My phone rang and I picked it up.

“Hello Almet”. I said and his voice seemed strange. “Hi”. He said.

“What’s wrong?” I asked and he coughed.

“Jeanne is back, you know i didn’t kill her”. He said and I gasped. “What the f**k, that bitch is here?”. I asked.

“Yes”. He replied and Raymond yawned getting up from the bed.

“She has evidence to put both I and Raymond in jail”. He said and my heart raced. “What?”. I asked loudly.

“What’s wrong?” Raymond asked. “Nothing”.I replied.

“She said Raymond is a murderer”. He said and my heart beat. “That’s bullsh*t you know”. I said and frowned.

“She showed me the letters he wrote, he wrote in a letter how he successfully killed a woman”. He said and I gasped and turned to look at Raymond.

“That’s impossible”. I replied.

“I’m not joking, I’m already in hiding, seems she’s reported me to the cops, my pics are all over the place, for once I’m scared, you need to come right away, I don’t want them to take our dad, he might be in trouble, she doesn’t even care about Davis”. He said and my heart raced.

“Fine, I and Raymond will come right away”. I said.

“Please come quick, be careful of Raymond, I still don’t trust him”. He said and I sighed and cut the line.

“Whatever”. I muttered.

“Who was that?”. Raymond asked. “It was uhh my brother”. I replied.

“You have a brother”. He asked surprised. “Yes, I do”. I replied.

“Stop keeping secret from me”. He said and I smiled. “Why? Are you my savior or what?”. I asked.

“I’m your boyfriend”. He said. “What?”. I muttered.

“We might get married soon, don’t forget last night, I had fun”. He said.

“We need to go back to Texas today”. I said and he blinked. His eyes widened. “You’re joking right, we haven’t even started anything”. He said and I sighed.

“I know, it’s not my fault anyway but your grumpy wife is around”. I replied and he looked at me shocked.

“How do you know my wife?”. He asked. “Isn’t she Jeanne?”. I asked ande smiled.

“She is Jeanne, mother of Davis but she left a long time ago”.

“Well, she kidnapped me and my brother saved me, then he made me rich, your lunatic wife tried to kill me because Davis loved me”. I said crying.

“Why are you just telling me all these?”. He asked.

“I didn’t want to hurt you”. I replied and he hugged me. “Let’s go back to Texas”. He said.

“It would have been a good option but Jeanne has reported you and my brother to the police, she claims she has evidence that you murdered a woman and wrote a letter to her”. I said and he blinked surprised.

“That’s a real lie, why would I kill someone, in my life, I’ve never been so violent”. He said and I frowned.

“You wouldn’t win because you’ve stepped on people and she’s going to use that against you”. I said and he frowned.

“My son, she might want to hurt Davis”. He said and I shook my head.

“She wouldn’t dare hurt him, if she hurt him, she won’t be able to fool the cops, they won’t believe her”. I said and he nodded.

“She left my life shattered, she was never a good mother, that’s what I’ll use against her”. He said and I chuckled.

“Do you think she wouldn’t have thought of that? She must have used a letter or something to implicate you”. I said.

“I know who she’s going to use, a lot of people, she’s going to bribe them”. I said and he nodded.

“I know but Davis would help me out, he doesn’t want her”. I said.

“She’s still his mother, he’ll still love her and she can mislead him”. I said and he shook his head negatively.

“It’s like you don’t know the power of a woman”. I said and he laughed. “It isn’t funny”. I said.

“Ok, I’ll call a bike that would take us to Dallas”. He said.

“No, I don’t want any inconvenience, we’ll go to the airport, my dad’s life might also be in danger.

Almet’s POV

“Hello dad”. I said as soon as he picked his phone.

“Where are you? I and nanny Isadora has been worried sick”. He said.

“Dad, it’s complicated but our lives are in danger, Jeanne is back”. I said and he gasped.

“I knew it, you should have gotten rid of that element”. He said.

“But I didn’t want to soak my hands in blood”. I replied. “But now she’s displayed my picture and Raymond’s picture, she’s going to use you against me, please dad, don’t accept the fact that I kidnapped you or beat you”. I said.

“Of course dear son, I won’t say you did all those awful things to me”. I said and I heard a fierce noise in the background.

“Dad, dad”. I called out but there was no response. Sh*t, they must have taken him.

Nuella’s POV

I got down from the car and saw the cops surrounding my house, they handcuffed my dad and I got angry and ran towards them. I slapped the female detective on the face.

“Why would you handcuff an old man that’s innocent?”. I asked and slapped her on the face again.

“You want more”. I asked and Raymond stopped me.
