I want you to do something for me” she said as she held his hand
