Nadine POV

After Jeremy left,i slumped down to the floor crying profusely.I couldn’t think straight,all the memory have kept in the darkest area of my brain kept rushing back.

The wound in my heart open up like a newly cut.The feelings,the hurt and the pain was as new like it was yesterday.Those night i stayed up to cry because of him.

All the nightmares of bad night, the suffering.I didn’t even know when zoe joined me.Even been a kid she gave me her shoulder to cry on.

“Mommy, stop crying.Don’t cry mom” Zoe said with tears in her eyes.I kept staring at her without saying anything.Only if she know the reason behind her tears is her dad.

“Mommy, did the uncle do something bad,are you hurt.Do you need something…..”

She kept asking different question which the answer are what am afraid of saying.

“Baby”,i spoke up for the first time after Jeremy has left.

“Promise mama that you will never leave her no matter what happened”,i said looking straight into her eyes while she nodded.

“You will be strong for mama”,i said hugging her really tight.

Only the thought of letting the source of my happiness go was killing me.Zoe is all i get,no family no husband no love one’s except her.she is what kept me going after all these years.

“Mommy why are you saying all these?”,my daughter asked with her tiny voice.What should i tell her now?

“Hmm.. You know everyone do say pinky promise and i just gave my own”,i said smiling nervously.

“Oh really? ,she said with happiness in her voice.Mommy promise me that i will see my dad one day” ,she said.My heart sank at the mention of that name.

I pretend faking a cough.

“Yes mommy and also promise me that i will wake up to see you beside me,” she asked pouting her lips.If that would make her drop the topic about her Dad,i will do it.I thought.

With that we left for the nearest shopping mall.

Jeremy POV

After i drop the call,a hopeful smile was on my face.I pray zoe turns out to be my daughter,that will be the best news I’ve ever heard.

But there was something i don’t get.Could it be that she still love ne cause i saw something fkash in her eye before it turns to hurt.

Jeremy after everything you have done to her!You still have the guts to think she loves you?my mind snap at me.I didn’t know when i slept off to dream land.

In my dreamland,i met my self infront of Nadine and Zoe who kept smiling.”Jeremy have missed you even your child dose”Nadine said. “My child?”i questioned while tears of joy kept coming. “My child have missed you”,i said kissing her hair.

“Nadine,am really sorry for all i have done to you,only if i could go back in time I would have done it many years ago.Please come back to my life and let start again”i said getting on my knees.”Jeremy i love you and will always do”,Nadine said.I was about to kiss her when i felt a tap….
