As technology ages day by day in Nigeria, most especially in Nigeria higher institutions ranging from Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education and Mono technics, it has caused made negative effects on the Youths which are finding their ways into internet fraudster in order to pay up their billings and to search for money in all way because mostly in Nigeria, most thing they believe is usually that There will no be good job opportunities after schooling in higher institution so they think the best for them is to go into internet fraud.
Topster Generallord reported that Six suspected Internet fraudsters were, on Tuesday, arrested in Ibadan, Oyo State, when operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission raided their hideout at the Kolapo Ishola Estate, Akobo area of the city.
The early morning bust, according to sources in the commission, followed series of petitions by residents of the community detailing the alleged illegal activities of the suspects.
The suspects, whose ages range from 24 to 30 years, are TELLA ADEFEMI IBRAHIM, AWONIYI ADESEYE ABIODUN, OLADELE OLAWALE WASIU, OLABITI AFEEZ AJIBOLA, AKEREDOLU OLUWAFEMI TEMIDAYO AND OYAREMI OLALEKAN OLABODE.
The source added that the intelligence gathered on the suspects suggested that they were deeply involved in fraudulent activities, including love scams and different forms of Internet fraud, through which they obtained money from unsuspecting victims.
