In the morning of the next day, Fostinah prepared her children for school.
“Be good kids” she said to them as they went to the bus which had come to pick them.
She looked at them as they ran to the gate. They waved at her as they got out of the gate.
“They are so beautiful and I want the best for them. But I also have to be happy.” She thought to herself.
She went back into the house and prepared for work.

TWO WEEKS LATER.
It was late in the evening, Grandfather sat in his arm chair on the corridor catching some fresh air as it was hot that day.
Just then his phone started ringing. He checked and found that it was the aunt to Fostinah who called.
“Hello”
“Yes, fine how are you”
“What?!”
“Why?”
“Okay, thank you. I will call him”
Grandfather hanged up the call.
He Immediately dialed Peter’s number on his phone.

“Hello grandpa” Peter answered.
“Peter, i want you to come home right now”
“Is everything okay?”
“Just come right now”
“Okay”
Grandfather shouted the name of grandmother who then came out. He then told her why fostinah’s aunt called for.
Grandmother felt so weak that she couldn’t stand anymore and slowly sat on the floor.
“Why? Why Fostinah”? Grandmother said.
“Don’t worry my dear. He will be here soon and we will see what we can do.” Grandfather said.
“That woman is so heartless. She will regret her actions soon” grandmother said. A little while later, peter arrived at grandfather’s place. He quickly got out of the vehicle and went to where Grandfather was. They exchanged their greetings.
“Grandfather you called for me” Peter said trying to make him talk. “Yes, firstly how are your children?” “They are okay”
“When last did you talk to them?”
“Some four days ago”
“Call your wife now and ask her that you talk to your children”
“Why grandfather?”
“Just do it”
“Okay” Peter said as he got his phone and dialed Fostinah number.
“Yes, how can I help you?” Fostinah asked.
“I would like to talk to my kids.”
“Not today”
“Why?”
“Am not home”
“Oh okay”
He then hung up the phone as he looked at grandfather inquisitively.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” Grandpa asked.
“Yes, i want you to tell me the meaning of this”
“I have now confirmed it. I knew that if she gives an excuse then it’s true.”
“Grandpa, I am lost here. What are you talking about?”
“Okay fostinah’s aunt called saying your children are staying with her now. She
said your son is not feeling okay so they need money for his food as he is not
eating the food which is there”
“What?”
“That’s why I called you”
“Grandpa this can’t be true.”
“Oh so no wonder she has been giving me excuses of talking to them. Grandfather, I will be back”
“Where are you going?”
“I want to go and meet her”
“Who?”
“Fostinah”
“No, what you should do is go and see your son first. You can face her tomorrow.”
“Mmmmmmm okay”
Peter drove to Fostinah’s aunt’s place. When he got there, the twoMartin daughters ran after him so happy to see him. The boy who was weak and sleeping in the bedroom was brought to him.
“So aunt, how long have they been here?” Peter asked

“Why is Fostinah acting like this to her own children? Has she come to see him?” “Yes she came and left a K100 and said that if I need anything I should call your grandfather who will in turn tell you to bring” “Is she sound in her mind?”
“I have tried to reason with her but she is so stubborn. I don’t know what has come over her. Yesterday I told her to take the sick child with her so that she can take good care of him as she is a nurse. She refused.” “She will learn a lesson.”
“Though it will take time”
“Aunt, am getting these children with me right now”
“What about Fostinah? won’t she be angry?”
“If she wanted the children she would have been with them. If she wants let her sue me”
“Okay. Let me just pack for them”
The aunt went and packed all the clothings of the children in a big suitcase. She then brought it to him.
“Thank you so much. We will keep in touch in case of anything” he said.
Peter and his three children got into the vehicle and drove off.
“But why didn’t you tell me that you are not staying at home?” Peter asked his daughter.
“Mummy told us that she will beat anyone who would tell you that” answered the older daughter.
“Don’t worry. You will be fine” he said.
“Daddy, i want to be staying with you” said the sick son.
“Yes, all of you will be staying with me now. We will be living and playing together” he said.
They finally arrived at grandfather’s place. They got into the house. “Am glad they are here now. So what will happen to then now?” Asked grandfather.
“I will be living with them.” Peter said.
“But you will need a lot of things before you can start living with them. Why can’t they stay here with us?”
“Grandpa, you raised my parents, you raised me and now you want to raise my children, no, you need to rest. I will ask for your help when I need it.”
“Okay, I have heard but you still have to leave them here tonight so that tomorrow
you can put things in place”
“Okay.”
Peter left his kids in the hands of his grandparents for that night.

In the morning of that day, Peter drove to his former home to face Fostinah. The gate man opened for him and drove in.
He blew the hone to call her as it was obvious that she was still asleep.
To the surprise of Peter, instead of Fostinah, a man only wearing a towel and a vest came out of the house.
“Hello, we don’t blow hones here. Don’t you know what knocking is?” Asked the man.
“You can’t tell me what to do in my own home. This is my house. The house i built with my hard earned income. And by the way, who are you?!
Before the man could answer back, Fostinah popped up.
“Excuse me! You can’t just come and start causing trouble here. What do you want
here?” Fostinah shouted.
“Who is he?!” Shouted Peter.
“He is my man. Any problem with that?”
“Fostinah why did you toss the children out of this house?”
“Peter kindly leave this place if you know what’s good for you. If I go crazy you know very well what I am capable of.”
“The house was for the one taking care of the kids. If you want this stupid ugly man standing there, go build your own house not in my house” Peter shouted as he was going back to his vehicle.
“Who is ugly? You are the one who is ugly. Look at your head as if your are on benzathine course”
“You mean I am ugly compared to him?”
“Yes you are ugly.”
“Your eyes are cheating you. I can draw this your stupid boyfriend with my left leg whilst my eyes closed” Peter said as he got into the vehicle. “What?!” Fostinah shouted as she jumped to go to him.
The boyfriend held her to stop her from going there.
“Let me teach him a lesson” Fostinah.
Peter drove out of the yard and left the drama queen mad.
