I arrived early the following day since i left early the previous day, so i had a lot of work, i opened my boss’s office cleared his desk and took out the bin, then made him some coffee,when i was done went back to my desk and continued with updating his diary and setting up meetings for the day.. My phone kept on ringing and i would ignore it, few minutes later my boss walked in… Him:ohh wow you early today.

Him:(smile) I’m fine thanks.. So any messages? Me:(took the paper and gave it to him) Mr Modise cancelled your meeting he said something about family crisis.. Him:good,i wasn’t in the mood for golf anyway.

 

Me:or and you have a meeting with Mr Lekoa this afternoon..

 

Him:okay and you coming with me.

 

My phone rang again,i pressed ignore..

 

Him:you not picking because of me?

 

Me:no sir i just don’t want to talk to him..

 

Him :ohh i get it now, “man problems “.

Him:(opened his wallet and gave me his card) here pin 1352,ask one of the drivers to drive you i don’t want you to be arrested for driving without license, okay? Me:yes Sir…

 

Him:call me Sir one more time and you fired..

 

Me:whaat,you kidding right?

 

Him:call me Sir and see.. Go get the food at wimpy.

 

I left and he sat down,opened his laptop and started typing,…..i went to buy the

 

breakfast and came back,i served him,i went back to my desk and ate my food…

 

Around 12 he called me to his office and judging from his facial expression he was

 

not happy at all, and i got scared..

 

Me:you called me..

 

James:i just received a call from Aphiwe’s teacher that my daughter is still at school and I can’t leave now, i have a meeting in five minutes… Me:who’s supposed to fetch her?

 

James:the maid, for all i know she’s having sex with the garden boy in my house, (punched his desk) fu.ck…

 

Me:why don’t you call her mom to go get her?

 

James:what?her mom die Nokthula..

 

Me:oh my gosh I’m so sorry I didn’t know..

 

James:its okay..

 

Me:I can go fetch her

 

James:(smiled excitedly and hugged me) thank you, thank you so much, this means a lot to me, i owe you one..

James:okay,here’s the car keys, if you don’t find anyone at home, come back with her(gave me his card) get the both of you something to eat.. Me:okay..

 

James:and please drive safely, the are no cops during this time..

James:Nokthula please…

 

Me:relax we will be fine….

 

James:(smile) okay, okay go…

 

I left his office and head straight to the parking lot where his car was at, i got inside and started the ignition then drove off playing Toni Braxton, i love her, she’s my icon… I was happy that i was driving alone for the first time and the fact that i was driving an AMG was priceless, i felt like a million bucks…

Dan was sitting in his office trying to call Thula who was not answeing his call nor responding to his texts and that was stressing him out… Ty walked in.. Ty:ohh my goodness there you are..

 

Dee:(focused on his phone) i wish she can answer her phone, i just want to apologize to her..

 

Ty:have you realized that it’s 9:30 and you haven’t do your rounds.. Dee:mmmhh

 

Ty:did you hear what i just said to you or you thinking about Thula..

 

Dee:yeah,can you do it for me my friend please..

 

Ty:no

 

Dee:mxm so much for being my best friend…

 

Ty:iam your bestfriend but i will not let you lose focus, listen i know you hurting and all but right now you need to forget about Thula for just an hour and foucus to your patients, we don’t want to find ourselves sued for negligence, think about the innocent lives you risking here…

Dee:dont push it.. I’m gonna pick her up at work later then we gonna sort things out..
