Isaac appeared right in the middle of the Reid’s palace and shouted. “Jeffrey!!”

He ignored the startled looks he was receiving as he awaited the presence of Jeffrey.

Jeffrey left what he was doing- hurrying the servants to clear up one of the vacant chambers for Isaac- and was at Isaac’s side immediately.

“You called me my Lord.” Jeffrey said with a slight bow of his head.

“Yes, I did. Take me to my chamber right away.” Isaac ordered and Jeffrey led the way to his new chamber, he hoped the servants would be through by the time they had reached the chamber.

Luckily for him, the servants were through before they got there. He opened the room door for Isaac who entered and nodded his head as he stared around, pleased by what he was seeing.

“Is there anything you want sir?” Jeffrey ask bowing his head in respect.

“Yes dimwit, what are the main essentials of a living creature like me?” Isaac demanded crossing his arms across his chest with a brow raised waiting for Jeffrey to answer.

“Food my Lord.” Jeffrey supplied the answer.

“Then get me food you idiot.” Isaac roared and Jeffrey was out of the chamber at lighting speed, heading towards the direction of the kitchen to get food for the hungry wolf.

Isaac went to sit down on the arranged bed first then stood up and started pacing around, in deep thoughts.

“Definitely, Mari is hiding something. She has no relatives then how come she now has one? I need to see who owns that voice.” He said aloud to himself and he

stopped moving, “Is either Mari knows the whereabouts of River or the feminine voice I heard has a connection to it. Either ways I will find out more about the niece of Mari somehow, I have this feeling that she will lead me to wherever River is hiding.”

The door to his room chamber opened and Jeffery with two servants, females, walked in. One of the servants was carrying a big golden jug with a golden smaller cup on a tray, while the other one was carrying a large tray of food. Bowing before Isaac before they kept the food on the bed and left almost immediately, leaving Jeffery behind.

“Is there anything else my Lord?” Jeffrey asked with a slight bow.

“No, if there is anything else I will yell out your name, out.” Isaac said and when Jeffery made to leave, he stopped him with a question. “What happened to Mari after I left?”

“A lot Sire, when she couldn’t find her Mate-”

Interrupting Jeffery. “I wasn’t asking about her personal life, I was asking when she helped the late Queen Elena give birth, what happened afterwards? Did you perhaps see if she left the palace with my brother’s child?”

“I don’t know my Lord, all I know is that King Reid didn’t allow anyone to see his child for reasons best known to him. But I can assure you my Lord, wherever River is he would know about the death of his father by now.”

“I warned the Kings and Queens of the supernatural, they will not defy an order, my order. So who will tell River about his father died, you?”

“Not me, my Lord, I wouldn’t dare breath a word to another soul, I love my life.” Jeffrey answered and continued. “King Reid once told me of a connection he had with his child, and that connection always alerts them whenever they are in trouble or wounded or even….dead. somehow, they will know if something has happened.” He added.

“Hmm, I see. Which means River may possess some powers like a true Millennium Wolf.” Isaac said he was very pleased by what he heard. “Thanks for giving me this tip, now I know River isn’t that powerless like we all had expected.” He added with a large smile, his one eye glow in red. “Have you told anyone about this?”

“No, you are the only one I am telling.” Jeffrey replied.

“Good, I want it to remain this way, no one apart from me should hear this. And if you remember any more words you and my late brother had, do let me know.”

“I will my Lord.” Jeffrey said and bow his head. “My Lord, what should we do with the dead body of the late King?” He asked.

“Bury him secretly.” Isaac answered and Jeffrey left the chamber.

Isaac went to the bed and ate his food.

Once he finished eating his food and drank water to quench his thirst, he placed the empty plates outside his room chamber, leaving it for any servants to come and take it.

“Time to sleep.” He muttered as he stretched out his arms and legs and proceeded to lie in the bed when a blue flame came out of nowhere and flew towards him.

Isaac was fast to dodge the blue flame and Luke made himself visible.

Isaac was surprised when he saw who attacked him, “Luke.”

Luke wasted no time to send another ball of fire towards Issac

Isaac deflated the blue flame with his own fire. And send a combination of his Chaos fire- which was black and red- towards Luke who wasn’t expecting it.

Chaos fire touched Luke in his chest and he vanished.

“Why will Luke want to kill me? And where has he been?” Isaac pondered in thought and look around him, not letting his guards down, in case of a surprise attack.

At that moment Jeffrey opened the door of his chamber and saw Isaac in a fighting stance, he ignored that and said what brought him back.

“King Reid’s body is gone, my Lord.”

“What?” Isaac said forgetting the fight he had with Luke a minute ago.

“I couldn’t find Reid’s body.” Jeffrey repeated again. “His body is gone and the guards stationed there said no one has entered the room my Lord.”

Reid’s body gone? How?

Isaac wondered.
