The silence that took over the office where the young man called Derrick and Mr Luke and other people were was just indescribable. Derrick looked at the old man again to be sure if it’s still him or someone looks like him.

“Young man who are you “? Mr Luke asked Derrick who thought of the right answer to give.

“Sir it’s like I met you somewhere, you had an accident few days back ” he added while Mr Luke held his forehead in shock.

“Oh Christ ! I’ve been looking for you everywhere ” Mr Luke said leaving everyone in darkness including Mr Eric who didn’t get to know how his son met with the man he is owing.

“Dad can you please tell me what is happening here “? Handsome asked as the father looked down before explaining

“Son, this is the boy I told you about, he helped me in the car accident even without knowing me ” Mr Luke added as tears were already formed, Handsome looked at Derrick in an appreciation way.

“Dude, I owe you a lot for saving my father ” he said and embrace him while Derrick looked at his lost father who sat like an outscast.

“Dad what are doing here? Thought Mom said you were kidnapped “? Derrick asked spreading his hands wide in the air, Mr Eric looked at Mr Luke in the eye that says “That question is for you ”

While Mr Luke cleared his throat after the silence was too much in the room.

“You see boy, your father seated here I brought him here ” he paused and began again while Derrick payed close attention to him.

During the time his business wanted to collapse, that was when you wreck not even born, he came to me begging and crying for me to help him with 10 million naira to start up his business again, he promised to pay me back in two months, he kept coming up with excuses after every two months I will ask him of my money till he now as I’m speaking he has not paid back my money” Mr Luke said while the house was so silent after the explanation Mr Luke gave leaving Derrick in a confused state thinking of how he’s going to pay back such ammount of money, Mr Eric looked down in shame.Kindly share out stories from generalloaded.com using the floating social media icon buttons on the bottom of the screen

“So….sir. .. Is that why you brought him here “? Derrick asked

“I planned to sue him to court, because what he did was wickedness even before he was barned from doing any other business ” Mr Luke explained.

“Dad? Handsome called

Son, don’t say anything yet just relax. Derrick I owe you a lot just like my son said for saving my life, for that your father will no longer pay the money again and as for you,… ” he paused looking at him before he continued

“Get the car ready and everything we are moving ” Mr Luke said to his men who carried out the order with immediate effect setting everything in place.

Back to Mr Ellison house were everyone were thrown into the state of confusion, the maids were not as busy as before including the guards since Mrs Ellison hardly stays at home, Mike too wasn’t home as he went to check up on Patricia to see how she’s responding to treatment. Linda was so restless as she was seen standing at a corner like an orphan who just loose the mother, just then a car horn was heard from outside, since they didn’t expect any visitor since their master and mistress is not home including Mike the only son, the security rushed to the gate pushing it open to behold their master Mr Ellison standing outside, what a surprise, he didn’t even tell anyone that he will be back to the house very soon.

“Welcome sir ” the security bowed as Mr Ellison walked in, seeing him the other maids who sat like orphans hurriedly resume duty rushing to one thing or the other just to keep themselves busy, Mr Ellison walked into the main building after

exchanging pleasantries from the maids, entering the house it was so deserted, his wife was not in sight including Michael.

He summoned everyone immediately asking for the whereabouts of his family which Linda explained to him what happened and how Patricia is suffering in the hospital, hearing the news got the old man leg to be shaking, without time wastage he ordered for his car to be brought out, he was boiling in anger especially hearing that the wife had not for one day visited the girl she wounded, like a flash the car was set to be moved.

I knew something was wrong somewhere while I was in Dubai, my wife kept deceiving all this while that the family was okay but deep down I had some feelings that things were not right, I prepared to leave the country back to my family without informing any of them just to be sure of what my eyes will behold, finally my guess was right when I returned back to see my family deserted and my wife not in sight.

Back to Ana’s room where she sat thinking of how to see Derrick before its too late, she has been feeling something like a bond between the two of them that always triggered her that Derrick has a strong connection in her heart, Rose entered the room without knocking, seeing her in such mode made everything clear to her that it’s about Derrick.

“Hey girlie Derrick again “? She asked as Ana startled

“Yeah, it’s obvious I’m dying for him ” she added as Rose smiled

“Heading somewhere? Ana asked the cute looking Rose who was looking so charming.

“Yeah just want to see a friend, will you tag along “?

“Yeah sure ” she added walking to her wardrobe hoping to see Derrick in the way.

Mr Ellison was set to move to the hospital when the gate rolled open and Rose walked in follwed by Ana. Mr Ellison looked at then wondering who they are looking for.

“Good afternoon sir ” Rose greeted while Ana admired the astonished building

“Yes welcome ” he replied in a hurry

“Please sir is Patricia around, I want to see her ” she added while Mr Ellison looked at her

“Who is Patricia to you “? He asked

“An old time friend ” she replied while Ana stood behind without saying anything

“If you wish to see her just follow me ” Mr Ellison said while Rose didn’t buy the idea but later accepted after being told about Patricia’s condition.

They hooped into the car and zoomed off while Amanda was shaking seeing the angry look on Mr Ellison face.

Back to that hospital where Patricia laid facing the ceiling ,Micheal sat next to her watching her like a baby, just then Patricia started vibrating and shaking seriously, the beeping sound of the machines connected to her body could be clearly heard, Mike stood up in alert shaking her body but she kept vibrating showing no sign of calming down. Mike in alert and confused state shout out the doctor’s name but all to no avial as no one heard him, he rushed out of the ward in speed trying to reach the doctor but on getting to the bigger room what he saw shock him. Looking at his left handside, there came Mr Luke, Derrick, Handsome, Mr Eric and some other men dressed in black. Looking at his right hand side, he saw his father Mr Ellison, Ana and Rose while he was in the middle. Seriously none of them understood what was happening, Mr Ellison was confused, like the other team and Mike himself forgetting about Patricia’s condition. .
