“Long day at work ” Veronica muttered as she slowly walked down the road that leads to her house. She slowed down and her eyes widened in shock when she got to her house and saw a big truck with home appliances and also some men trying to force a big refrigerator into her house.
“Hey, hey ,hey ” she ran towards them while using her hands to signify stop “what are you doing here and h..how did you get the key to my apartment?”
“Well ma”m we are just mere delivery man , we were suppose to deliver all this to you and the man who sent us here gave us the key to your apartment”. He explained but Veronica didn’t seem to get his explanation as she stared at him with
a puzzled expression. She remembered she didn’t send anyone to deliver any thing and besides that, no way she could afford all this.
“Who is this man anyway, I do not remember giving anyone a key to my apartment and besides, there is no way all this will fit”
“William Morgan ma”am”
“William Morg….”her eyes widened in shock as her eyes darted from the delivery
guy, to the big truck parked outside her building just before it finally landed on the delivery guy.”Why am I so suprised?” She asked a rhetorical question as she rolled her eyes and threw her arms in the air ” I Will be right back ” she took a taxi to the Morgans mansion, being one hundred percent sure William will be at home by now.
“What are you doing here” A very familiar voice asked while Veronica sighed knowing who it is. With a mischievous Smirk on her face, she turned to look at Chelsea who stood in the sitting room with her hands crossed over her chest waiting for an answer from Veronica.
“You do not seem to go home do you? ”
“I should say the same thing to you Veronica”
“Do not be ridiculous this is my house, Last time I checked it isn’t yours” with a fake smile on her face, Veronica walked towards Chelsea and said ” poor little girl, you think I am gone now that gives you the opportunity to manipulate my husband” Chelsea glared at Veronica with a sudden urge to pull out her hair while Veronica laughed and said ” sorry dear, That not going to happen since As long as I am still legally married to William” Veronica shakes her head and placed both hands on Chelsea shoulders ” Lucky you, I am not here to argue with you. I am here to see my husband, we will chat later honey ” She winked at Chelsea just before turning her back to walk away.
William Morgan sat down in his room going through a magazine just before someone stormed into his room. Without looking up, he already know who it is, so he decides to focus on his magazine and ignore Veronica
“William Morgan, how dare you send all those things to my house without my permission. I mean who”she stopped talking when she realised Williams was not paying any attention to her. She sighed, walked over to him and snatched the magazine from him ” are you even listening to me at all”
“Oh hey Veronica , you are here” William greeted casually like he had no idea she has been in the room for the past few seconds as he relaxed in his sofa and crossed his arms over his chest “what do you want ?’
“You.. seriously” she scoffed as she blinked abruptly” You seriously acting like you do not know I have been standing there for the past minutes”
“Really you have.. I didn’t know that”
“William you….”
“But it great you are here, I have a lot I want to do to you but couldn’t due to your tiny apartment”
“What are you talking……” Veronica eyes suddenly widened as she stared at
William in shock ” you know what, I will be on my way now. We will talk tomorrow” she turned her back to run away from the lion’s den but it seems the lion wasn’t willing to let it prey go so easily as he grabbed Veronica by the wrist and yanked her back making her fall sitting on his lap.
“William what are you?”
“You were saying something now, I am listening” William said as his hand slowly travelled from her legs to her thigh
” William I…”
“You what ?” He asked as his hand slowly went under her dress. He knew this was the only way to trap Veronica in order to stop her from making a fuss out of the whole situation. And it not like he is not enjoying seeing her this weak and
defenseless. It makes him happy to know he has this kind of effect on her despite the fact that she is one of the craziest woman he knows.
“William I don’t think now is the right time to”
“Then when do you think is the right time, we can surely make an arrangements” he said teasing her even more
“William, I am not …I came here to talk about what you asked them to deliver, I wanted to say I don’t…” Veronica used her hand to stop Williams hand preventing it from moving any further, especially from touching her no go area.
“What?”
“You are about to ”
“What are you to me?” He asked
“Your wife” she answered
“How long have we been married ?”
“Six months”
“Did I ask you for sex for the past six months?” He asked while Veronica shook her head
“And do you think it going to remain that way forever”
“,No I don’t. This is all new to me and maybe you have had lots of girlfriends in the past but you are like my first ever Serious relationship and this is all new to me ”
“I haven’t been in any relationship in the past either ” William said cutting in
“So you like ,you have never done this? ” Veronica asked
William kept a straight face for awhile but before he started laughing
“What so funny?” Veronica asked obviously clueless about the entire situation “William”
“Wait a second I need to catch my breathe” he said still laughing while Veronica felt a little embarrassed “,okay am sorry ,I just couldn’t help but laugh.. sweetheart I am 28, do I look like a virgin to you ?”
