Kierra’s POV

 

 

I went inside my bathroom and have a cool bath after which I came out.

 

 

I applied some lotion on my body before opening my closet to search for what to wear.

 

 

I resort into wearing a baggy shirt and a bump shot.

 

 

After wearing the clothes I applied a little makeup on my face.

 

 

I put on a moist lip gloss after which I stare at myself on the mirror.

 

 

Beautiful.

 

 

I picked up my wallet and my phone before walking out of my room.

 

 

I climb downstairs and sat down with a glass of juice waiting for Sierra to come.

 

 

After what seems like forever she came and we headed to the mall.

 

 

“So what are you going to get him? Sierra asked and I looked away.

 

 

“I don’t know,am confused” I replied.

 

 

“Why are you confused? She asked raising her sunglass from her eyes.

 

 

“I think he won’t like what I might buy for him,he might not like it because I don’t know the specific thing he want” I replied.

 

 

“You know that different kind of people will come to his birthday party,different types of gifts and all,I mean he is Danny Marvin.

 

 

So I don’t expect you neither will he expect you to buy the mall for him” she said.

 

 

“So what’s your point? I asked confused at all the long talks.

 

 

 

“Buy him what you will love him to give you if it was your birthday party,buy him what your heart desires and not the common things you felt that it’s good to buy for a man” she said.

 

 

What my heart desires?

 

 

We walk inside the mall and Sierra went to the male section.

 

 

“Am getting Zach a shirt first” she said and I nodded.

 

 

I am happy for Sierra and also partially jealous of her.

 

 

She is leaving her best life now.

 

Everyone seems okay except me.

 

 

Mom stopped her hawking business and we furnished the house to taste since she doesn’t wanna leave.

 

 

I just feel like am different from everybody else.

 

Why am I always unhappy?

 

 

I have a decent job now,a paying one at that.

 

A house,a car,a comfortable life but something is missing.

 

 

Something that every woman long for.

 

 

I long for love and desires.

 

 

But the man that got me attracted,got me tied around his finger that even his breath makes my heart beat doesn’t want me.

 

 

But still he is the man am here for today,trying to buy something for,to impress him.

 

 

I walk over to the male section scanning through what to buy.

 

 

I saw a gray tie and pocked it up from the glass.

 

 

It look so pretty.

 

I pictured how Danny is going to look while he have it on.

 

 

I then picked a black shirt.

 

 

I walk over to the sale girl and ask her to take me to the jewelry section.

 

 

“Which type do you want ma’am?she asked

 

 

“Do you have something of the same brand like the same chain,watch,ear ring? I asked

 

 

“Yes ma’am we have”

 

 

“Please let me see it”

 

 

She brought out two set and I checked it out.

 

 

I choose the one I like and she keep the second one.

 

 

“I want the letter DM to be imprint on the necklace can you do that? I asked

 

 

“Yes ma’am,just give me your time” she said and left.

 

I looked at my back and saw a toothbrush.

 

I bought two set and place it inside the shopping basket.

 

 

“You are on a shopping spree sister,what are you doing with all this? Sierra asked and I smiled.

 

 

“Am just doing what I felt like doing” I replied.

 

 

The sale girl brought the chain and I checked it out.

 

 

“Wow! Am jealous,Danny will be so happy when he sees it” she said.

 

 

“I hope so”

 

 

“Come let’s go get our dress for tonight” she said and dragged me to the female classic section.

 

 

After about an hour of choosing dresses we settle for a gown.

 

 

The same design but different color.

 

 

Sierra pick an onion pink gown while I picks the black one.

 

 

We left the mall after paying our bills.

 

 

“Damn it Kierra did you know just how much you spent in the mall? Sierra asked.

 

 

“Two hundred and fifty thousand dollars” I replied.

 

 

“Twice your salary”

 

“He’s worth it” I said and we parted.

 

 

Next day

 

 

The night was fast approaching and I started dressing up.

 

 

Before 7:30pm I was through.

 

 

I step inside my car wearing my black gown,my hair into a curl and let it loose on my shoulder.

 

 

I rove straight to Danny house and I must say that I was a little late.

 

 

I walk inside the house walking slowly.

 

 

Immediately I get to the garden,damn it wasn’t a small party like I thought.

 

 

“Hey sis”

 

I turned by back to see Sierra on her onion pink gown,her hair done straight she look so pretty.

 

 

We hugged each other and I hugged Zach too.

 

 

“You look stunning” Zach complement.

 

 

“Well thank you” I said with a smile.

 

 

“Where is Danny? I asked looking around.

 

 

“There” I followed the trace of Zach’s finger and saw Danny walking towards us.

 

“You look beautiful sweetheart” he said and my face flushed.

 

 

He calls me beautiful and sweetheart!

 

 

What more can I ask for?

 

 

“Happy birthday Danny” I said and he smile while I hand over the big box to him.

 

 

“All this? I wonder what’s in there” he said and chuckle.

 

 

“Thank you Kierra” he said.

 

 

“Uncle D” a young teenage girl called out approaching us.

 

 

Her eyes never left mine.

 

 

“You both are so compatible” she said and I blushed.

 

 

“Come on Melanie,don’t make Kierra uncomfortable” Danny said.

 

 

“You both are beautifully sexy” she said pointing at Sierra and I.

 

 

“Wow! Thank you babe” Sierra said and she smiled.

 

 

“You see I like you Miss and if you don’t mind can you give my uncle a birthday kiss? She said to me.

 

 

“What!! Danny screamed.
