Episode 19

 

Danny’s POV

 

I watch her twitched her lips in displease but I didn’t care.

 

“So what do you say sweetheart? I asked with a smirk.

 

 

“Challenge accepted” she said and smile

 

“Am going to try my best Danny because my feelings for you are real and if I didn’t win I will leave your life for good” she added

 

“Good! Now get set” I said as we both position ourselves inside the pool.

 

“Go! I said and she started swimming while i stand still watching her swim .

 

I can’t gold my smile,she look like a lizard battling with a crocodile.

 

After giving her enough space ,I dive inside the water and followed suit.

 

Sometimes I reduce my pace for her to gain more space.

 

I myself don’t know what is going on with me,I don’t really know my mind is completely blank.

 

The look on her face when I told her the deal,she was petrified or should I say disappointed.

 

I don’t know why am getting this attracted to her this past few days,I just want to see her everytime which is most likely not my character.

 

Neither do I wanna believe that am in love with her.

 

How is that possible?

 

“I won! Ha ha ha I really won!” Her voice jotted me back.

 

I look back and saw that she really has surpass me,well that was what I wanted though.

 

I swim back to her as smile plastered on her face.

 

“I won Danny,we can be friends now,I won the challenge” she said happily and I didnt know when I returned the smile.

 

“What? You….you just smiled” she asked and I keep back a straight cold face.

 

“Where? No I didn’t” I replied

 

“You did,I saw it” she insisted

 

“Suit yourself then” I said and walk out of the pool.

 

I dried my body and sat down waiting for her to come out.

 

She came out of the pool her wet hair dripping down to her shoulder.

 

She look sexy.

 

Damn am I really thinking of her like this?

 

She pick up a towel and clean herself up.

 

I couldn’t take my eyes off her as she clean her hair down to her neck.

 

“Are we friends now? She asked

 

“I don’t go back on my words Kierra, we are friends now” I said and she jump and sat down next to me her hand holding mine tightly.

 

Kierra’s POV

 

I held his hand tightly and smile,I don’t think have had such a friendly connection with Danny before.

 

This feels so good and encouraging,am making a progress how I wish he said we could be lovers instead.

 

“You are squeezing my hand too much” he complained and I quickly release my hand from his.

 

“I am sorry Danny” I apologized quietly and he tapped my forehead with his hand.

 

“Why are you so cute? He asked to my surprise

 

 

“Huh? What did you just said? I asked in order to be sure but he just smiled and shrugged.

 

He pick up the jug filled with strawberry Juice and pour inside two glasses.

 

He handed one to me and took the other.

 

I sip quietly stealing glances at him as I do so.

 

Am really going crazy.

 

After finishing my glass and drop it he pour me another.

 

“You should drink more since it is your favorite” he said sweetly which melt my fu.cking heart.

 

“Thank you” I said and picked up the glass of Juice.

 

The sun was coming out already and Danny stood up to leave.

 

“Don’t leave” I begged

 

“Am not leaving yet” he said and smile before sitting down.

 

“Tell me Kierra, why did you choose this part? He asked

 

I couldn’t say anything as I keep staring at him tongue tied.

 

“Okay in get it,you still can’t bring yourself to share things with me I am your friend remember? He said and I nodded

 

“So friends don’t keep secrets,tell me everything Kierra, I may be of help” he said.

 

There is this sincerity in his eyes which keep pushing me to speak up.

 

“I choose it in other to save my sister” I replied .

 

“Seriously?

 

“Yes”

 

“You’ve got a kind heart Kierra,am smitten by you.

 

But you shouldn’t have choose being a stripper” he said with a look of disgust.

 

“Seriously I can’t believe that am sitting here with you” he said and sigh.

 

We sat down there quietly with communicating,the atmosphere was getting bored when I decided to break it by being funny.

 

“Look you got a bug on your nose” I said feigning serious.

 

“What! Really? He asked as he stood up totally terrified.

 

“Haaaaaa” he shouted in frustration and I started laughing.

 

He looks more handsome while scared.

 

“It is a joke Danny ha ha ha, don’t you know what a joke is? I asks laughing my ass out.

 

He stood there watching me as if have gone crazy.

 

“Are you crazy? You scared the hell outta me just now” he yelled and I kept quiet.

 

Is he mad at me?

 

Am just trying to be close to him.

 

“Am sorry” I said and lower my head.

 

He patted my back gently and muttered some words which I couldn’t comprehend.

 

“I will be in my room now” he said and walk away while I keep staring at his retreating figure.

 

I stayed up for some minutes before heading inside too.

 

I got in and headed to my room, got into the shower and took a cool bath.

 

Seeing Danny smile at me today is really amazing.

 

I wish he can look at me in the eyes one day and say.

 

‘Kierra Brown I love you’

 

That day will be one of my best so far.

 

After bathing I went back to my room and wore a short gown,pack my hair into a bun and apply body spray on.

 

I went to the kitchen after that to prepare snacks.

 

I was so engross in making something for us when a hand tapped my back.

 

I turned swiftly to see Danny smiling at me.

 

“You look pretty friend” he compliment.

 

“Thank you” I said shyly.

 

“What are you making?

 

“Snacks” I replied

 

“Okay,I will be in the sitting room” he said and turned to leave.

 

“Danny” I called

 

“Yes”

 

“I…..I..thank you for being my friend” I said but he just smiled and walk away
