“Susan’s POV*
I’m so hurt to see you in this condition Nuel.. you never told me anything about this”.
“You were so busy with your problems you didn’t notice. I was always there to help you out and then you didn’t do close to that”. She said with tears in her eyes. “Calm down my dear, don’t cry. But you and I know that the only reason you knew about my problem was because I told you about them,you never opened up to me and you were so good at pretending to be happy. How could anyone possibly notice!” I said
“You’re right though, I’m sorry for not trusting you enough to confide in you after you always told me your problems”
“It’s okay my dear,at least I know now and I’m here to help you in any way okay?” I said looking at my watch. It was 12 already and I had to go meet Damien who had pleaded for us to meet today.
“I’ll be going to meet Damien today,he pleaded with me this morning to meet him” I told Nuel
“When will you tell him the truth Susan? This has been 21 years now and you’re still keeping this inside you. If everyone finds out the wrong way,it won’t be good” Nuel advised.
“Well…. that’s part of the reason I agreed to meet him. Maybe if I let him know the
truth it’ll be easier to let my kids know too.”
“Fine then,put yourself together. You can do it alright?”
“Yeah,I can. Thanks dear” I said breathing in. I stood up to leave and gave her a hug. I got into my car and headed for the coffee shop.
*Stephanie’s POV*
Jeffrey paid me a surprise visit and well that was perfect as I was already bored doing nothing at home.
We talked for a while and he asked after Jessica and her family. Truth be told,she and I had been having problems lately, I’ve been hurting and she is too so it’s understandable we giving each other space but Jeff encouraged me to try checking up on her sometimes.
“Wow,these pictures are so fine! You had nice pictures of us and kept it to yourself? You selfie person!” I said running my hands through his hair. The pictures were so fine so I asked him to send it to me too.
“Who’s this? He looks older and he’s got a striking resemblance with you..” I said
covering my mouth laughing
“Yes! He’s my dad!” He answered
We both laughed and then he continued sending me the pictures.
*Jessica’s POV*
Okay,maybe I was a little too harsh with Steph. She tried her best and I was pushing her away, I’ll head over to hers and apologize. ****
“Oh babe! You don’t have enough storage space in your phone, you’ve got to delete some files” Jeff said.
“Of course I’m deleting files,our pictures over everything” I said and we both laughed.
I stumbled on a voice recording, what’s this. I played it but no noise was heard. “That’s nothing, delete it” Jeff said
I was about tapping the delete button when we both heard a voice.
“No! Please don’t do this! Pleeeeasee!! Don’t touch me!!! Help! Some one help me! Please!! Frrrr…Frrrreee!!” It was Annabel’s. She couldn’t complete the statement and then started coughing so hard,like though she was struggling to breathe in water.
“Oh my God!” I said with tears rolling down my eyes.
“Jeff! That was Annabel! She was…… She was murdered Jeff…my Anna was
murdered..!” I said shouting and crying. I fell to the floor and Jeff caught me. I cried in his arms and we both consoled each other.
“How did you even get that Steph?” He asked wiping his eyes
“I don’t know but one thing am sure of is that I didn’t hang up the call and maybe I tapped the record button by mistake and then…”
“It’s okay babe..its fine. Please stop crying” Jeff said hugging me.
“We need to get her Justice babe! She made me promise her that and I definitely will!”
We listened to it again and that was when we heard it all clearly.
“Fred!!!” I screamed
“I’m not going to spare that mothefu.cker! That son of a bitch!!! Of course it was
him! Why didn’t I even know this! He impregnated her and killed her to keep his
secrets” I said wiping my tears
“Impregnated her?” Jeff asked
Yeah! No one knew that Fred was the father of Annabel’s child except me and her mom probably. I explained everything to Jeff and he understood me.
“Babe, we’ll still need a bit more evidence against him you know? The name calling was faint and though it sounded like Fred,a lawyer could try to prove us wrong you know?”
“Exactly! We’ll need to head to Annabel’s room to find clues then”
“Yeah! But what about Jessica? How d we tell her all these? How will she react?” “How will I react to what? Jessica interrupted.
Oh my God! This was it,the end! I said in my mind rubbing my face.

“What! Are you nuts Steph? How can you say such! Fred would never do that and why would he?!” She shouted
“Because he impregnated her! He slept with Annabel! He was a flirt. He cheated on you all these while and whenever I tried telling you,you only supported him and pushed me off and ..” I said crying
“Wait Steph! No!! No!! You’re not doing this please!!… No!!!
You knew all these and….! You watched me give myself away to him?! You knew
all these and you shut the fu.ck up?! What type of person are you?! You bitch!! Why did you pretend to be
my best friend?! Huh! Why!!” She said and fell to the floor crying
“I’m sorry Jes.. I didn’t know it’d get to this! I thought you’d find out soon with the way everything was going and you never gave me a chance to explain to you…
You saw me as an enemy to your relationship.. I’m sorry pleeeeaaeee…” I tried touching her but she pushed me away.
“You’re horrible! You’re so heartless! I hate you so much Stephanie and I’ll never forgive you for this! Who knows if you are lying. you’ve always hated Fred! Maybe you’re lying against him.. Maybe!!!” Urghhhh!!! I hate you so much!!! She was crying a lot.
“I’m sorry please..” I said crying
She walked out crying leaving me on the floor in tears.
“Urghhhh!!!! I shouted in pain. I broke the vase beside me and was bleeding but I didn’t damn care! Jeff came and hugged me,he tried speaking to Jessica but she wouldn’t listen.
“I’m sorry babe. It’ll be fine,calm down my love. I’m here for you” Jeff said. “Arrrrrr!!!” I shouted hugging him tighter
“Why me Jeff?! Why me!!” His cloth was already stained with blood. We both stayed down hugging each other like that when Ben barged in in anger. “Arrrghhhh!!” He shouted hitting the door.
I got up from the floor and saw the look on Stacy’s face as well as my brother and that was when I realized I had another problem to deal with.
“What’s the matter Ben I asked with blood dripping down my hands. He hugged me so tight and started crying. He was crying so hard. “Steph!! You’re my sister right?!
“Of course!! Wait! Why are you even saying that?”
“I overheard mom talking with that Damien and it happened to be he was her boss from work back when she was still married”.
“Okay,that means he’s not our dad then right?” Ben looked at me then and tears were rolling down. “He’s my dad!” He answered
“What do you mean?! He’s our dad Ben! That means who then is Victor?! Wait!

“We are not siblings” Ben answered crying

Stacy! Talk to me! Ben’s not in his correct senses! You were there with him too right? What happened? Tell me! Talk to me! Someone please talk to me !!” “Ben’s right! He’s saying the truth! Damien is his father so maybe Victor is your dad and you both are…. Are not related..” Stacy answered trembling and crying. “No! This Can’t be! I’m not believing this! No! No!!!!
I can’t!! Nooo!!! ” I cried so much.
This was the worst moment for us. Ben was crying like a baby in Stacy’s arms
while Jeff was there to console me.
The truth is indeed very bitter!
