We all sat in the waiting room as we waited for the doctor to come back

 

 

 

What is really wrong with Skyler is she sick or is there something else?

 

“Promzy, what is wrong with Skyler I asked in a stern voice”

 

 

 

Uhmm ray she’s having a high fever, she’s bee feeling feverish for a while now..

 

 

 

“That’s why she fainted, nothing is wrong with her okay? She’s gonna be fine” promzy said

 

 

 

Oh okay now I feel much relieved, I thought it was something else

 

 

 

The doctor came him and told us that Skyler is awake and we can see her

 

 

 

While my mom followed the doctor into his office to get some drugs for Skyler

 

 

 

Jenny and the rest people pushed me inside Skyler room in the hospital while they locked the door from behind

 

 

 

Skyler laid on her bed with a little smile on her cheeks, she still looks beautiful as ever but a little pale.

 

 

 

I touched her forehead to check if the fever has gone away, yea her body temperature is back to normal

 

 

 

But her smiles weren’t genuine, uhmm like Shea forcing herself to smile

 

 

 

“Are you okay now”? I asked with a smile

 

 

 

“Yesss, am fine the doctor says I can go home in the next five minutes” Skyler said “Are you sure you are okay now? I asked again”

 

 

“Yea yea, I only fainted right? Its no big deal

 

 

 

Skyler POV

 

 

 

I know ray wants to say something, I know what he wants to say but for me to protect him

 

 

 

I just can’t accept him, he’s gonna get hurt again, his mom is a good lady

 

 

 

She’s gonna find someone else for him, I still don’t know my fate yet

 

 

 

Am going for a kidney transplant next week Monday, jeez its still far tho

 

 

 

But for the mean time, I just wanna have fun and live my life real good

 

 

 

Just help me up from this bed I said staring at ray

 

 

 

He held my waist as he raised me up from the bed gently, I managed to stand on my feet

 

 

 

He squatted before me as he signalled for me to get on his back

 

 

 

Well, no offence I climbed on his lack as he carried me outside the hospital ward

 

 

 

We all walked towards the car happily but my heart actually bleeds right now

 

 

 

We got to the house, rays house of course, we started sharing jokes

 

 

 

The house was really fun like nothing ever Happend

 

 

 

I met rays mom in the kitchen

 

 

 

I caughed to signal her that I wanted to talk….

 

Rays mom : jeez Skyler wat are you doing here?

 

You should be resting you know right?

 

 

 

Skyler: uhmm look am really tired if covering up the tears

 

 

 

I know you don’t want me to be with ray because am sick, and afraid I might leave ray and hurt him

 

 

 

I have concluded my feelings for him, they are going to fade away gently

 

 

 

You are a good and perfect mother anybody will wish for yeah

 

 

 

Thanks for your love care and attention, you should find ray a good girl

Rays mom: yea, I know, I have found a good girl for my son

 

 

 

And that person is Skyler, look I don’t care what your condition is right now, I know you are going to be fine

Skyler: seriously, I hugged her so tight as tears flowed from our eyes

We disengaged from the hug as my face beamed up with a huge smile

 

 

 

I really wanna listen to music right now, how about I borrow rays headset

 

 

 

I ran upstairs still smiling, I barged into rays room and found his using the headset

 

 

 

He removed it from his ears and stood up from his chair, he walked towards me

 

 

 

He was having a crazy smile on his lips, he door closed by itself

 

 

 

I stepped backward slowly till I got to the door

 

 

 

I tried to push him away but he held my hands tightly as he tied them behind my back

 

 

 

He pecked my forehead as I was left speechless
