I know nothing about bomb just the one I’ve watched in movies.

 

 

 

joseph you need to go it’s almost time” she said and I checked it and see that it’s remaining three and half minute.

 

 

 

I’m sorry nessa” I said as I move away from her and went out of the stadium.

 

 

 

Joseph, how does it look?….I’ve called some people they will be here very soon” Mrs Richards asked.

 

 

 

I’m sorry ma……we are out of time…..I don’t think they can make it” I said to her.

 

 

 

Noo!…..not my daughter” Mrs said running towards the stadium but some people stopped her.

 

 

 

I’m sorry, we can’t let you” one of the men said.

 

that’s my daughter in there” she shouted.

 

sorry” the man said.

 

 

 

please Joseph…..please save my sister….please Bro Joseph….please don’t let her die” Paulina and Paul begged.

 

 

 

” please Joseph” Katie also begged and everyone’s attention is now on me.

 

 

 

I think about it and I decided to do the impossible that I never thought I will be doing in my lifetime.

 

 

 

I Walked into the stadium towards Vanessa to trade my life for hers.

 

 

 

what are you doing back here?….are you crazy……it’s almost time” Vanessa shouted and I looked at the time and see that one minuted left.

 

 

 

this is what we are going to do” I said.

 

what are you trying do?” Vanessa asked.

 

you are going to move your leg slowly while I replace mine with yours” I said.

 

 

 

no you can’t do that” she said.

 

just shut up…….we don’t have much time” I said then placed my leg beside hers then moved it slowly till it is replaced completely.

 

 

 

Joseph ” she called.

 

now run……run…. Run Vanessa” I shouted as I noticed that it it’s in 25s.

 

 

 

Vanessa ran out of the stadium as everyone await the explosion, then as the timing remain 10s I closed my eyes.

 

 

 

I’m sorry mama” I said then the timer reach 5…4…3..2…1 and the next thing.

 

aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh” I screamed out loudly as I woke up.

 

 

 

oh my God, it’s a dream, it’s a dream……thank God it’s a dream” I said as I breathe heavily.

 

 

I know it can’t be real how can I sacrifice my life like that, when mama Joseph is in the village praying for me, when I’m Jesus.

 

 

 

Me I cannot die ooo, I just thank God that it’s a dream, all I need to do right now is to find a way to make sure no one gets killed.

 

 

 

I know there’s nothing I can do to prevent the explosion but I know I can prevent people from die especially this family.

 

 

 

I look at the time and realised that it’s after four already in the morning, there’s only one way to prevent death from happening which is to get to the stadium before anyone I arrived.

 

 

 

I stood up from my bed then find a cloth then put it on, as I was wearing the cloth Mr and Mrs Richards entered including Vanessa.

 

 

 

Joseph, what happened?……we heard your scream” Mrs Richards asked.

 

I had another dream” I said and they were surprised.

 

 

 

OH MY GOD, it’s happening again right?” Mr Richards asked and I nodded affirmative.

 

where?” Vanessa asked and I remember exactly what happened.

 

 

 

I need to get to the stadium as soon as possible?” I said.

 

which stadium? ” Mr Richards asked.

 

 

 

the same one the inter school competition will hold, today” I said.

 

oh my God, a lot of people is going to be there” Mrs Richards said.

 

 

 

yeah, which is why I need to get there immediately……and please don’t let the kids out of the house, vanessa please don’t go anywhere ” I said and Vanessa nodded.

 

 

the estate gate won’t open until 5am, so we can’t take the car, you can’t even see cab at this time” Mr Richards said.

 

 

 

then I have no choice than to Run” I said.

 

But I can’t run” Mr Richards said.

 

 

 

I will run by myself…..you can just meet me there after 5 pass” I said then went out of the room then they followed me to the parlour.

 

 

 

please be careful” Mrs Richards said.

 

yes ma” I said then went out.

 

 

 

As I got out of our house and ran down to the estate main entrance then the security stopped me.

 

 

 

joseph, where are you going this early morning ?” the guard asked.

 

I need to go out, it’s very urgent” I said.

