Victor pov

 

I really hate d sight of him with Ife.

 

“Vic!” Esther called.

 

“Yes love,” I said and turn to her.

 

“What are you looking at?” she asked.

 

“Nothing,” I lied.

 

“Are u sure?” she asked.

 

“Yes, u know how much I love you right?” I asked.

 

“I know, and I love u too” she said and pecked me.

 

“OK,” I said and smiled.

 

I looked at Ife, she was still smiling with dat boy.

 

What is funny dat is making her smile.

 

I wish I could ask.

 

 

Ife pov

 

”Thank u so much for today,” I said packing my books into my bag.

 

“U really made me happy today,” I said and backed my bag.

 

“I wish today would never end,” I said while he smiled.

 

“What if I have an idea,” he said.

 

“Which is?” I asked.

 

“What if I walk you home?” he asked.

 

“Walk me home?” I asked.

 

“Yes, we get to know each other more,” he said.

 

“So what do you say?” he asked.

 

“No,” someone said behind me.

 

 

Victor pov

 

“Let’s go,” Esther said.

 

“Can u go home without me,” I said to Esther.

 

“OK no problem,” she said and pecked me.

 

“Bye” she said and left d class.

 

 

I went to Ife to walk her home.

 

I heard d new boy asking ife to walk her home.

 

“No,” I said and they turned to look at me.

 

“Vic,” Ife called me with her thin and tender voice.

 

“There is no reason for u to walk her home,” I said.

 

“Why?” both ife and d new boy asked.

 

“Bcoz”…….. ‘What should I say?’ I thought.

 

“She is………”

 

I can’t call her my girlfriend.

 

“Bcoz she is my friend,” I said scratching the back of my head.

 

“If she is ur friend then she is my crush,” he said.

 

“What?” both me and Ife asked.

 

“This jerk is really annoying’ I thought.

 

“Yes, am crushing on her” he said and Ife blushed.

 

“Am taking her with me,” he said and hold her hand.

 

“Am not going to allow her go” I said and held her other hand.

 

“U should let her go if u don’t want to see my wrath” I said but he smirked.

 

“What is going on?” Esther said and I quickly let go of IFE’s hand.

 

“Is dis d reason u asked me to go ahead?” Esther asked.

 

“Bcoz of her?” Esther said.

 

“No, of course not” I said.

 

“Let’s go junior” Ife said and left with him.

 

I can’t believe dat ife left with dat jerk.

 

“Vic!” Esther called.

 

“It is not what u think,” I said.

 

“Whatever,” she said and left while i followed her.

 

 

Ife pov

 

“Thank u for walking me home,” I said as we reached my house compound.

 

“Nice house” he said.

I entered d house as usual my parent were not around.

 

I went to my room and jumped on my bed.

 

I felt happy and sad.

 

Am happy dat someone considered me beautiful but also sad about Vic’s reaction to me dis morning.

 

It really hurt me.

 

Even after he did, I still like him even more than before.

I woke up at midnight, I could hear my parent arguing.

 

What is going on.

 

The noise was coming from there room so I went there.

 

I opened d door without knocking.

 

“What is going on?” I asked them.

 

“Darling what are u doing?” My mom asked.

 

“Are u going to answer me or should I leave,” I asked while they sighed.

 

“When u are ready to talk let me know,” I said and went to my room.

 

The next day in oba ( kings) school

 

 

Vic pov

 

I was really hurt by what Ife did, how could she leave with dat jerk.

 

It makes me mad and angry.

 

The two( junior and ife) entered the class together.

 

‘What are they doing together,’ I thought.

 

Our English teacher came in.

 

We all greeted him.

 

“Today, am going to group u into two”.

 

“U are going to work on a project, I will give each group d project to work on”.

 

“All girls will chose their partners,” he said.

 

“Let start from d big mole,” he said referring to ife and I felt like punching him.

 

“So big mole, who are u picking?” He asked while the class laughed except for me and the newcomer.

 

I smiled expecting her to pick me.

 

“Junior,” she said and my jaw dropped.

 

‘Did she just say junior?’ I thought.

 

I mean am here and she said junior.

 

“What the hell,” I said angrily while the whole class looked at me strangely.

 

I smiled and everyone removed there focus my way.

 

Esther picked me.

 

This matter kept baffling me, how can Ife choose junior instead of me.

 

What the hell is going on between them.

 

I look at their direction, they just kept smiling.

 

I hold my fist trying to control my anger.

 

I feel like bashing his stupid face.

 

Ife stood up from her seat and was on her way out when she slide bcos of the banana peel on the d floor.

 

But dat boy was able to catch her putting his hand on her waist.

 

His face and hers were only a few inches apart.

 

“I can’t handle dis again,” I said breathing heavily.

 

“Handle what?” Esther asked but I didn’t answer her as I stood up from my seat went to junior who has already helped ife gain balance.

 

I hold him by the collar and punched him twice while everyone gasped.

 

“Victor!” ife called.
