I stood na.ked, watching Fred’s reaction. His mouth was agape as he looked down on my genitals. “Am a girl” I said and he looked up at me perplexed.

 

My heart kept vibrating. Would he hate me. Or would his love for me be stronger. To my surprise, he stood up abruptly and started walking out with a bland but perplexed expression. “Are you angry.” I asked when he was in the door way. He paused and looked at me. “No!!” he said quite sternly and stormed off.

 

I walked on to the cushion. I sat on it and buried my face in my palms crying profusely. Yeah… Am a girl… I’ve been a girl all this while. .

I swore as I got into the car, swore as I started driving, swore as I got home and alighted. Swore as my dog welcomed me with a bark. Oh life. I still can’t believe it. I never for one day suspected that Oliver is a girl.

 

I stormed into the family house. Everyone was at home. The house was crowded. It has always been like that during Christmas season. Everyone usually spend the holidays with us.

 

“Hey Liam, where is Mason and the others.” I asked Mason’s younger brother who was playing a video game in the living room.

 

“They went for shopping.” he replied, still engrossed in the game.

 

I walked to the dinning table and sat on one of the twelve chairs. I leaned my head on the table and started thinking far and wild. Oliver is a girl. This must be a dream. Suddenly, I slept off.

The aroma of different delicacies jarred me from my sleep. I tilt up my head. The table was already filled with….. Them.

 

“I thought you’ll sleep forever.” Eric blurted out as he opened his ice-cream.

 

“How long have you been sleeping.” Jeffrey asked. Thank goodness he’s here.

 

A girl was sitting beside him. An unknown girl, she’s so beautiful and she looks so familiar… Very familiar.

 

“So how did it go, did you meet him.” Alex asked while eating a bagel.

 

“Yeah… ” I replied dryly.

 

“Do you tell him that I love him.” Alexa asked and I rolled my eyes. *Lesbian*

 

“There is something you guys don’t know about Oliver.” I stated and they all lean closer. I fidget at their eagerness.

 

“Oliver is a girl!” I blurts out and they all gasped.

 

“I guess you are joking.” Mason lamented.

 

“Such jokes are too dry and preposterous.” Alex interjected.

 

“Mason, Alex,, stop it… He’s right.. Oliver is a girl, I know that.” Jeffrey ventured. “Why are you guys acting like its a new thing… Anyone in his right state of mind would know that Oliver is a girl.” Eric said.

 

I gasped. Eric and Jeffrey knew about it.

 

Alexa stood up in anger. “Stop the joke, Oliver isn’t a girl.” She yelled. I ignored her and turned to Eric. “How did you know?” I asked.

 

He shrugged.

 

“The first day he came into this school, he kept his luggages on my bed. I was so pissed on seeing his things on my bed. I angrily threw it on the floor. And my eyes caught something which fell off. It was a pad.” Eric blurts and I scowled.

 

“A pad?”

 

“Yeah, Virony pad together with panties , I wasn’t that surprised cause I know many girls do disguise themselves just to attend Gay High School. I was so furious that a girl would be staying in the same room with us. No more privacy.”.

 

“Is that why you always treated him like a slave.” Alex asked and Eric nodded.

 

“Though, I love her…no doubt… But I maltreated her because I want her out of the school. Such a school isn’t safe for a delicate girl like her…”

 

While Eric was speaking, everything started making sense to me.

 

“Fred, how was your reaction when she confessed to you.” Jeffrey asked.

 

“My reaction?…i left.. I just left.” I stuttered.

Just then, the door creaked open. All eyes turned to the door. Its Oliver… I mean Olivia. She wa

 

lked in with a shoulderless pink tube top, which showed the strap of her black bra, she also put on a blue skinny jean. her hair was coiled up, making her look like Miley Cyrus. She applied lip gloss to her lips, Mascara wasn’t left out. She augmented her dressing with a blue hills and pink small handbag. What a damsel.

 

The worst part is that, she’s a pure girl, not a tomboy. Am so dumb to notice all

 

this.

Alex and Mason spoke the same time. Everyone watched as she walked in slowly.

Though, it’s weird, but I still run the gauntlet to dress as a girl.

 

All eyes on me, I walked slowly to them with my head low.

 

I got to the dinning. Alexa ran out in tears.

 

I looked at Fred. Then at the others. “Am sorry.” I said lowly.

 

None responded. They just looked at me askance.

 

I don’t know why, but I burst into tears. “Please forgive me.” I said in tears.

 

Eric stood up and held me. “Don’t feel guilty, babe…. By the way, you look so

 

beautiful” Eric teased.

 

“You are not the only one who disguised as a girl afterall.” Jeffrey said and I looked at him amazed.

 

“Who else?” Fred asked.

 

Everyone trailed Jeff’s eyes. He was looking at a beautiful girl beside him.

 

“Yeah… That’s Mitch… Her real name is Mitchella , she was my first love but she broke my heart and followed this idiot.” Eric said and playfully knock Jeffrey’s head.

 

Like seriously, Mitch is a girl.. No wonder.

 

“So Jeffrey isn’t a gay.” Fred blurts out.

 

“Never… I’ve never been a gay. There are many boys in the school who are under

 

disguise, including Alex son, Jimmy, who happens to Be Jenny… Mason son too,

 

Ben whose real name is Benny.” Jeffrey said making Alex and Mason to grin

 

impishly.

Yeah ..Jimmy is a girl, I knew that right from time, but Oliver’s case is still an

 

enigma I can never understand. No wonder I found myself drawing closer to him.

I sat on my bed crying endlessly. One thing I hates most, are girls who falls in love with their fellow girls. So barbaric.

 

I abhor girls who does that. But I’ve fell victim. Of all the cute masculine boys in this town, I fell in love with someone who happens to be a girl. Why? How? There’s no answer, the only answer is, I’m a lesb

 

ian. Life sucks. Maybe I should just look for a boyfriend.

What if I fall in love with someone else and he happens to be a girl. Maybe I should

Okkkkaayyy, should I faint, or cry, or laugh, or just dance like a mad man. How dumb I am. Foolish and irresponsible. To hell with me. I should have suspect that. Am heterosexual right from time, I hate gays with my heart and soul. I’ve never have feelings for my fellow boys. But ever since I met Oliver, things changed. At first I was perplexed that I’m lusting over a boy. But later on, I accepted the fact that am a gay even if is against my morale.

 

But now he happens to be a girl, am supposed to be happy but I’m not.

 

Why?

 

Either because I prefer him being a boy.

 

Or am just so angry that am the only one who doesn’t notice his disguise.

That’s the reason my parents are angry. Gay High School and Queen High School are the only schools in the state. Gay High School for boys, while Queens for girls. But Queen High School is less advanced. Lesbian practice was much and I was scared that I would turn into a lesbian. So I applied at Gay High School, luckily I got a scholarship. So I disguise myself against my parents wish. Am not a twin. I feigned it all. But to be sincere am good at acting.

 

“There’s something you need to know.” Jeffrey cut in.

 

“No one in Gay High School is a gay… All the feminine boys you saw are all girls in disguise. Gays don’t exist in the school. That teacher who tried to rape you, he knew that you are a girl. ”

Fred stood up and looked at me I looked low at the floor. Then he drew me to himself and hugged me tightly.

Why worrying about who you fall in love with. Fate has its own way. Love whoever your heart yearns for. Even if is a boy, girl, or even if is an old woman/man,. Who knows maybe the old person might end up being a pretty damsel. .