 

 

 

is everything alright?” he asked.

 

all is well but I really need to go now” I said then he opened the gate for me and I ran off.

 

 

 

Just like Mr Richards said no cab is seen around which lead me to run, I ran for about half an hour then I rested.

 

 

 

I walked for some minutes then continue running after a while I saw a commercial bus heading towards the stadium then I boarded it.

 

 

 

Not long after the bus stopped right in front of the stadium and I got down after paying him.

 

 

 

I went to the stadium and realised that it hasn’t been open, it’s still locked.

 

I sat in front of the stadium and rested then planned to prevent anyone from entering.

 

 

 

At about 5;30am the security security guard of the stadium arrived and was about to unlock the lock at the gate and I stopped him.

 

 

 

wait…wait…..you can’t unlock it” I said.

 

who are you?…..and what are you doing here?” the guard asked.

 

 

 

my name is Joseph” I said.

 

okay Joseph……why don’t you want me to open the stadium?” he said.

 

 

 

if you open this stadium a lot of people will die” I said and he was confused.

 

what do you mean?” he asked.

 

 

 

there’s a bomb planted in there, which is explode” I said and the man was shocked.

 

a bomb?….who planted it?…..and how do you know about it?” the man asked.

 

 

 

I don’t know who planted it” I said.

 

then how do you know there’s bomb in there? ” he asked.

 

 

 

I had a dream that a bomb is inside” I said and the man looked at me and hissed.

 

 

 

are you crazy?…..do you think I have the time to be listening to the rubbish coming out of your mouth” the guard said.

 

 

 

no!……you don’t understand…..my dream always come to pass” I said.

 

 

 

shut up…..Just shut up I don’t have time for all this…….there are schools coming here for a competition and they will be arriving any minute from now” the guard said.

 

I know but please listen to me….there’s bomb in that place” I said.

 

 

 

in all my years of working in this place I’ve never heard about something like that before so it’s impossible” the man said.

 

 

 

I’m telling the truth” I said

 

No you listen to me….. If you don’t get out of here I will throw you out” the guard said.

 

 

 

please believe me” I said to him then he grabbed me and push me down to the floor.

 

 

 

Since this man won’t listen to me I have to stop him from opening the gate, I ran towards him and grabbed the key away from him and throw it away.

 

 

 

” are you crazy?” the man said angrily then started punching me but I don’t mind at all.

 

 

 

Then he stopped and went to look for the key, I stand at the gate and block the lock to prevent him from unlocking it.

 

 

 

Get out of my way” he said as he came back with the key.

 

you don’t listen there’s bomb inside…..go and call the police” I said.

 

 

 

you dis boy….dey send you?…..you wan make I lose my job?” the man said.

 

call the police” I said to him.

 

 

 

The man got more angrier and started beating me but I don’t mind at all, he tried to pull me away from the gate but I held unto it tightly.

 

 

 

At about 6:00 some other guard came and the first guard explained to them the matter.

 

 

They didn’t hear any explanation from me as well and they started beating me and pulling me away from the gate but I’m not ready to give up.

 

 

 

They hit me with all kinds of weapon but I’m not ready to leave the gate, they even thought I’m a mad man which more reason they don’t believe me at.

 

 

 

Some minutes after students from different schools are arriving in their school bus and the place is getting filled up, some are even recording it.

 

 

 

Not long after our school also arrived but none of them can enter, the security didn’t get tired of beating me as well even they are wondering how I can be that strong.

 

 

 

As The coach for our school recognizes me, he stopped them from beating me.

 

 

 

Then came to me and asked what the matter is and I explained to him exactly as I explained to them but he also didn’t believe me.

 

 

 

He begged me to leave the gate and I also told him to call the police. Mr Richards then arrived and ran towards me.

 

 

 

oh my God, joseph……your face” he said as he see me.

 

Mr Richards, are you sure everything is alright with this boy?” the coach asked.

 

 

 

of course he’s perfectly okay and if he say there’s a bomb in there then there’s definitely a bomb” he said and everyone gasped.

 

 

 

so you believe his dream about the bomb” the coach said.