“No big deal, I am 25, I am still a virgin and you said you haven’t been in any relationship in the past that why I assumed”
I haven’t been in any relationship, you are my first relationship. Sure I have had series of one night stand but haven’t had a girlfriend before or a wife ”
“Oh you have had one night stand.. That great ” Veronica said as she looked away from William obviously upset
“Are you jealous” William asked
“No I am not ”
“No it clear to see you are jealous”
“I said I am not jealous okay.. just leave me alone ”
“Would it make you feel better if i said you have better ass compared to those girl’s”
“William” Veronica said as she hit him playfully on the chest “when did you become so dirty?”
“Haven’t I always been like this?”
“No”
“Well we spent most of our time fighting instead of getting to know each other better. You think you know me but you do not really know me ”
“Same thing ..do you really know me”
“I do ”
“Do you know anything about my past”
“I know you have a mean step aunt who stole your property and made you work as a stripper in her club right?”
Veronica eyes suddenly filled with tears and she didn’t seem too shock to know Williams knows her little secret . It was like she was expecting this ” You know I was a stripper”
“Is that a reason for you to cry” He Said as he used his thumb to wipe her tears “I am sorry I talked about that, I just don’t want us to hide anything from…”
“I understand William ” She Said with a smile on her face ” it in my past now ..am sure you must find it hard to believe I have never had sex before ”
“Oh don’t be ridiculous, I know you haven’t…I mean have you seen the way you behave whenever I touch you”
“How do I behave”.
“Childish”
“I am done here” She Said as she stood on her feet “I will be on my way home, I can’t even remember the reason I came here in the first place ”
“Come on , I will drop you off ” he said as he stood on his feet and grabbed his car keys
“No need to I will manage”
“To think I will let you walk home all by yourself at this time of the day,don’t be ridiculous”
“But William” he didn’t allow her finish what she was about to say just before he walked past her. Veronica rolled her eyes as she threw her arms in the air after realizing there’s no use arguing with him.
“We are here ” William announced immediately his car came to a halt in front of Veronica’s apartment
“Thanks..well bye”
“Bye” William waved his hand with a light smile on his face .
Veronica opened the car door but thought of something as she closed it again
“What wro…” William couldn’t complete his question before Veronica placed her hand on both side of his face and her lips met his , William wasted no time in returning the kiss, she broke the kiss and said ” Good night ”
“Oh it will be a wonderful night” he said with a smile on his face
“You are such a flirt William” she said as she got down from the car
“Bye ..you can go now”
“No you go in first ” William said
“But” Veronica sighed when she realised it was no use arguing with him ” okay then ” she said as she turned around and walked into her apartment while William smiled and drove away.
Veronica mouth fell wide opened when she saw the present condition of her apartment ” did I walk into the wrong apartment?” She asked as she checked the house number on her door ” no this apartment number 65″ Doodle came running towards her as she picked it up and looked around the house with disbelief,the once empty apartment was now filled with Different expensive furnitures like the white couch , the mini dinning table , a large screen TV , refrigerator, A.C, new wall
decorations, new bed , new kitchen utensils e.t.c it finally feels like home just when Veronica thought it will at least take a year of hard work to buy all this and it wouldn’t even be of this quality. I mean no way she can afford a refrigerator that cost 7,000 dollars . She opened the refrigerator and it was filled with all kind of food and drinks, her favourite food to be precised
“I got one hell of a husband”
William walked into his mansion with a smile on his face while rolling his key in his fingers
“I see you have a smile on your face , you just dropped of your whore right ?” William stopped walking as he turned to face Chelsea “my wife …the only whore here is you”
“Tell me do you even love your grandmother ,how can you forgive a woman who killed your grandmother so easily ”
“Why are you always here in my house.. do you want me to kick you out myself before you know you are not welcomed here”
“I asked you a question William”
“Let me ask you a question, how did you know Veronica was the reason my grandmother died , what were you doing there that day”
“I told you I was passing by”
“Why am i not convinced” William walked towards Chelsea and grabbed her by the arm. He made her walk with him to the Mansion main exist as he pushed her out of his house” I never want to see you here again and if I found out you have anything to do with my grandmother’s death …. I will personally end you ” he said as he slammed the door in her face.
Chelsea panicked as beads of tears ran down her forehead
Her secret was already coming out in the open and she couldn’t help but Wonder what William is going to do to her when he finds out she killed Grandmother by accident and blamed it on Veronica in an attempt to cover her tracks and separate He and Veronica for good.
But it seems their love was stronger than her little plan and even though her plan had failed woefully, she will not let her secret out so easily
