Leon’s hand slide to my thigh and squeeze it. I tried hard not to respond but my body failed me, it respond an react to his every touch. He started kissing my shoulders.
“Leon stop” i said but my voice sounded like a sweet moan…..”Leon…I…I don’t want to”

Leon was surprised….Gem has never decline him when he wanted to sleep with her…..why now?, Was it
because she was still mad at him?.
“Gem enough already…..you know am doing this for your own good and for our baby” he said.
“I’ve heard you…. please stop talking about it” i said and sat on the couch.
The room became quiet until my phone started ringing. Leon took the phone because it was closer him. His face darkened. It was Ryan calling. Before I could walk to him he picked the call.
“Hello Gem?”
“It’s her husband….” He said with an angry voice.
“Oh……good evening Mr…..”
“Why are you calling my wife?” Leon asked.
“I was…uhmm…. going to inform her about her father’s state……”
“She’s not coming….I’ll send my men to take gift to him……and by the way stop calling my wife” he ended the
call.
“Really Leon!!!!” I said
“Gem i don’t want to fight with you” he said standing from the bed.
“I dont want to fight with you either……” I said and he made a call.
Few minutes later Sasha entered the room with a little box. Leon collected it and handed it to me.
“What’s this?” I asked as I opened the package.
“Your new phone!” He said
“I don’t want a new phone am okay with my old one…..Leon…..give it back” i said but he smash the phone on the well “LEON!!!!” I yelled
“I’d rather hurt your feeling that to watch you get hurt…….” He said. “Am sorry kitten…..I don’t care if am making you scared of me….but…I can’t watch them hurt you again…….”
It’s been a week Leon and I haven’t been talking. Yes we live in the same room, sleep on the same bed but we don’t talk to each other.
We were eating in the dinning table. Grandma eyes kept on swaping from me to Leonel. I know they’ve seen the changes and weird atmosphere.
My stomach was like it was spinning. I was really uncomfortable. I drank some water. It was like I was having a hangover but I didn’t drink………I quickly filled my glass again and drank more water…..all eyes were on
me…..Leon was worried but couldn’t asked what was wrong.
“Little Gem are you okay?” Grandma asked.
“Yes grandma…I….I get……” I didn’t finish my word before I felt like throwing up again…..I quickly ran into the
kitchen…..Leon ran after me. I bent down in the sink and began to throw up………Leon rub my back but I push his hands off.
Seeing this grandma walk to towards up and gesture Leon to step back. He did.
“It’s okay……it’s alright” she rub my back. As I raise my head up, my head spin again and I almost fell down but
Leon caught me.
“Get your hands off me!” I manage to say but he carried me back to the chair.
“Are you alright?, Should I call the doctor?” He asked kneeling on front of me.
“Do you even care?” I asked and I saw the hurt in his eyes.
“Oh….don’t worry son…. she’ll be fine…..all pregnant women go through this stage” she said. I felt like vomiting again….I ran to the sink and began to throw up again.
“Is there anything to stop it?” He asked
“No…..it will get worse soon…… she’ll be sick every morning…..if I were you I’d settle with her…. because at
that stage every woman needs her husband” mom said to Leonel.
I hated this feeling…….
I felt like dying.
The next morning…..
I was weak…..
my stomach kept on spinning
….I was so frustrated that I began to cry.
Leon walked into the room with a cub in his hands.

Gem’s father could not the person who tried to kill his
grandfather. He wasn’t sure but something wasn’t right. Leon wanted to figure things out.
“How long will you be gone?” I asked
“Not sure…..
but I’ll try to be back before the baby is born!”
“Leon it’s just two months left???” I said
