“Who are you guys?”A woman who I assume to be Kia’s mom asked. “I’m Ryan.This my twin sister Nora”
“What have you done to my son?”She fired at me.
“He is in this condition because of you.You are not welcome here”She yelled.
I tried to fight back the pending tears.I hated been yelled at.
“Mom leave her out of this”Kia defended.
“It’s ok Kia.I shouldn’t have come here in the first place”I said and ran out.
I felt like a coward always running away from my problems and sometimes the truth rather facing it head on.
“Enora! Nora!”he called but I ignored.
“Forget about me Kia it would do you a lot of good”I said before finally exiting the room.
“Nora wait up”Ryan called behind me.
“I’m sorry.I know I forced you to come”
“You didn’t drag me.I choose to come’he chuckles loudly.
“ofcourse I didn’t.You choose to come because you love him”he smirks.
“I don’t love him”I huff loudly and walk away.

“Mom you chased her away”I yelled
“She has cost you so much pains.Who is she to you?”
“Mom you won’t understand”
“Then make me understand.I’m sick and tired of being kept in the dark”
“Well she has a very painful past.She was treated like a piece of shit by men.That made her despise our race leaving her brother as an exception”
“I’m really sorry about that”
“I love her but she rejected me.That’s why I’ve been depressed.I wasn’t expecting her to show up but she did.Now you’ve chased her away”

I was trying to study at least something to get my mind off Kia.I heard a knock on the door.
“Get the door Nora”Lisa shouted from the bathroom.
I rushed to the door and opened it.Kia’s mom was standing right in front of me.

“Good evening ma’am”I guess I didn’t forget some African cultures.

I gestured for her to come in.She sat on the only couch in the room.

“I’m sorry I overreacted”She apologized.I guess things are different here cause Nigerian parents hardly apologize
I don’t blame her though I would do same if I were her.
“Kia has been hurt in the past by his ex.You gave Kia hope again.You gave him hope to experience love again”
“it took him years to finally overcome the heartbreak left by his ex.Please don’t let him go back to his depressed state.Help me make my son a happy man”She pleaded holding my hands.
I nodded.”I will try”
“Please do.I will be on my way”

“Nora I’m really sorry my mom overreacted”
“Its ok.She already apologized”
“So now what?”he asked.
“I don’t know.I guess you should just leave”
“Nora I…”
“Just go”he proceed to walk away but I grabbed his arms.I didn’t want him to leave.I had a feeling of warmth and safety around him.Despite the fact that I didn’t want to admit it.
His eyes always taunt me and I feel myself giving in when I stare at them.
His lips always taste good and I feel.myself wanting more when he kisses me.Most times I stay awake thinking about him.
His touch is totally different.it makes me feel different that sometimes I think I’m crazy.
I tried to fight this feeling for long but I guess I can’t fight love.I realized I’ve been dwelling on the past for too long rather than focusing on the future.
Kia made me realize all this.I guess this feeling is called love
“I love you Kia”I crushed my lips against his almost immediately.
His kissed back as my hands encircle his shoulders.His hands slip to my waist as he pulls me closer that alone made my whole body heat up automatically.
“I love you Nora”he said in between kisses.
“it feels like it’s a dream”
“Its not a dream Kia.I love you”
He smiles and take my lips I’m his again.
