Violet’s POV

 

 

“Dylan! What are you doing here? ” I stuttered immediately pulling away from Kyle. It wasn’t a good idea and Kyle ended up helping me out of the pool.

 

 

“Hey cuz. What’s with the visit? ” Kyle asked once we were both out.

 

 

“I just came to pay Violet a visit. What are you doing here?”

 

 

“Well… ”

 

 

“Nothing! He wasn’t doing anything. We weren’t doing anything! ” I butted in nervously so Dylan wouldn’t misunderstand the situation.

 

 

“Ookay? I was just asking why he was here in the first place. ”

 

“I just came to pay Violet a visit. ”

 

 

“Really? ”

 

 

“Yeah… ”

 

 

“But he’s on his way home right Kyle? ” I asked staring at Kyle almost daring him to deny.

 

 

“Yeah right. I’ll get changed now. ” He said grabbing his clothes and heading back inside but not before giving me a “ You’re weird ” look.

 

 

Once he was gone, only Dylan and I were left.

 

 

“Vi, are you sure you’re okay? ” He asked his tone laced with concern.

 

 

“Yeah I’m alright. Why did you come here in the first place? ”

 

 

“Just to pay you a visit. Nothing much. ”

 

 

“Okay then. Shall we? ” I asked gesturing towards the house.

 

 

“We shall. ” I replied with a smile.

“Hey baby. ” Someone said behind me interrupting my talk with Anna.

 

 

Groaning, I turned around to face him.

 

 

“What is it this time Kyle? You’re no longer bound to me so why is it so damn hard for you to freaking leave me alone!? ” I yelled obviously

 

 

frustrated but Kyle continued smirking as though my words had no effect on him.

 

 

“Well good morning to you too. ”

 

 

“It used to be a good morning until you came along. ” I said with a sigh just as the teacher came in.

 

 

Class started and I was really focused because it was one of my favorite subjects, History and we were talking about the Rwandan Genocide. All my concentration was disrupted when Kyle started poking me in my back while calling my name.

 

 

“Violet. Violet. Violet. Violet. ” He said with every poke.

 

 

I ignored him until it became unbearable.

 

 

“What the fu.ck is wrong with you Kyle? Why is it so damn hard for you to leave me the hell alone? I’m not interested in you. Is that so hard to believe? Yeah you’ve fu.cked half the girls in this school. Do I look as stupid or harebrained as them? I…. ”

 

 

“Miss Hill! ” The teacher yelled interrupting my tirade thereby bringing me back to reality.

 

 

“What was that all about? Detention for a week. ”

 

 

I sighed before bowing down my head as she continued teaching.

 

 

Class was over before I knew it and I was out before Kyle could stop me.

 

I’d gotten detention one other time and it’d been because of Aaron just like

 

this one was caused by Kyle. Does that mean that…..

 

 

Nope. It has to be a coincidence.

 

 

Anyways I opened my locker to retrieve my book for the next class when all of a sudden, as soon as I opened it, a large rush of water washed over me, pushing me down in the process. It was as though someone stuck a hose into my locker.

 

 

When the water finally stopped flowing, I stood to examine the damage. Not only was I soaking wet, all my books and other items in my locker were drenched. Then in the midst of all the damage, I saw something that caught my eye.

 

 

It was a note that was surprisingly still dry. I carefully picked it up and there written in menacing red block words were the words “STAY AWAY FROM KYLE!!! ”
