Continuation From the Last Episode:

“Hello Royal.” Ariel said, smiling brightly.

“Hi Ariel, what are you doing with Tyler?” Royal asked, trying not to feel jealous.

“He is my friend.” Ariel lied not knowing why she was lying.

“Your friend?” Royal repeated after her in a disbelief tone. “How can a servant girl like you become friends with the Prince?”

“I can become friends with anyone I want.” Ariel answered. “Let’s forget about him and talk about you, the first day I saw you sweeping and now you are in the kitchen, what sort of servant are you?”

“I would ask you the same. How can a servant girl like you have such rare hair? I haven’t seen one in my thous- years of life. Who are you really? Why do you have water fountain hair?” Royal whispered out the last so only she could hear him.

‘Told you she will be back for you.’ Dark said in his mind.

Groaning inwardly, he blocked his mind and thoughts from his wolf.

“Can you keep a secret?” Ariel asked, whispering.

“Yes Ariel, what kind of secret?” Royal asked.

“What are you doing here Darken?” Mari demanded when she recognised the voice that spoke, facing him, putting her hands behind her back as she made the crown go invisible in her hand before dropping it on the table behind her. “Last time remember I didn’t invite you.” She added coldly, crossing her hands.

King Darken was standing in the middle of the poorly little living room filled with books, in fact there was no space to sit. The only chair available is the one in Mari study table.

“It’s been a long time since we last saw each other Mari, you’ve grown more beautiful lately.” King Darken said, ignoring her coldness towards him. Anyone who doesn’t know Mari would think she was rude when she’s not really rude.

“Perhaps I did not make myself clear the first time.” Mari said, her eyes sparkling like thunder. “What are you doing here?”

“Is this how you welcome your lover, if I could remember Mari you weren’t this cold before, what happened to you or did your Mate disappearance brought out this bitter soul in you?”

“Whatever we had in the past remains in the past, you have your Mate and I have mine regardless of what he did to me.” Mari told Darken. “Now what do you want?” She asked hoping Ariel shouldn’t show up by now.

She shouldn’t come when Darken is here.

“I came here to see you Love, like I said it’s been long I last you.” King Darken responded. “Won’t you at least offer me a sit?”

Sighing, Mari levitated her chair to him. “Sit down and tell me the reason why you are here, I won’t ask you this question again before I take my action.” She told King Darken In all seriousness.

Sitting down, “To be frank with you, I came here for two reasons, one to see your beautiful face again and two, for you to tell me where River King Reed’s child is.” King Darken said to her and studied her facial reactions, she didn’t look surprised or shocked when he said he was here to know the whereabouts of River, her facial reactions were still the same, expressionless. Her heart was beating normally

“I know Lora told you that information, but please do tell her not to mention my name in an issue like this, I don’t know who is River or the whereabouts of River. The next time she does mention my name, I will personally kill those Scorpions of hers that made her think she is above everyone.” Mari warned.

“Only a foolish person would buy this act of yours and I am not a foolish person.” King Darken said getting up to his feet. “We were once lovers and I know everything about you unlike your runaway Mate.” He added.

“Believe whatever you want but do not provoke me any further Darken.” Mari said, trying to control her anger.

“What promises did River make to you that you are concealing his or her identity? Who is River and what gender is River? I know you know.” King Darken asked. He knows Mari knows the whereabouts of River but is beating around the bush.

Hissing loudly, “I have other things to do rather than listening to your blabbing. Leave my house now Draken or you shall leave here with a broken nose, don’t bring out the old Mari in me for you won’t like what I would do to you.”

“This is not the last of me, my Love, I will be back again when you least expect it.” King Darken said with a dangerous smirk.

“By then, I would have put a stronger magic to send the likes of you back to wherever you came from.”

“Until then Mari.” With that, King Darken was gone.

When she was sure he was long gone, Mari turned around and made the crown visible once again.

She sat down on the bare floor, crossing her legs in India style and placed the crown in front of her.

Briefly closing her eyes, she remembered how the lips of her sister were moving when she was picking up her crown.

Focusing on Latifah lips, she followed her murmured words and her eyes flew wide open. She knew the spell Latifah had used.

Saying the spell backwards, the blue smoke started coming out of the crown and started transforming into Luke.

Mari’s eyes widened in shock and surprise when she saw who it was.

“Luke.”

“Mari.” Luke said in equal surprise and shock.

Her throat suddenly went dry and she fainted.
