“What can you do”? Miss Angelina asked Derrick who smiled before answering him.

 

“I can cook ” he replied still smiling

 

 

“Fine we will see ” she said leading the way to where the kitchen is located, followed by Derrick. She brought out some food ingredients giving Derrick space to see what he can do. Derrick as smart as he is without time wastage, he pulled off his clothes wearing the kitchen apron, he first fry the egg before doing the rest, in less than 45 minutes he was done while the aroma filled the entire house.

 

Angelina tasted the food Derrick cooked to see it very delicious and yummy including the food aroma, she smiled nodding her head still chewing the food in her mouth.

 

“0You are in, start work tomorrow evening ” She said

 

“Oh thank you very much ma” she replied smiling as the woman took time to read out the laws and rhles governing the restaurant for him.

♥ ANA POV ♥

 

I felt somehow that afternoon but I didn’t know the cause, I felt that Derrick was near me before his body scent was everywhere but how will I prove it or am I going mad?. My heart was so troubled, I overheard my madam talking to someone in her office but I didn’t know who the person was that was why I decided to rest until I regained myself.

Dera was on her way to see Mike likewise Mike who was on his way to see a friend of his, he looked extremely handsome in his dress, showing his six packs muscles, his pink lips and his big balck eyes can even make the owl itself to run for her life. The cool music that was playing in tbe background made his stay in the car more wonderful as he kept nodding his head to the music.

 

“There stop beside that building ” he said to the driver who stopped and then he went down.

“Ma’am you sent for me ” Patricia replied standing before her angry mistress who turned to her like a lioness ready to fight.

 

“What did you do to my son “? She barked angrily

 

“Ma’am I didn’t do anything to him” zhe replied but it was too late as a hot slap from Mrs Ellison turned her face to the other side. Patricia held her cheek in pain as tears were formed in her eyes already.

 

“How dare you lie to me” she asked angrily looking at her

 

“Ma’am I was trying to defend myself, he wanted to rape me ” Patricia replied almost crying.

 

“Evan if he rape you, can’t you be happy that finally a cute handsome man has satisfied you and go down your dirty thing”? She said as the anger in Patricia began boiling.

 

“Ma’am if I was your daughter and I report this case to you as my mother will you treat me like this “? She asked as tears rolled down her eyes.

 

“You are not my daughter and you will never be ” Mrs Ellison replied as Patricia ran out crying, she stormed into tbe maids room, began packing her clothes and all her belongings. The pains was just too much, she didn’t know why the family of Mr Ellison hates her. Her tears was still flowing as Amanda almost laughed out loud.

 

“Finally they have catched you trying to seduce oga again idiot” she mocked hissing

 

“What is your own can’t you leave her alone “? Angela said angrily walking to Patricia.

 

 

“My dear where will you go from here? We all know your story and how your survive how are you going to cope with life when you leave here? Please just endure the pians for a while ” Angela said holding hey shoulder while Patricia turned to her

 

“What wrong have I done since I came here? Mother and son are already on my nerves, tell me if it were you what will you have done “? She asked

 

“I understand just calm down first, don’t allow the anger in you to take over you ” she said while Patricia cried on her shoulder.

♥ DERRICK POV ♥

 

I felt inner Joy when I was accepted in the restaurant as a cook, I knew perfectly well that with that I can make up some money to do something tangible, with that I will be able to at least provide a day meal for the family. Everytime I remember my dad story my eyes filled with tears, remembering also my sister who is suffering in someone’s house which I’m yet to see her of which I don’t know now she looks like. I pray she’s still alive for me, at least the work will keep me busy since its a big joint after school hours. God please help me out.

Toledo University began it’s daily activities as student walked up and down running to lectures, Derrick was well dressed as he met Rose on the way going to lecture too.

 

“Hey Rose ”

 

“Derrick “she called returning the smile

 

“How are you doing today “?

 

“I’m good as usual,” she replied showing her shinning teeths

 

 

“What of Ana “? He asked but seeing Ana walking to him he kept mute.

 

“Hey Rose Whatsup “? She asked

 

“I’m good you “?

 

“Always good, let’s proceed to lecture ” zhe said pretending as if she has not seen Derrick, she tried walking away but Derrick grabbed her arm turning her swiftly in a way she almost fell down but staggered holding Derrick’s hand firmly.

 

“Am I invisible “? He asked

 

“Just let me go Derrick “she said in pain as Derrick still held her hand.

 

“I won’t let you go until you answer me first ” the pain was unbearable for her to bear.

 

“Fine you are not invisible ”

 

“Then why did you ignore me as if you didn’t see me ” Derrick asked

 

“Because I hate you “she said aloud as the word went deep into Derrick heart. His hands weakened and she noticed his changed of mood and everything but how will she explained it to him that she’s saying the opposite of the word, how can he tell him that he loves him.

 

Handsome sighted how Derrick was holding Ana, he walked to them smiling while Ana returned the smile.

 

“Hey guys whats up “? Derrick saw how Ana smiled at handsome he released her instantly feeling jealous.

 

“Handsome I gotta go now ” he said and walked away to the lecture hall feeling her heart beat increased.

♥ ANA POV ♥

 

Sitting in the lecture hall, my mind was not in the topic neither did I hear anything that was said by the lecturer, remembering how Derrick left sadly haunt my conscience meaning that I’ve hurt him, seeing him looked at me smiling made me beleive that he feels the same way for him. But how will I possibly tell him that but seeing him so sad hurt me, the way he left after handsome arrived hurt me too.

♥ ROSE POV ♥

 

Watching the cinema that transpired between Ana and Derrick made me believe that they both have something for each other but Ana is not ready to admit it. The way Derrick felt was just like the same way I would have felt if something like that happened to me. I watched them both but j decided to keep mute and allow fate to decide.

Derrick finally left the lecture hall immediately after lecture without wasting time, Ana looked around but he was out of sight, his footsteps could be heard like that of an angry soldier, he walked pass many students on the way. His ringing phone made him stop on the way, he took it out to discover that it’s Handsome Calling,he slid to the receiver side waiting patiently for him to say something.

 

“Hello ”