 

 

 

yes I do, cause all of his dream always come to pass and I’ve witnessed it, so call the police” Mr Richards said.

 

 

 

 

” okay then ” the coach said.

 

 

this is a family Madness, I can’t believe he also buy the ‘I see it for dream’ drama” one of the guards said.

 

 

 

you think this is madness…..i will show you the meaning of madness” Mr Richards said.

 

 

 

I’m sorry I’m late…..my car develop a faulty which is why……. Who did this to you?” he asked and I pointed at guards.

 

 

 

I refused to leave the gate and they did this to me” I said.

 

“you all will regret this…..i will make sure of that” Mr Richards said.

 

 

 

” na lie” one of the guard said.

 

We waited for the police to arrive then then after a while I heard their car siren.

 

 

 

They parked their car and seven officer came down and move towards the gate and they explained the situation to them.

 

 

 

who did this to you?” one of the officers asked and I pointed at the guards.

 

 

 

officers, arrest those four guard” the man said and the other officer went to arrest them.

 

 

 

No, you can’t” A man shouter as he got out of his jeep.

 

who are you?” the head officer asked.

 

 

 

I’m the owner of the stadium and they are to protect the stadium” the man said.

 

don’t you see how they beat up a boy?” the officer asked.

 

 

 

they are only doing there job, they called me about the situation and I told them to get him away, how can a boy come from no where and ruin my place just because of a mere dream” the man said.

 

 

but the first thing they are supposed to do is to call the police to come and check it out, the boy is trying to protect lots of people” the officer said.

 

 

 

your men will have to be arrested for what they did to the boy” the officer added.

 

only if you find the bomb just as he claimed” the man said.

 

 

 

sorry boy, what’s your name?” the officer asked.

 

Joseph” I replied.

 

 

 

Good Joseph, we are the bomb squad and you will leave the gate now and we the police will have to find where the bomb is….. Okay” the officer said.

 

 

 

okay” I replied then left the gate.

 

 

 

I looked around to the place crowded with people everywhere with their phone recording everything,the guard unlock the gate then opened it.

 

 

 

Joseph, you will have to come with us and tell us exactly where the bomb is” the officer said.

 

 

 

No!……i don’t think that’s a good idea…..it’s dangerous I think he’s done his part” Mr Richards said.

 

 

 

Don’t worry sir, he will fine” the officer assured.

 

No I can’t let him” Mr Richards said.

 

 

 

he will be fine, just for him to show us the spot that’s all” the officer said.

 

c’mon Joseph” he said and I followed.

 

 

 

oh my God, this is happening in real life oo” I thought.

 

 

 

 

I entered the stadium and take my step one after the other till we reached the spot I saw in my dream.

 

 

 

” this is the place” I said and pointed.

 

 

 

The officer carefully checked the place to confirm if there’s a bomb and after a while they said they found nothing.

 

 

 

but that’s the place I saw in my dream” I said.

 

well obviously there’s nothing here” the officer said.

 

 

 

we just wasted our time believing a stupid dream” another officer said.

 

this has never happened before” I said.

 

 

 

Then the first guard gave me slap on my head.

 

you are a stupid boy……infact you are a useless boy” the man said.

 

 

 

you are a bad market” he said as he go into the stadium then suddenly he stopped. Then we heard the timing sound which means he just stepped on a bomb.

 

 

oh my God, there’s a bomb” the officer said.

 

aaaaahhhhh…….bomb dey here oooo” the guard shouted in fear.

 

 

 

don’t…..don’t move, please don’t move” the officer shouted.

 

BOOMMB” I shouted and the people at the gate ran away.

 

 

 

I started running out and the next thing I heard is

 

“KaaaaaaBoooooooooooooooooooom” I didn’t reached the gate before the explosion reached me which sent me away and I hit the ground so hard.

 

 

 

I couldn’t see anything, my head hurts like hell and I can feel my head bleeding, I couldn’t stand up either cause I can’t feel my hand and my leg, I lay down there motionless in excruciating pain.

 

 

 

I really wish this is a dream but unfortunately it’s not.
